Excellent – Had a great experience with this company when I called them regarding a problem with my boiler for my underfloor heating. Prior to calling them, I unfortunately engaged another company who after $800 spent, said I needed to spend another $3,200 fixing the problem. Graham fixed the problem with a $97 part (plus $250 call out fee). The heating works beautifully.
Beware not to be trusted – This company had no interest in repairing or servicing our unit, all they wanted was to replace it with a new unit. All we wanted was to have the units inside to be bleed to maximise the heat, they found one of the valves was faulty, still waiting for them to come back. The two people (wouldn’t call them tradespeople as they had no idea what they… Read more
were doing) were clueless, it’s as though they were there to fill spaces. Really disappointed do not use this company.
Tecnically competent but wouldn't honour warranty – They sold me a hydronic boiler with a 5-year warranty. Just after 3 years the pump failed. As he was replacing the pump (just the electrical/electronics part failed, the mechanical part was still fine), the technician told me that it was a known fault with that model. I had forgotten the length of the warranty and paid for the repair as I needed… Read more
the heating back on for my elderly relative. When I checked the paperwork and realised it was a 5-year warranty, they refused to refund the $1095 I had paid for the pump replacement. They sais that a "magnetic filter" needed to have been fitted for the warranty to be valid. Well, THEY INSTALLED IT, so if that filter was needed for the warranty, maybe they should have told me, put that condition in the written quote, and fitted it when they put the boiler in. (Between installing it and repairing it, they did change their name, but the ABN stayed the same: 52 993 676 782.) Anyway the filter in the pipe would not have protected the electronics that developed a fault, remember there was no mechanical problem with the pump when it was replaced. They claimed that it was a Bosch warranty so I should complain to Bosch, but the acted as a Bosch dealer / agent when they sold the boiler and installed it, so they ought to have submitted the warranty claim in that case.
They seemed to be technically competent, but given my experience I would suggest you don't place much value on any warranty they offer, and get in writing whether each specific fault you can think of is covered under warranty, for the specific installation they are doing, and get in writing whether the installation they are doing meets the requirements of their warranty, and still expect that you might not be treated fairly.
