Not Suitable for the Sub Tropics! – Update: Fanco have replaced both fans under warranty and these appear to be working silently now. Orginal Post: Like others who have posted here I also spent a lot of time researching the most efficient and highest quality fans to install as I can only afford to do this once (I need five and all with lights).
I had the first two installed in my childrens' rooms six weeks ago. While the build quality, looks and acoustics are all good, these fans just do not move a lot of air around. And they are fiddly to assemble and install which means nearly $150 per fan in sparky costs on top of the $350 purchase outlay (I also needed drop rods).
We have had these fans on top speed since day one in the Brisbane winter. One now has to be replaced under warranty. I regret the $1000 I have spent so far on purchasing and installing these and will probably have to now buy ugly stand fans for summer!
Fanco are not sympathetic to my concerns about their under performance and the lack of consumer information advising potential purchasers that these are not a 'high output' fan.

pretty average looking.
Once I saw the Eco Breeze with light online it was the first that didn’t make me cringe. After researching the brand and customer reviews it was decided. We purchased 3 and they are even better to look at in real life!
They’re powerful, super quiet and look simple, quality and classy.
The remote is simple, slim enough and feels good in hand - not flimsy like many I’ve come across.
Our electrician commented on the apparent quality as he was installing them as well. This is the same sparky who scoffed when I told him of my journey and suggested “just some from bunnings would be fine”. He mentioned how simple they were to assemble and how good quality all parts appeared.
I’ve had a few friends comment on them and purchase from seeing them in our home.

Gorgeous fan. Works perfectly. Wiring directions could be improved – I love this fan. It’s gorgeous and I’m very happy with it but I have two suggested improvements. confuse... one other point- the fwd/reverse isn’t easily identifiable. I have no idea what direction my fan is turning in and whether it’s on the summer or winter setting. Other than that, it’s excellent. It doesn’t wobble about like cheap Bunnings fans and it’s so beautiful to look at. I love it’s simplicity and the fact it works by remote control. I’d definitely recommend it. The price was the best I found and I REALLY did my research. I narrowed down about 40 available fans from both local and online stores and this one was the most beautiful and the cheapest in the category of fans I was hunting for. Buy it. You won’t regret it. Just make sure your electrician understands that the filter only goes in one way and only trial and error will tell you which way is correct because the wiring diagram doesn’t.

Great in all aspects! – I spent ages looking for a aesthetically pleasing simple fan with a light, harder than I expected. it’s good to have the option for the 4th or 5th if it was really hot. My electrician commented on how well it was built and ease of installation. Only thing I would suggest and I think this has been commented on previously is that the light is a cool white rather than warm white. I’m a huge believer that Residential interior lighting should be warm white - I think this would be a great addition to an already fantastic fan!

Dont buy Fanco very noisy fan and company wont honour warranty – Bought completely renovated house with brand new fanco ecobreeze fan. Fan made loud clicking cant sleep with. Spoke to company they were completely unwilling to help unless i had receipt. As i didnt install, the builder didnt leave receipt. Had the warranty booklet but that was not enough. Kept dismissing my emails passing it to different people. Completely out of pocket for new fan and electrician. Worst company. Dont buy from them. Show details

Great fan, horrible piercing beep! – Love the fan style & airflow, we have the one with the light. Unfortunately the loud piercing beep that sounds when the light and / or fan is turned on & off is awful so I have rated the noise level as a '1'. The beep is in the unit itself so it beeps using either the wall switch or the remote. Show details

Installed in the bedroom – I love the simple but elegant design and am very happy with how this whisper quiet fan works. I am especially pleased that it can be operated by a remote which didn't (but could if you wish) need to be attached to the wall. We have only used the lowest setting so far and found the air flow is gentle and sufficient. Its stability in situ adds to the quiet operation of the fan. I am considering buying a couple more ... Fantastic, quiet, bedroom fan – This fan is quite incredible in how quiet it is while moving a lot of air. Really glad we bought 3 of these fans for our bedrooms! Only drawback is that the LED light is quite white/clinical. Would be great if there was a multi-colour LED so you could choose a warm white. So quiet and great airflow! Perfect for the bedroom – I am a very light sleeper so noise was my main concern. I run the eco breeze on speed 1 or 2 all night and cannot hear a thing. The airflow is great - I can snuggle under my blanket with a nice breeze to keep me cool. The fan looks really stylish and no wobbles. We bought another one with the LED light for the guest room. Great fan! – Bought the fan online and got it installed by an electrician. Assembly and installation were easy. We've installed it in the living room, it's a quiet fan, doesn't disturb when watching tv. Good fan speeds and the remote is really handy. for a DC fan. The light is quite bright and lights the room well.
Mine does make a very slight buzzing noise that changes pitch and volume which unfortunately happens to mimic the sounds of a mosquito. It's very soft, not audible except in the still of the night and something I have to deal with and for most its no problem but for someone like me it does detract and is why I can't give 5 stars. Apart from that it makes no other noise, no ticking or grinding noises and the 6 speed options means you always have the right speed option.
