The gist of my experience is – Friendly front man. John La Mala. Never a problem. Always available to talk.

Avoid at all costs – If I could offer zero stars, then I certainly would. Thoroughly unprofessional in every possible way. Avoid at all costs. The 'cheap' costs are indicative of the level of service and professionalism.

Disgraceful – Requires independent review for malpractice and incompetence. You have been warned. Look else where

8 years with them . Terrific team there – Rented from 5dock realty for many years. They are subject to land lord decisions as well.If a tight land lord does not want to spend money you cannot blame the real estate.

horrible strata – Expensive and don't get the work done, lack of communication, sign himself up for 3 years extension contract without everyone knowing what was he signing, taking advantage of owner who need some language support.

Avoid 5D / 5 Dock realty (John La Mela) – Poorly run, missing votes, missing instructions, and cost is expensive in comparison. The owner/operator (John La Mela) seems more interested in playing politics and speaking on top of everyone rather than letting the owners contribute equally and run things efficiently. alliances and put neighbours against each other - very strange! He'll speak over people, and tell people to shut up, yet can't run the basics of a strata management company - we found out things weren't even compliant!

Really strange strata company, and do not get him involved or you'll never get rid of him and your property will suffer both financially and structurally...

BEWARE – BEWARE Would not recommend Five Dock Realty under any circumstances. Our experience with them, for over 10 years, has been substandard and has led to the deterioration of our property. Failed to meet the OC’s basic expectations. After a much-protracted process, we finally managed to remove them as our strata management. Doesn’t deserve a star rating.

Go elsewhere if you want service and value – Five Dock Realty is a one-man-band with not enough skilfull staff, and dishonest practices. Our Owners Corporation found service to be poor, charges were made up on-the-go, with no regard for current strata laws or proper accounting practices. We are glad to have finally severed this relationship.
