Do not buy this cooker – The cooktop is very dissappointing as the burners do not easily or consistently stay on. Initially the problem was limited to the double wok burner but now the front right burner is refusing to stay on. Show details

Very disappointed – Very disappointed with this expensive item bought in August 2019 from The Good Guys. Have always thought F & P were a brand I could trust, and they have been in the past. I notice this oven is no longer even offered on their site now... The main issue is the cooktop. The burners constantly go out after lighting until they have "heated up" at… Read more

which point they eventually stay on. Currently the central burner igniter has ceased to work, and this has been a recurring problem too. We have had a serviceman come out multiple times to adjust the flow and even change all the burners. They then work for a few weeks until the same problem recurs. According to him this is not an uncommon issue, and his opinion is that the large burners are all "wok" burners, which need more airflow around them! The bottom of flat pots (like almost every pot used by almost every cook) seems too close to the burners to me, due to the metal trivets not being high enough, but what do I know? His solution: Use round bottom pots! Seriously? The two large burners are at the front too, which is why they are more convenient to use, even if you don't actually need that amount of heat. Shortly after installation, the oven light also went out, and that had to be replaced too. When the technician came to check it, the wires at the back had actually melted together due to initial faulty installation, so we had to wait for that part to be ordered and replaced too!

The oven is large and has worked well so far, to be fair.

Many phone calls have been made to F&P requesting them to come and take away this lemon and replace it, and their response was to paraphrase "Nah, we'll just keep sending the service guy out to fix it every time you complain, essentially until you give up or the warranty gives up".

Seriously considering giving up and replacing this thing with something else, but have no faith in so-called good brands these days.

Very disappointed – This oven has had a fault in the gas cook top since new and while F & P acknowledge it needs fixing 6 months later Im still waiting. I bought this to replace an Emilio that had lasted 20 years and I didnt want to go bottom of the range again so paying $3500 I expected to be buying quality. I tossed up between the SMEG and Fisher paykell. Wish Id… Read more

bought the Smeg. The glass door is difficult to clean, the hotplates are difficult to clean ( need a vacuum cleaner to clean down to the base.)If you hang a tea towel on the top rail all the dials to operate stove and hotplates are covered up.

Not too bad - but not great – Oven cooks a bit unevenly even with fan force. Stovetop cookers don’t gently simmer - burners annoyingly hot even lowest setting! Needed repair first week as central burner spring too stiff. Show details

Great oven! – Had this oven for 5 months now. Prior to purchasing this, we looked at several popular European brands but the F&P always won out on quality & features for the price. So far, we're very happy with it! The oven is very fast to reach temperature and seems to be well insulated. The storage drawer is handy. Having 3 large burners is better than a… Read more

single wok burner. By far the best feature is the Pizza function. When used with pizza stones, it's the next best thing to a wood fired oven -- 280 degrees and cooks a home-made pizza in 5 minutes. Our only concern is the way the functions and temperatures are printed on the surface of the oven dials - the part you touch. Not sure how the printing will stand up to long-term use. If you are considering this oven for an eat-in kitchen, just be aware that the case cooling fan runs for a long time after you turn the oven off (like many freestanding cookers).

Better than Ilve – This replaced my surprising lemon of an ilve oven. It looks good and functionality is excellent - gas lights quickly, and there are thoughtful touches such as the oven shelf that slides out so you can inspect without lifting out the whole tray. Storage tray is a drawer so its easy to access the back of it. Oven stays cool to touch, great for my… Read more

toddler. High quality, does what it says on the tin, and fantastic extras that make life easy. One suggestion, it doesnt need the handle at the top of the stove.

Amazing product. So happy with it – Cooks evenly the rapid proof function is great. So happy we went with the F&P stove.Just check your electrical connection tho. Had to have ours rewired to accommodate the bigger oven. Would not buy anything else. 13cm wider than my old 90cm oven. So happy i can cook 24 cupcakes on one shelf Show details
