Those washers are rubbish. We tried to use one for 3 years. We dumped it and got a Bosch. We love our Bosch. Get rid of the one touch that will fix your problem

I just bought a Fisher & Paykel two-drawer dishwasher (DD24DCTX9N) (Dishdrawer Dishwasher), and it chips all my glassware. I have had this glassware--which is sturdy glass--for years and years, and now I have almost no glasses left. Why is this happening?

What year was this make of machine made?

Just moved houses and after 5 days i realized that this dishwasher is either not working properly or it's just a lousy machine. After it's finished we still need to wash most of dishes manually. It seems that it's not using the hot water at all. We use liquid detergent, should we try with tablets or powder? Does it make any difference?

Didn’t make a difference for me. It was a terrible machine from day 1!

Hi Duka It should use its own heating element.... the machine heats the water itself. If yours isn't doing that then I'd call a technician to have a look. I'd run the machine and open it towards the end of the wash cycle ( before rinse) to see how hot the water is. You must remember this machine works with a sensor. It analyses the level of dirt and sets its own program of wash. If you're like me and rinse dishes before stacking, you'd find that only a quick cycle is programmed. Having said that, I've tried not rinsing and even adding coffee in just to trigger the heavy was but it all looks the same to me. As far as detergent goes, I find the best is Fairy Platinum. I get clean dishes all the time. Save the liquid for crystal, good China and classes. You can use a tablet to clean your dishwasher too (on empty of course). The machine itself isn't the best due to its automated sensor and not being able to control wash settings but I find by using Fairy Platinum it's doing an ok job. Hope this help, best of luck.

My dishwasher screen is saying " pls call service"...what does this mean?....cause it won't work....or start

Josie

Hi Nicky, your dishwasher may have taken in excessive water for some reason. Or, check the fan heat drying system located top back on right hand side and bottom left. Sometimes they get loose, so I usually very gently, without removing it, give it a twist to tighten it. I make sure I tighten it after each load as it can stop half way through a wash. Hope this helps

To remove the filters 1 Remove the lower basket from the dishwasher. 2 Twist the filter cylinder anticlockwise to unlock the bayonet mechanism and pull it up and out . 3 Remove the main filter plate,

4 Press on the two tongues at the top of the cylinder and remove the coarse filter from the micromesh filter.

5 Clean all three filters thoroughly under running water. Use a brush if necessary.

6 Replace the main filter plate.

7 Reassemble the filter cylinder and place it back into the hole in the main filter plate. Twist clockwise until it clicks into place and the arrows on the cylinder and the main filter plate align.

Please refer to Page 27 of your Use and Care guide for diagrams

There is only the one that I know of. Sounds like a faulty sensor.

Hi Trisha

I have never seen that display on my dishwasher. There is only one filter that I can see. Now I'm curious as to why my dishwasher doesn't display that. I'm convinced they are faulty. Chech with Fisher & Paykel.

The water is not heating in my DW60dox so dishes are washing in cold water and there is no heat or steam for drying, when the cycle has finished the dishes are cold and wet, there is rinse aid in the machine, filters are clean, why is it not heating and how can I fix it?

Josie
Josie

Hi Chel, Have you tried contacting Fisher & Paykel? If you're machine is new, it may be faulty. If it's old, it may need a service or possibly repair. In any case, it shouldn't be cold. My dishwasher is 7 or 8 years old. Although still working, I've struggled to clean it as it has an auto sensor. Can't programme a particular cycle of wash when empty. To clean a dishwasher, you need high temperature, but an empty dishwasher automatically goes to quick wash or low temperature.

See if it's worth getting yours fixed or, just get a new one. Can't wait to get myself a new one. Not sure if this helps... best of luck

Fisher & Paykel DW60DOX1 Product Code 80751 Prompt says: Clean the filter. Problem, 3 filters are clean the the dishwasher is not draining properly. Any advice please?

Is there a way to clean the auto sensor dishwasher without having to use the Finish dishwasher cleaner? The machine mustn't detect dirt, as its empty, therefore activates the quick wash cycle. It's no where hot enough to melt the seal on the Finish bottle. It remains intact at the end of the wash.

I understand that the dishwasher samples the water to determine the cycle. If that is the case, then I don't know what sensor needs washing. You should contact F&P for a technnically correct answer.

So, you want to clean your dishwasher, is that right? You're not asking about the dishwasher doing the dishes...you want to know how to clean the actual "cleaning machine" itself? Just want to be sure I am understanding correctly.

If you do not want to use the Finish dishwasher cleaner product (or can't use it due to water temp) then there is always the old fashioned way...

You can take out the spinning bits (but I personally, would hesitate to do this as I'd likely break something). I regularly clean out the filters down the bottom as it gets revolting. Considering you're not meant to rinse your dishes first with this particular dishwasher, it can get pretty awful down there - which then affects future dishwashing.

Clean seals with toothbrush (be careful not to get too carried away). There is also likely to be a large buildup of gunk in the very bottom of the machine, but I don't know how to get to that part without really pulling things apart - and if you want to do that, I suggest you take the advice of the previous man who responded & call F&P for further information. Best of luck.
