Foxtel Broadband

Absolutely atrocious internet. I know Foxtel is just the reseller, but how they can justify their marketing campaigns with terms like "lightning-fast broadband" is beyond me. Whover owns or runs the actual infrastructure Foxtel resells needs to either spend the investment on upgrading or be put out of business. Dreadful speeds, CONSTANT dropouts,… Read more
buffering issues, and in some instances total outages that can last over an hour. I'm also in a major city too. I live in a small unit, so I thought trying a wi-fi extender might help. Nope., Made zero difference. In fact, I think it might have made it worse. It's simply unacceptable, especially for the staggering monthly price thery charge.
DO NOT USE this carrier as a broadband provider. my service has been out for over two weeks and they are no closer to resolving the issue. You cannot get assistance and they refuse to help. Absolutely not worth the stress, and they can't manage a basic fault. STAY AWAY!
What an absolute debacle dealing with Foxtel, trying to get the NBN Internet connected to my house. Unprofessional, unreliable, no follow up, no customer service. It has been over 2 weeks since I applied, booked & confirmed technician appointment, waited all day, no show, no explanation, no communication from Foxtel. Several conversations with… Read more
different call centre staff & 3 different stories depending on who you talk to. Still no word as to if & when I'll ever get my Internet connected? Too stressful & unreasonable to deal with. I recommend you try another provider.

The worst customer service ever – The worst liars in a company. No internet service for 5 days and they can not fix it. Numerous phone calls and on chat line with no answer to why. They say it’s a technical issue and that’s it! The representatives just keep saying be patient but here’s a bill! I have now signed up to another provider. DO NOT go through FOXTEL FOR INTERNET. You… Read more
will regret it and waste your money and time! Have just found out that I had 2 accounts in my name, don’t know how! I say a representative from Foxtel stole my ID and set up another account for them and I was getting billed every fortnight! Very very Suss!
Overall excellent – My experience with FOXTEL getting a internet and TV bundle has been excellent, the internet has been reliable, I can understand people possibly having setup issues as due to COVID-19 as I did changing from Telstra to FOXTEL, which wasn’t FOXTEL fault it was Telstra blocking every attempt to change for over a month with no internet with Telstra… Read more
which is why I changed, Telstra told me for a while they’ve had no staff for moves team due to COVID-19 but anyway, my FOXTEL case manager was cool, she done everything she could as well as I did to try getting this internet service moved from Telstra to FOXTEL, anyway the point is once internet was transferred and setup, getting a FOXTEL Broadband NBN & TV bundle was worth it, I decided to go with Platinum Plus for TV, I received $30/month discount for first 12 months and my internet was discounted to $65/month and that’s ongoing, and included a free Netflix subscription, bonus! If you’ve been thinking in getting a internet and tv bundle from FOXTEL I recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.
There may have been one incident with customer service someone telling me wrong information about a $10/month IQ4 box charge which I knew wasn’t right but after speaking to someone else it was dealt with but overall customer service has been excellent, just like with the Telstra app you can pay your bill in the MyFoxtel app, I have provided a screenshot of a NBN speed test.

another 48 hours no faults extremely happy with service , staff and the whole process was fast and from 10 days all has been rectified they were in contact and updated me every 24 to 36 hours ...very happy with the whole process I switched from my last provider of 8 years as I have the 8k Samsung 85 inch tv and Foxtel had a deal on new wifi 6 modem IQ5 box and HD sport +movies total deal 149 a month picture is amazing and total price included free modem and IQ5 with the HD chanells so it suits my tv and Netflix HD alone is$22 a month so to get internet at 50mbps plus channels and free hardware $149 a month is worth it ...and for my trouble they are taking $6 a month off for 12 months ....thanks for the fast service I'm a very happy customer
Foxtel AX Modem – Performs well. Great signal 10 metres away. Works well out of box. I upgraded from AC 1600 hub that was mediocre but sufficient. Sep 2023 Update. Hasn't missed a beat. Really happy with Foxtel NBN. Upgraded to 100 plan. Rock solid. Much much much more reliable than my office Optus NBN.
Broke My Phone – My phone was working fine but then I went and connected and it just bricked my dang phone, I'm very upset and am current;y using a nokia burner phone cause I can't get a new apple. >:#

