Great Long lasting Dishwasher - 12 years old and still going – Brought 12 years ago.. Been at absolute workhorse... Really reliable. In the 12 years we have had a leak in a pipe underneath, replaced the door seals, replaced door hinge spring and the drain hose perished and leaked.. Was able to get spare parts still, about to replace the one of the front feet that got damaged, been a great dishwasher. Well worth the money.. Show details

Cleans very well (when the tablet comes out of dispenser) and fairly quiet but won't buy again – Cleans extremely well (when the tablet comes out of dispenser) and fairly quiet. We scrape dishes and never rinse before putting them in. We've had ours for 6 years but won't buy again when it dies because: Bottom rack ALWAYS jams and falls off track when full with dishes (this is the most annoying feature of this dishwasher); one of the lower… Read more

plastic removable plate stackers is so flimsy and useless we never use it; tablet sometimes doesn't come out of dispenser so doesn't dissolve; brown sticky stuff leaking from lower door.

My best friend in the Kitchen – Bought in 2013, on Sold it in 2018 ONLY due to a kitchen makeover and replaced with a not as effective single dishdrawer. If not for the new kitchen I would have happily kept it. It was quiet, strongly effective, simple and easy to use. Don't know why others are complaining about undissoved dish powder and tablets. I never had a problem.  Show details

Rubbish – It's just on four years old and has died. It has never done a good job at either washing or drying the dishes. The majority of the time it didn't even dissolve the powder or tablet. The bottom drawer tips and jams. The top washer arm falls down or it did until I cable tied it in place. Simply put, it is and always was a piece of rubbish.  Show details

Short lived – The dishwasher cleaned quite well, but we got barely 5 years use out of it and by this time the door seal was gone (requiring a whole inner panel to be replaced) and the main control board went as well. Quoted $450 to repair both, so we cut our losses and off it goes to the scrap heap. I know we live in an age of disposability but 5 years for a… Read more

Great Bargain Dishwasher – Slick, simple and use to use. The bargain that is this dishwasher is sure to suprise many with its great cleaning power. Two trays means heaps of room for plenty of plates and the program function is simplistic so not fancy menus and such to navigate through. Great all round machine, highly recommended!  Show details

Don't buy Fisher & Paykel – Paid $1200 and not even four years old but has stopped working and requires new circuit board and pump motor. Not what we expect from Fisher & Paykel but maybe their quality has dropped over the years. $450 to fix so will be going in the bin and replaced with a Miele instead. My advice, avoid Fisher & Paykel dishwashers.  Show details

I wouldn't recommend this dishwasher even to my enemy – Terrible dishwasher / constantly something going wrong with it and then I am washing dishes by hand/ how exciting pay so much and then wash dishes anyway ! Unbelievable Fisher & Paykel was so… Read more

Absolute piece of rubbish – I had this dishwasher for approximately 3 years and used it very rarely. It looked good but that was its best feature. It started showing up a message saying the water wasn't getting through. It ended up costing me more than half of what I payed originally, to get it fixed, as it needed a new module. It is very poor for stacking and the tablet… Read more

drawer would never open. I was very disappointed with this dishwasher and also F&P as they did not want anything to do with the problem. I will never buy another F&P product as long as I live!

Absolute piece of junk – Have always been a Fisher and Paykel loyal customer. The washing machine, dryer and fridge have been mostly reliable with good years of service but this dishwasher has been a real lemon. I bought it about 2.5 years ago. It started to leak around the bottom door seal about a year ago. I managed to purchase a new seal and it mostly fixed the leak… Read more

but it has a major design fault around the bottom seal of the door.

A few days ago (and of course out of warranty) there was a strong burning plastic smell and the washer stopped spraying water. I have tracked the smell and fault down to a burnt out main pump motor.

I cannot seem to track down a replacement motor and looking at the prices for plastic items on the dishwasher I suspect the motor would be in the hundreds of dollars anyway so I am now throwing this 2.5 year old unit that cost me $750! in to the rubbish.

