Disappointing scam – The toothbrush and the replacement heads are extremely overpriced for what they are. The cleaning result was underwhelming (as all bristles have the exact same length and are grouped very densely, the toothbrush fails to get into the spaces between teeths) and so was the toothbrush’s longevity: it died after about two and a half years: the… Read more

lithium iron battery does no longer hold any charge. After disassembling the toothbrush it became clear that the price does not reflect the quality: A custom silicone cover is glued over a plastic casing, which contains a 1 USD battery (SEL 102050, 3.7 v & 3.7 Wh), a custom logic board with integrated charging port & status led for (est. cost) 2 USD and an ultrasonic motor for 5-10 usd. Mass produced in Asia, the total cost per unit would be less than 5 usd.

There is no clever design or expensive engineering here that would warrant or explain the higher price point. The assembly is glued together, making repairs very difficult.

The top end of the tooth brush body is made from silicone as well, water ingress between the body and head leads to very disgusting deterioration of the silicone over time. (See image) this can only be avoided with additional drying/cleaning after each use. Alternatively, the manufacturer could have spend 1 more dollar and decided to add a plastic or metal cover…

I do think that the unreasonable high sales price is in no way justified by the quality of the toothbrush. Hence, the title.

Faulty product? – Purchased this toothbrush for my daughter and at first it worked well. The smiley face was helping her ensure she was brushing regularly for the recommended time. Her younger siblings all wanted one. It was working well for a whole month when it ran out of charge. I charged it overnight and found in the morning it still would not turn on. I then… Read more

charge it for a couple days checking every 12 hours if it was working and it still would not turn on. I have now given up and am no longer considering buying for the other 3 children, I won't waste my money. I also noticed a couple of the bristles had fallen off.

Worst toothbrush I have ever used – I bought the Foreo Issa Mini because the Foreo website advertised it as suited for adults who prefer a smaller brush head. I’ve used it for 48 hours, after carefully reviewing the online instructions, but at best my teeth have only felt 50% clean. Extremely disappointed given the price.  Show details

Foreo Issa 2. Just over a month and its broken – This toothbrush didnt serve long... over a month and its already has it own life - doesnt turn off when i want, doesnt turn on, increases the speed by itself... And on top of all of that Foreo doesnt want to pay for the shipping to exchange this faulty one to a new one. Premium priced product with substandard customer service.... How, really, they… Read more

sell toothbrush (!!!) for $200+ and do not want to cover $8 for shipping. I spend too much on it already and i want one that does its job.

Do Not Waste your MONEY! – Purchased from Kogan. Lasted for 3 weeks. I emailed the issue. They did not tell me to send back we will refund you, they wanted proof, of me videotaping it not going?? So stupid. My video on my phone doesn’t even work. Brush is small and centre bristles were mushed within 2 weeks. This product does not last, ridiculously expensive for what you get. The little face cleaner was the same! Show details

One star for looks – Onto my second replacement in six months. An expensive, crappy product. It foes the last as long as they advertise fully charged. First one just stopped charging and turning on, second the head just continues to fall off whilst brushing. Stick to the popular dental brands in the future. Show details

So gentle that it broke! – It’s just broke! I brush my teeth pretty gently and just press a bit when I clean my tongue but this toothbrush is so gentle so it can’t withstand the pressure Show details

Not worth the hype – Stopped charging after 6 months. Teeth started to feel furry also. We were drawn to this because it made sense that it would hold less bacteria than a regular tooth brush but teeth did not feel clean after long term use Show details

Lousy product and customer service – Check if your Foreo product is covered by warranty. I bought an Issa Play toothbrush and turns out it was not covered by warranty. I had it for less than 2 months and it broke down. Foreo CustomerCare was completely unhelpful. Best to buy an electronic toothbrush from a proper oral care brand in future! Show details

Honestly just go for a normal electric toothbrush – It is made out of silicone so it'll be really gentle....I felt like it was far too gentle like I felt like it did nothing in terms of leaning. I liked the fact that it was silicone because it looks so sleek, feels amazing and can be kept clean easily. It's nice to store due to its shape and apparently one charge can last a whole year (haven't tested that yet).