I have moved twice in last 2 years. Gave fox heaps of time for moving connection. Assured emphatically it would be no problems. Both times had huge issues. When you are speaking to operator in Philippines a language problem occurs which adds further frustrations and complicates the issue. Should be easy. Fox robs you of your time just sitting and… Read more
waiting for responses and you have to do all the leg work with buttons, modems , boxes , remotes and power points. Get better foxtel .....we are in 21st century.
Terrible service went to move house gave them 2 weeks notice, confirmed date took the day off and they couldn't even do something so simple, was on the phone with them for 6 hours issue wasn't resolved so cancelled with them,AVOID at all costs
WORST INTERNET PROVIDER. DO NOT SIGN UP – How can I put minus stars. Been with foxtel almost 10 years, subscribed to their internet 4 years ago. Nothing but unreliable connections since then. Each phone call the problem is resolved and within minutes the connection is lost again. Many technicians have visited and tell me I'm outside the service region for the connection. Yet Foxtel knew… Read more
this and still connected me. Fttp is now available at my address and foxtel tell me that they cannot upgrade me. DONT USE FOXTEL INTERNET. I've even emailed their CEO with no response surprise surprise. Not happy. Out of pocket. Worst experience EVER. looking for a new provider, I am an honest person and have given them too many chances. Spoke to them for the last time today, I demanded that my bill be reduced before I pay for it due to having ZERO access to internet for 8 WEEKS, they ended the conversation with no reply, literally just cut it off. DONE

Foxtel Broadband – I contacted Foxtel to move my broadband to my new address 8 days prior to moving. They sent me email same day saying I will receive an sms 2 days prior to connection date. That is the last contact I have had from foxtel. It is now 7 days at new premises with NO broadband. I have contacted foxtel on 5 separate occasions and each time I have not… Read more
received an answer other than a case manager will call you.. I am still waiting for that call ! The customer representatives do their best, but for some reason no one can tell me when I will have broadband.. yet I am still paying for my subscription! Absolutely terrible customer experience, and it really should not be this difficult in this day and age. Have complained to Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman. Update: broadband finally connected (almost 3 weeks later). The ombudsman definitely helped move things along. Communication with foxtel was frequent and I was now informed of each step in the process. So it's a good result now, just took too long.

Your service sucks – Your network access is crap it always drops out not worth the money I spent on access. Need to find another supplier/provider who has better reliability
The Worst Broadband NBN provider I have experienced – Not much more I can add to the 1 star reviews, I had Telstra & Optus then this load of cr.p Foxtel all useless, now going to Aussie Broadband not holding out for much better, but 5% better than those 3 got to be 90% improvement on my sanity. P.S. get rid of your overseas consultants (call centres) , I get better downloads if I try to connect with my gold fish [Content Removed]
Cuts out for no reason approx every hour and a half – Regularly cuts out I would change in a heartbeat if it were my internet, but it was so bad it didn't even feel worth it for free. Disconnects at least 4-5 times a day. Thank God I don't work from home.
Cant rate the internet yet as it's taking so long for it to be connected – Phone call number 3 this morning (Monday) to be told I will have to wait another 24 to 48 hours until it's connected. Was meant to be connected Friday night still not connected on Saturday and got told that they tried to connect it at 7pm on Friday but they had the wrong NTD number. No text or call to say their was an issue. Saturday was told I'd… Read more
have to wait another 48 hours. Called again today. They don't count Saturday and Sundays in the time frame. I had to upgrade my Foxtel boxes as my old ones were obsolete. Now I have no Foxtel no internet. Should of stayed with my old provider......will most likely go back to my old provider once my contract ends
Poor service – Got a line installed 5days ago for NBN. Was told would work in 30min. Been phoning everyday and just been told wait till 9pm. No updates no one can tell you what is going on. And had to phone 4 different people to get broadband cancelled. Still was not done. Quite pathetic to be honest.
No loyalty to long term customers – After being with Foxtel for 15 years for both TV and Broadband, I am moving in with my partner so am cancelling Foxtel. Unfortunatley my billing date was the day before I decided to cancel so I am still charged for a full month up front. I requested a 29 day refund but they would not consider it, reminding me that the fine print in the contract… Read more
says I have to pay up front - but then the sales consultant kept trying to offer me discounted rates if I transfer the Broadband to my partner's house. They can forget it. I may have even considered tranferring Foxtel if they had have given me the month credit - but if that's the way they treat me after 15 years, no way. Very disappointed - compelling me to write a review to warn others off Foxtel.
absolutely awful service – Hopeless service. Forgot to send modem. Then constant nonsense about service provision. Call centre somewhere abroad is helpful but useless. Utterly useless. Avoid.
The worst NBN provider, terrible support – Modem drops LAN frequently (has been replaced and still does it) Foxtel support attempt to tell you they won't offer any support unless you use their modem (even though FTTP does not need a modem and supplies either IPoE or PPPoE). They have outages and offer no answers even after several days. Bonus round, the stock Foxtel modem has port 7676… Read more
permanently open, it is a back door that allows them to access your LAN, NOT OK. Avoid this ISP at all cost.
Garbage – Do your self a favor, don't go near Foxtel. Garbage service even worse customer service, on the phone for hours to get the run around by people who can't speak English Avoid at all costs

