Perfect for my twins – We have been using the Gaia soothing cream for a few weeks now and I love it! Boys previously had rash on face from specific wipes, I used the cream on their cheeks and it cleared up within the hour. Yes it comes out thick but once you put it on them and rub it in it goes into the skin really well plus it’s good to have a small layer on the top of… Read more

skin it’s like sun screen works best when not completely rubbed in! Definitely recommend we use it for everything.

Wonderful for Baby's Nappy Rash – Previous reviewers have commented that the cream is thick and therefore not ideal but I actually prefer that. My 8 month old baby had a bad case of nappy rash and was screaming after every nappy change. I applied a thick layer of this cream on his bottom after every nappy change and the rash is already clearing up after 2 days and he no longer… Read more

cries every time his bottom gets wiped. I got the cream in a tube which is handy to dispense I find. Having only all natural ingredients in the lotion with no nasty chemicals is also a plus for me. I have been using this on my kids for nearly 4 years and will continue to do so !

Wonderful – Forget baby, I use this on my skin, it is so soothing and I love how thick it is. I find that if I rub it between my hands it softens and goes on well. Have used it on my husband's bum and face since he came home from hospital with bad rash/dry skin and bed sores and it has worked so well. Very soothing. Very nourishing. I love it.

Soothing nappy rash cream – This product is amazing! It cleared my son's rash within hours. I too had a rash on my face and had been using steroid creams to help. After months it really didn't improve. So I decided to try my son's nappy rash lotion and hey presto, within hours it has cleared up to almost nothing. This product is a miracle cream :)

Gave baby terrible rash – Glad has been discontinued. Gave the baby very bad rash, and clumps of small blisters under the skin. At first I thought it was caused by something else, or perhaps her diet, but it happened on two different occasions, each time after stopping use of the product the blistering and rash went away.

Not good for my baby – I have a 2 weeks old baby. I had johnson's baby lotion but my friend suggested to use this as its organic. My baby got rash all over body, absolute rubbish. I chucked in the bin after using it for three days. Waste of money. And it is double the price of johnson's.

Love This Product – People complain that this is to thick but if you only use a small amount it rubs in very nicely! Our newborn had very dry skin and absolutely nothing was working. We used Gaia Skin Soothing Lotion on her dry skin and also on a small nappy rash and it all cleared up within a few hours! Totally impressed. We only use this for our daughters skin now.

GAIA Skin Soothing Lotion – Absolutely rubbish!! The cream is that think i can't smear onto my baby's skin properly and it's very sticky. I didn't find it soothe the skin, a $5 tube of Amolin did a better job than that. I'm very disappointed of what it charged and this is it. Same as the GAIA hair detangler spray, pay that much and it doesn't detangle hair.

Best nappy rash cream, and perfect extra dry skin lotion – I bought this cream in a gaia set while on holiday. In the long car trips even with frequent nappy changes our newborn started to get a slight red rash. So i started rubbing this cream with each nappy rash and after each bath. It had a nice smooth texture, was thick enough to show you where it is but then absorbs really quickly. The pinkness… Read more

stopped right away and she hasnt had any issues since. We now just apply it after a bath and find it amazing. thick, works well nothing

Beautiful, natural baby product – We have been using this lotion on our baby girl for about nine months and it is a very effective and gentle product. You only need to use a tiny amount after a nappy change and it has really nice, soft fragrance, but not an overpowering "fake" fragrance, as it is infused with lavender and other essential oils. It is a good barrier cream. This… Read more

product goes a long way if you use it sparingly and properly. :) Environmentally friendly, gentle and natural.

OK – I bought one of these a couple of years ago and still have it, we barely use it because of the incredibly thick texture. It is great for dry areas though, when my second baby was little he got dry patches on his cheeks and this really worked. Probably not as effective as some of the good barrier creams. An all natural product, good for dry feet… Read more

and small areas. Smells lovely just like all of Gaia's products. I agreed with what another reviewer said about it being too thick, you really have to rub it in unless you want to leave a film of it on your child. A bit greasy.

Bad – I won't be buying it again because of its thick texture I didn't enjoy using it and bub didn't enjoy me putting it on her because my rubbing had to be more forceful than with other products. Has the GAIA brand, natural product, not overpriced. It's really thick like sunscreen that you can't rub in, it doesn't glide nicely across bubs skin at all.

Good – This product is great for the nappy area and other small dry spots, not for large areas. Has a nice essential oil smell and is great for use on adults dry hands as a barrier cream. Great as a barrier cream, can use on face, trusted brand, convienient squeezy tube. Nothing that I can think of.

