oven door seals twice in five years, I'm told the new generation oven no longer uses silicon rubber door seals. The oven door handle chrome finish has also deteriorated. Given the high cost of this oven, I think the build quality should have been much better. Overall, this oven is only of average quality.
We had one of these which we installed about 5 years ago with the pyro feature. It’s been a pretty good oven, lots of useful features. for the price that we paid (with the pyro self cleaning feature) that the warranty was short, it almost burned down my kitchen because their door didn’t seal properly and they blamed it on us and now have more issues which they’re not willing to fix too. So basically 15 grand to have to buy a new oven within 5-6 years, nope I don’t think I’ll go with Falcon again.
Bought this oven-recently. 6 weeks ago. Had to wait a month for 3 new Elements That were faulty! I have been opening an oven door for 50 years. Cooked a cake On Fan Forced + opened the door to remove it. The gush of heat burnt my eyes very badly. Can show a Drs report if nesseary …
I chose very carefully and as it turned out, very well. Everything about my Falcon Professional is – So far everything works extremely well, from cook tops to the oven, both small and large ovens. Because the fan forced oven elements are so efficient I have scarcely used the top and lower elements as yet. Everything from bread and cakes to roasts now turns out very well. As for the gas stove top elements, I really appreciate that it has a low flame burner which does not need a diffuser in order to simmer, the medium flame burners for mid-range cooking in addition to the high flame wok burner. It is all very simple to use and easy to clean.
Love the oven and grill plate – I bought this oven during the free rangehood promo. Had to get the service tech to come fix the hood as I cant remove the filters there are poor fit. Second call is to fix the oven fans as I found them making weird sound. Both occasions customer service was good and we got a tech came within a week or so. think I will call them to fix my stove as very often a couple of burners will have issue of fire going out few seconds after it's lighted.
The thing I like about the cooker:
Non-stick grill plate- great to cook eggs, bacon, pancake and even sausages. I use it a lot. Easy to clean with a quick wipe or rinse in the sink.
Oven- For a family of 5, l usually just use the half capacity and it warms up fast. Cooks beautifully, I bake, roast, slow cook using my oven.
The oven door stays cool during cooking.
I was a bit worried the food might go to the air vent grill at the back but so far it looks clean. I normally just wipe the top of the grill.
A little note on the rangehood, easy to clean and works well. Hard to get an authorised installer to quote and do the job (this is to get the extended 2 years warranty). I ended up getting my plumber and electrician to install it.
Lovely feature of our kitchen – With a new kitchen an outstanding is required, this is it. The styling and functions make time in the kitchen trying any new recipes a joy. The quality of cakes and home baked bread or just a roast dinner are all a absolute delight. The large oven space allows for a good amount of fresh biscuits. Show details · 1
Love love love it! – I've only had this oven for about a month now and just love it. Easy to clean and cooks like a dream. I haven't used the Pyrolytic function as yet so can't say what that is like. It heats up a lot quicker than I thought it would, this being the first time I've had an oven this large.....and boy is it large, can fit alot in there!
I have become the ultimate home chef! – Love, love, love cooking in my Falcon oven. Everything is cooked to perfection. I actually cook around 10 degrees lower than a recipe recommends because it has such great heat in the oven. Very easy to clean. Looks impressive (I get a lot of comments). Cook top is well thought out with plenty of space to cook with multiple pans at the same time. It has a teppanyaki plate that I love cooking meat on, or pancakes! It has a timer on the clock and I can also program it to start or stop cooking. Also has a storage drawer at the bottom, that holds all the extra pieces that divide the oven so you can cook in a smaller space (I haven't tried that yet!). I wish I had bought the Pyrolytic version, so that I didn't have to clean the inside of the oven.
