VerifiedHi there, anyone that still has this. Had issues with cooling. Found out fridge is haier with silver doors put on. If you find the haier model, there is a pdf on how to open it. In our case a $50 fan motor fixed it for two years. Fisher and Paykel charge $300 a call out fee. So may want to see if fan is going and replace. Fridge could not put up with Xmas load and seems to have conked out again.
my RX628DX1 fridge just stopped, tested the power point and it works, its only 3 years old - any suggestions to at least work out why w/o paying $$ on a call out

Do you think i should change it for another make and model?
am looking forward to buying this fridge, but i am afraid it still has the freezer problem, should i go for it or should i look for something else? thanks
If you believe a technician has already gone out and fixed this and the other problems in all of these fridges which have been sitting in boxes in various warehouses.... Or perhaps in the factory the problem has filtered back and Harry Potter has fixed it.
I believe they wait for the client to ring them with the problem. That's why my 3 month old fridge is sitting idle and unplugged. Awaiting my second visit from an under-resourced technician system. Has this model been designed so the slide out drawers hit the door even when it is fully open (hopefully not!) or does this main my door is not opening as far as it should?

We just bought this fridge yesterday. We too cant open the crisper draws fully as it hits the fridge door even when fully opened.
Does anyone know if the icing up problem has been resolved? Thanks
I have replaced the unit.so no more contact with F&P
It appears to be a 'first lot out of the factory' issue that they discovered and sorted out. I have had mine replaced (March 2016) and it runs perfectly. I would have no concerns purchasing this model today.

I'm looking at getting a side by side. R, do you have an update of how your replacement fridge is going?
our new fridge started building up with ice straight away so i have left that second from top shelf half empty and it seems to keep it at bay. its not getting out of control but it is still an issue. i probably wouldnt recommend getting this fridge untimely they iron out these issues. if you do get it make sure you get extra warranty!