Poor customer service - expensive product that breaks – I ordered one of these and within a week it was broken and didn't work anymore despite inserting new batteries. Customer service are slow to respond and said they don't usually issue replacements but that they would. They then wanted me to dismantle the product and send them a video. This means I wouldn't be using it at all so they'd expect me… Read more

to buy a new one. It's been over a month of back and forth. I haven't heard from them for 5 days and still no replacement...

Advertising of product is not truthful and customer service is horrendous – I bought the Foreo Issa Toothbrush in a pack with additional attachments including a tongue cleaner which is considerably more expensive that the toothbrush on its own. After having some issues and almost injuring myself in changing between the brush and tongue cleaner heads as it was so difficult I contacted foreo to ask them if there was some… Read more

trick I was missing in swapping out the attachments. Their response was the attachments where only supposed to be changed once very 6 months and it was not recommended to change attachment heads on a daily basis.

I questioned foreo as to why then sell it as a pack and advertise changing of the attachments as part of an easy daily oral care routine. If the attachments can't be used as intended and advertised then this means it is not fit for purpose and the functionality is drastically reduced. As such I reasonable requested a partial refund.

Foreo have been unable to answer my question or willing to negotiate on a partial refund. I have also tried communicating through catch of the day as the point of sale who have been equally as frustrating.

The toothbrush itself is ok bu it isn't worth anywhere near its RRP. It also states that you can get up to a year between charges which is absolutely further false advertising and rubbish. I've had mine a couple of months and its already needed to be charged twice.

I had a similar experience where it took weeks to get a refund on a faulty luna cleanser I bought as a gift for a family member. It was a pretty embarrassing experience and I actually had to replace the expensive gift with another brand while I got the refund sorted out. Foreo customer service is at its best non existent and getting a response is actually worse - representatives are rude and condescending and trust me their arrogance on what are in fact not innovative or even fit for purpose products is not warranted.

When you are being sold expensive innovative products what you expect is an expensive innovated product and if it fails outstanding and respectful customer service. You will get neither with Foreo. 2 products. 2 absolute fails.

Don't assume the first experience is a one off and you got unlucky, their business model is to sell crap and look down their nose at customers. Never again.

Not haappy – I also got this last year from my great uncle as a Christmas present when he came down from Queensland of last year and was surprised he bought me a tooth brush for a Christmas present for one I thought what is he trying to tell me my teeth are bad and if at least he was going to buy me one then he should of at least bought me a dam good one coz I… Read more

wasn’t happy at all with the over all performances on this product as I think I do a better job myself using my own hand held tooth brush and brushing my teeth with that so yeah threw it in the draw

Worse Product Ever – I had replacements twice in a year, because the metal inside the brush was broker. The metal they used to hold the brushhead is so soft, I doubt it can last for more than a year. The head is so big and can't reach to the last teeth and also the it can't really clean the gaps between the teeth. I believe it is good for the gum as the silicon is… Read more

definitely softer than the normal brush. I think that is the only advantage and also the colourful and fancy design.

Missed it by THAT much! – Whilst definitely the sexiest looking toothbrush on the market, the Issa toothbrush by Foreo needs just one more design tweak - a head which curves backwards (concave?) rather than curving forward. The problem is one of simple geometry - the curved head makes it impossible to match the contours of the inside of your teeth. Cleaning the outside… Read more

of the teeth is fine but despite my best contortions I just can't get no satisfaction when attempting to clean the insides. In the end I have resorted to holding the brush vertical and using just the tip to do the job, but this gets increasingly difficult the further towards the back you go. Another approach was to simply apply more pressure to force the (very) flexible head to be 'flat' against the teeth. However, this has damaged the unit such that the head now 'wobbles' atop the spindle whereas it was lovely and snug when new out of the box. I have contacted the store who have no qualms about issuing a full refund or replacement. The fact that I will choose the replacement option shows that, for me, the pros outweigh the cons. I guess I'll just have to be more gentle with the next brush, and pray that Mr Foreo reads this review and comes out with a revolutionary concave head in the not too distant future.
