I’ve been a loyal Fitbit user for almost 11 years and I’ve owned multiple devices. I’m now on my third Luxe in a few years. Yet again, within 12 months the battery failed and I had to return it. I was given two options: wait for a replacement or buy a new device myself and get a refund once they received the faulty one. I chose to buy a new one… Read more
because I didn’t want to be without it. This all started in early August and the service since then has been awful. I still haven’t received my refund — more than three months later. Fitbit only refunds through a Payoneer account, which you have to set up first. Setting that up was painful and took a lot of back-and-forth, but even after sorting it out, the refund never came. I’ve had over 45 emails with Fitbit and Google support and I’ve never experienced anything like this. No accountability, no urgency, and no resolution. Beware !!
Whenever we travel the Fitbit Luxe does not sync. Travelling from the East Coast to the West Coast it took almost one week for the Fitbit to sync to the local time. Travelling from Queensland to NSW during Daylight Savings the Fitbit did not sync to the local time until 3 days. Travelling from Queensland to NSW during non-Daylight Savings the… Read more
Fitbit stopped working altogether. This is the by far the worst Fitbit that I have owned, and I have had three now!
Device stopped working, Google store is useless at any cutomer service – Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM GOOGLE STORE. This product stopped working about 2 months after purchase which is not great but OK..it can happen....I was going to get it replaced but it is so difficult with the online Google store!!! Even though they own fitbit you can't talk to google about a replacement you have to go through a seperate… Read more
fitbit team who completely ignored my request. I have decided to get a refund just because it has been such a frustrating experience...still haven't received any formal communication (other than online chats telling me to contact someone else). I'm so disappointed. For reference, after 2 months the device stopped responding to finger taps, wouldn't charge and when I did get finally get it to charge it lasted only 5 hours and the screen was a weird colour...like I said I would be ok with getting a replacement but It's been so difficult to get anything out of google now I just want a refund and to forget about this CRAPPY DEVICE!!! Oh, to use the device properly you also have to pay yearly for an app...no thanks!
Killed the battery life in the luxe and charge 5 won't help you fix because they've released the 6 – Google bombed fitbit. Will never buy another one and good luck with the customer service Show details
Happy with my luxe purchase – I am happy with my luxe fitness tracker. The colour is a nice soft beige even though the box says white. It looks delicate on my wrist and not chunky like other watches do. It has helped me keep track of my sleep patterns. Its really helpful to know how much light, deep and Rem sleep I have had during the night. I have yet to try the 6 months… Read more
premium subscription that it comes with. I am sure it will show me even more helpful statistics.
The alarm feature of it vibrating on my wrist was another reason why I bought it as I constantly sleep through my alarm as I am hearing impaired and do not hear a normal alarm go off. Its a gentle vibrate, i would of preferred a stronger vibration though. It tracks my daily steps and has made me more conscious to aim for 10,000 steps a day. The app is easy to use and I look at that more than the screen itself as it is quite small and hard to read. It holds its charge pretty good too. I charge it probably every 5 days. This is my first tracker so I do not have anything else to compare it to but so far I am really liking it. Not sure about its other features like heart rate and oxygen levels as I am still learning.
Overall i found this as a good buy and an early entry into the world of fitness trackers
The worst Fitbit device I've ever had – I've been using Fitbit devices for a very long time, since that first 'clip on' simplest version. Have gone through few of those over the years and honestly, loved every one of those until I ''ve got the Lux version. I've got that one because of its design like most people do and even bought Gorjana's bracelet. Anyway. soon after I received it,… Read more
the screen has disappeared. It was just turning either red or green , there was no way to see the clock or anything else. I called Fitbit support who are I must say AMAZING. They have sent me a replacement which within 2 weeks 'died'. It was showing low battery and after charging it, as soon as I would disconnect the charger when it was apparently fully charged, the battery would drop to 1%. After calling a help desk again, I gave up and reverted to the one with no screen. That did not last long either so I am now back to my old Inspire HR. What a waste of money, more than $300 for Fitbit Lux and the barcelet neither of which I can use.