Take heed of all the other negative warnings they are not lying...Do not buy f&p dishwashers.

I have just ordered an LG so I hope that will be better.

Breaks down after 3 years – Started out great - some issues with stacking space for plates, but worked well for around 12 months. Then issues with the motor started. A repair man came to look at it and said 'why would you buy Fisher and Paykel?' - should have been a sign! Just under three years old and the dishwasher now needs to be replaced because of a faulty wash motor.… Read more

It is no longer under warranty and will cost as much for the wash motor replacement as it will to purchase a new dishwasher! We are going with a new unit and won't buy Fisher and Paykel again. Don't buy

Looks good, poor quality – Decided to replace an old white dishwasher when renovating our kitchen. We have a Fisher & Paykel 522L fridge that's going strong after 10 years, we decided to go a dishwasher of the same brand. With very little use over almost 3 years the flood switch kept coming on. After speaking with several appliance techs, we were advised Fisher & Paykel now… Read more

Stops working after 3 years – Very disappointing, has never done a great job and was annoying that the tablets did not dissolve but for it to stop working after 3 years. What a waste of money. I will not buy a Fisher & Paykel appliance ever again. It was not cheap either!

Garbage – Worst dishwasher ever. This appliance has single handedly turned me away from ever purchasing anything from Fisher and Paykel ever again. This rubbish lasted less than a year before parts started breaking off. Then it kept having overflow problems. The final straw was when we found that the door seal was rotted. Disgraceful.

Great dishwasher – Our old LG's racks rusted through and the cost to replace them was prohibitive, so I decided to replace it. The Bosch made in Europe was a bit pricey, so after researching I managed to obtain this model (it is superseded I think).. I particularly liked the fact that It has a fan dryer, so your dishes do come out much drier. The racks are terrific,… Read more

you can split the lower cutler basket into two and there is a horizontal cutlery tray on the top as well. All my big plates fit and I like the time delay, so I can set it to go on during the night. Dishes come out really clean and sparkly. Wet dishes, if your mugs/glasses/cups have a deep concave bottom, there isn't a dishwasher alive that will deal with that, but this is way better than my old LG. I just stand those cups on a tea towel, before putting them in the cupboard. Everything else is totally dry. I got this for $599, which for a quality dishwasher with all the bells and whistles and good energy rating is a bargain. Its worth hunting for this model.

Dodgy dishwasher, choose something else! – I've has this dishwasher 6 months. It costs about $700. I think I was sold a lemon from the start. Easy fix I suppose, but so much for quality control. Other… Read more

issues I have with this dishwasher: the bottom dish rack comes off its runners and is hard to push back in- terrible design and hard to deal with when the rack is full of dishes. Also be aware of the size of your dinner plates, this stupid dishwasher only takes ones that are small on the lower rack without hitting the water spinner thing on the upper rack.

This dishwasher is also not user friendly when it comes to choosing a wash setting, takes some fiddling with at times.

I would not buy this dishwasher again, I have an extended warranty on it, so at least if it keeps having any issues I'm covered, I feel that it's terribly designed and my experience has put me off this brand.

Annoyed !!! – The tray that you put you plates and dishes in the bottom, when pulled out and stacked. As you go to push it back in the side wheels never run along the track on the side, so you have to pick the tray up and push it back in. Never buy a f&p again.

Read These Reviews, bought a DW60CCX1, Good as Gold – Our F&P Nautilus died after 12 years of very faithful service. We checked LG, Dishlex, Bosch, and other similar dishwashers and after an exhausting search, decided to stood by the F&P. Bottom line? F&P Nautilus performed better than expected (every other day for 12 years! F&P comes with 2 year warranty (bought mine for $590) thats $5.67 a week… Read more

over 2 years, so if I've made a mistake, its one I can probably live with.