Never ever again – DO NOT DO IT WITH FOXTEL NBN, the worst service from day dot, sales agent gave me different prices over the phone to what was emailed to me, received my equipment 2 weeks later and then wait for another 3 weeks for a so called connection that I'm still waiting for. I have rang them 100's of times and continue getting sent around to different… Read more
departments, with opening up new case numbers every day and getting no where. They even gave me a different home number to what i had asked them for, and are still charging me for foxtel service that isn't working due to I have iq5 box.
Do Not Get Foxtel NBN Broadband – Started off with Foxtel on ADSL with no worries. Then we had to move to NBN approx 2 years ago. Since then we have had constant outages. Working from home during covid our Zoom calls would simply drop out. Reconnect for a while and drop out again. Call Foxtel to be told there is nothing wrong and it's all working swimmingly from their end. Took a… Read more
multitude of speed tests and our average speed was 8/5mbps when we were paying for 50/20. Finally get a tech out to find out their install guy wired the splitter up wrong. Thought that would fix it but the drop-outs continued. Each time we would call Foxtel to be told it is still all hunky dory. We limped along like this for 6 months till finally they said we might need a range extender. So we get that and find the Wifi signal is stronger throughout the house but the drop-outs and strangled bandwidth continue. Several support calls and chats later they advise the hub/router is faulty and is the cause of the problem. Installed the new hub they sent but the drop-outs and slow average speeds continue. Accounts agree to giving us 6 months at half price as compensation which in fairness was something at least. And to this very day as I sit here organising to move to another NBN provider, the drop-outs and slow average speeds continue. I don't understand how it can just keep dropping out. It doesn't matter which device we use it will just drop out and suddenly the whole family disconnected. Guests come over, we let them connect then they suddenly get a drop out. I'm getting rid of Foxtel broadband and since they want us to move Foxtel TV to iQ5 and go back to receiving free-to-air channels from an aerial, they can say goodbye to me as a subscriber. I'll make other arrangements for both. Oh, if I could go lower than a 1 star rating, I would.
Do NOT use Foxtel for NBN! :( – After a no show for the first appointment with no communication from then.. we locked in a second date.. the tech showed up and installed the NBN box.. unfortunately it didn’t connect to the internet.. after he unsuccessfully waited to get through to Foxtel, he told me I should give them a call.. one week, 4 phone calls, one online chat and one… Read more
complaint to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman later and we’re still without internet, without any definitive date as to when we may be connected. I work from home so losing money daily, not to mention all my security cameras and smart lights and devices are not working.. I wish I had chosen another provider! :(
Incredibly poor service – There is no way I would ever recommend these guys for internet, didn't even get past the signing up stage, confirmation emails that were sent to me during signing up online didn't work, spoke to people on the website chat and they were extremely rude and not interested in helping at all, got handballed to about 3 different people who were all the… Read more
same so gave up and called them up. After being on the phone for 45mins being bounced around trying to sign up I get told they don't know what the issue is but someone would get back to me in the next 72 hours. Complete joke, obviously they are not interested in building this side of their business. Luckily I hadn't committed to a contract so just said not to worry about it. Worse service ever!
Terrible service – Took 8 weeks for installation and connection of my internet in my new home and having to contact them numerous times with a 48 hour wait for each return contact. Customer service was appalling and had multiple technician appointments where no one showed up.
NEVER EVER GET FOXTEL NBN!!! – - Since my contract began 6 months ago, I have had my NBN disconnected 3 times. - Each time I must fault check my modem, plug cables all of the house, wait on hold, be promised 48hr time frame that takes more than 1 week. - My NBN has been disconnected the same way each time, but never does Foxtel listen to the issue, they just follow the prompt.… Read more
- When I send an email reply, it bounces back because my 3 sentences are too large for the email to receive. - I ask to escalate, Foxtel says no. - I ask to speak to tech support in Australia, Foxtel says no.
Why must I wait 2 weeks every 2 months when my NBN is disconnected?
The most frustrating part is no one cares to fix the issue, just to read a screen prompt and get me off of the phone. I am quoted a 48hr wait each time. Usually I wait more than 1 week for a reply. I do not want to wait this long again. It has been 96 hours already.
Contact telecommunications Ombudsman 1800062058 – Let’s be clear FOXTEL NBN have heard all the complaints before. If you don’t have success call the TIO. Do not switch to Foxtel – We switched to gain the package at a new address. The streaming constantly buffering & they want an $65 per month to update the speed. Unfortunately we are locked in for 12 months.
A month and still no internet – Phone call after phone call...lies and promises from tech support. I have been with Foxtel for 12 years. I broke up with them today... I found someone new and haven't looked back
