A great load capacity & 5 yr warranty
I'm one of those people. Research, research research. I won't talk about the other brands in the short-list but the best brands were only offering 4 and 5 yr warranty and the sales guy were using the warranty as the best selling point. Problem is you are paying 1000 plus more for it. We wanted large bowl capacity - tick, its one of the largest, large door opening for easy access- tick so a king sized doona would fit, easy controls-tick, good looking design - tick I like the smoked glass and it has an internal light, but most importantly warra...
Read morenty. It comes with a 2 yr warranty but for the rest of 2020 you can extend for a further 3 yrs free factory F&P warranty. Every sales person I spoke too didn't know about the free extended warranty available. My budget was 1600 so got it for a fraction more, tick just in my sweet spot. BTW Its the only F&P washing machine to be eligible for the extended warranty. We had the F&P top loader (the highly rated version) and I must say clothes are cleaner. As with most front loaders filling with water is a little noisy but the rest of the cycle is whisper quiet. We have had it for a month and very impressed. Highly recommendedPurchased in April 2020 at The Good Guys for $1,649.00.

Purchased in March 2019 at The Good Guys for $1,900.00.
This machine was not for me....
We have only owned front loaders and this by far tops the line for being the most harsh on our garments and manchester. It definitely washes and with that comes pilling in saying that I believe it would be a great commercial machine for heavy items. Auto-dosing is not very effective even after altering the pre set to the highest option.
On the upside this machine has very quick cycles and if you dont have alot of delicates/gentle machine washables this machine maybe for you.
Have contacted Fisher and Paykel spoken with a lovely lady named Maureen who has been knowledgeable and professional. Will keep posting updates
Purchased in February 2019.

Hi guys, Just wondering if it's full load 12Kg how long it will take to wash and spin on the fastest washing mode or quickest wash and spin time.
Thank you

Hi C. Thomas, I believe all washing machines are rated with wet loads so it's not 12kg of dry clothes. I would recommend you go and have a look in the shop if haven't already as the opening is larger than most. It washes king size sheets no problem Don't think of front loaders washing as fast as top loaders so try not to compare. Clothes are dryer, cleaner. I don't use a fast wash so don't know but normal is about 45 min. Just set and forget. Typically we get up in morning put the washing on, get ready and have breakfast and it's done. Hope that helps. When I purchased last year I got extra free warranty to 5 yrs. The promo has now finished. I'm happy with the purchase and how it washes.
Thanks Cheryl.. Yes the 5 years promo back on, that's the main reason I am thinking of this model. so going to shop today also heard that the 1400 rpm spin is great.. thank you so much for your time.

I’ve had Meile Bosch and LG all their flagship models which have failed me at up to $4599 for a front loader.
Am now looking at cheaper options such as this F&P.
When it washes is there a pump that circulates water to the top of the drum?
What is the auto dosing like? Can you adjust the amount of detergent etc?

I'm not sure about pump..you can check in data sheet or speak o sales person as I dont watch the cycle. What I can say is clothes are very clean. Autodose - doesn't work. Tried different brands of liquids, tried increasing dosage through menu. Tried cleaning tray. But not really bothered I just put liquid into manual section and happy. Ive had machine for 4 months. That's my only complaint. For the price with 5 yr factory warranty great value.
When you say auto dose doesn’t work what doesn’t work about it? Is it not dispensing enough ?