Noise - I read the reviews below, all I can say its its MUCH quieter than the poor old Nautilus (if you only have one dishwasher you get used to it) If Bosch's are quieter, that's ok, the DW60CCX1 is just fine by us. All I can detect is a slight hummmm

Fit - its slightly larger than the Nautilus, but just made it ok

Instructions - Easy, don't be afraid of the LED screen, at the end of the day its basic once you take the time to understand it. In anycase it has a "reset to factory" option if you happen to make a big mistake, overall its "tick" for yes and a "x" for no, just like a TV these days.

Cutlery Tray - its not a dedicated drawer like the more expensive options but its comes out when you pull out the top drawer out and this is bonus over the old one for us.

Overall, we're really happy with this one and recommend it, particularly if you've previously had a F&P, its definitely a leap forward in our humble opinion. 1) Its quieter than our last F&P dishwasher 2)Cutlery tray (its not a drawer) but just as good we think, 3) you can raise the height of the top tray even if you've already packed it Nil at this stage, although its slightly larger than our old F&P dishwasher, I assumed they'd be the same,

Does the job – Had this dishwasher installed to replace a broken Blanco. We originally wanted to get the DishDrawer model, but settled with this one over price. It washes all dishes well. rarely use the heavy wash cycle as normal does the job well.

Never had any issues with delicate items, where the old Blanco would chip or crack glasses quite commonly. All my glasses still look brand new and perfectly clear.

Stainless steel finish is not as good as other Fisher and Paykel products for cleaning. It's easy enough to keep looking good, but after a few water drips you'll never get it looking great without a fair bit of elbow grease.

It also scratches quite easily.

Most of my dishes come out really dry if I get them out when the cycle finishes, but they do get damp again if they sit for more than about 30mins.

Interface is super easy to use, and the little display makes is really obvious which wash settings I'm using.

The inside of the washer seems super resilient to smells and scraps. After over a year of use, I've only had to do a cleaning cycle once, and even then there was no noticeable smell. Cleans well, looks good, stays clean inside Stainless steel finish not the best quality

Noisy – I had a dw920 nautilis f&p dishwasher which lasted 10years so i decided to get another f&p. Although the DW60 looks good it is very noisy compared to my previous dishwasher. I would say the performance has gone down a level on the older model. It still does the job ok. looks flimsy design, plastic adjustable front legs which broke on installation.

dishwashing job. When unpacking the previous machine would nearly always have several items that needed to be done again. Six months now and only ONE bowl has come out with something still stuck to it. As well, the F&P fits way more in than the other machine.

Can't fault it so far – This was our first dishwasher purchase, and I was paranoid about getting one that had did not wash and dry the items properly. doesn't dry, but I don't think that is the fault of the machine.

It was fairly simple to install, and looks good, however be warned the stainless steel door skin is very soft - I put a dent in it at some point in the installation.

We use it 2-3 times a fortnight and have used it with the included Finish Quantum tablets and now Aldi tablets, both of which do a fine job and no rinse aid used. It's good to have all the different modes, but I have only used the automatic mode so far which has done the trick. Our load is some plates and bowls, cutlery, a few glasses and random things like spatulas and pizza cutters. Haven't tried any baked-on type dishes yet, but will find out soon once I finish this tuna bake. The cutlery rack at the top - it fills up quickly though. Would've liked a full cutlery drawer but they are only on top end machines. Nice looking machine and not too loud. Cleans and dries well. Don't breathe to heavily on the front or you'll warp it. The plastic door grab feels a little bit flimsy.

draw can be pulled up and down depending on what you might want to place on either top or bottom draws.

I can get probably double what I did in my last dishwasher into this one.

It's cleaned all my dishes well including my cast iron casserole dish that we use frequently.

The drying is fine too. I've noticed that there is a very slight "hum" on the dishwasher after it has finished and only stops once you open the door. You would have to be in the absolute still of the night to hear it though.

I am very happy with this dishwasher to date! reliable, inexpensive, energy efficient washing cycles go for quite a long time.