Good – When my son was born he had very very dry skin, I used this on him and it made all the difference - after 4 days of using it his skin was feeling alot better and was no longer looking dry. It is a natural product, so I didn't need to worry about my son having a reaction to any of the ingredients. Natural product, so don't need to worry about… Read more

nasty chemicals. Ease of mind using it on my newborns skin. A little pricey, there are other natural products on the market in this category which are a little bit cheaper.

Excellent – I bought this as I found it on sale so decided to give it a go. I normally can't stand the smell of lavender, but this is definatley the exception to the rule. It smell's beautiful on him! Also, when my bub was 4 months, he wound up with a horrible nappy rash. I lathered this on him before he went to bed, and it was all but cleared up by the next… Read more

morning, which to me, totally justified the cost. Will definatley keep buying this! Easy to use, smelled lovely, completely cured my 4 month old's nappy rash.

Excellent – If used after a bath it is most effective, and it just needs to be applied gently and the lotion will do its job and leave the skin soft and smooth. It has gotten rid of all my baby's nappy rashes and good for red skin. It is easy to use and soft on the skin. I use it to treat my baby's nappy rash and it works really well

Bad – So far this it the only product in the Gaia range that we have not been happy with. It is way too thick, is hard to rub into babys' body, is sticky and difficult to handle. It also appeared to have a negative affect on baby's skin - so we won't be using this again. IT is part of the Gaia range, so thought it would be good. Appears to have natural… Read more

ingredients. The price is a little dear. The packaging is terrible - so hard to get the cream out of it. THe use of non-natural preservatives and some of the ingredients.

Bad – Tried looking up some of the ingredients which were not plant based and they weren't natural so unsure about the percentage of natural in this after I bought it. Clear information about how much of a product is natural would be a good idea. A natural product. Hard to know how natural it really is.

Good – I got this lotion because my eldest baby has suffered extremely bad nappy rash and has very sensitive skin. After suing this product for every nappy change in 24 hours I noticed a considerable improvement of his irritated skin. It provides soothing calming relief and reduces the redness of rashes. I found it too be too expensive to use on a day… Read more

to day basis as a barrier cream so I only used it when a rash occurred. It definately alleviates the problem. I like it because it is soothing for red and inflamed skin. It smells great and is an organic product. I have found similar products that are not as expensive as this one.

Good – this was a nice moisturiser for baby. it did not irratate her skin like many others did. i liked the fact that it was organic. it came in a smaller size for travelling which was very handy. it was a nice rich moisturiser which was great when her skin began to get dryer. this lotion smelt absolutely beautiful - i often used a littel myself as a… Read more

handcream. a great product for baby and would make a nice gift I loved that it was all organic. did not seem to irritate my daughters skin. available from supermarkets and chemist. available in a number of sizes. it was quite expensive

Terrible – This lotion is way too thick. I wouldnt buy this product again and find the Gaia powder way better for any nappy rash issues. It smells nice- would suit a baby with very dry skin. I bought the whole gaia range and this is the worst product they make. Its very thick so you need a tiny dot of it, and it doesnt rub in well on babies skin so they are left looking a bit white.

Excellent – I love this product, we use it daily on my son and on myself. It soothes his rashes very quickly, and has been fantastic for use on my own irritations. It would be nice to see a cheaper simple barrier cream in this range, but because a little of this seems to last I don't mind using it as a plain barrier cream aswell as a treatment for rashes.… Read more

Soothes and Heals, is perfect for sensitive skin, can be used as a barrier cream as well as a treatment, smells gorgeous, Australian Product Not as moisturising as I expected - it is definately a treatment cream to soothe irritated skin or prevent nappy rash rather than a moituriser.

OK – This seem very thick to be called a lotion. I found it difficult to apply as it was almost as thick as zinc cream. It does smell lovely though and does sooth babies nappy rash almost immediately. However, used to often I found it can be quite drying. I would definitely avoid use on the face. Lovely smell. Immediately soothing Hard to apply Drying after time

Excellent – Excellent gift idea for new babies. I highly recommend any product in the Gaia baby range and the Skin soothing lotion is no exception. I find it soothes dry skin on my babies arms and legs and also in the nappy area. I do not use it on a full blown nappy rash only when it is a little red and it always does the job. Natural safe product… Read more

developed by a mother who knows what other mothers want for their babies. Like any product in the Gaia range it delivers what it claims to deliver and always produces the goods for us. The Gaia range can be a little expensive for some budgets but if you shop around you can find it on sale occassionally and some places are always cheaper than others.

Bad – Obviously I have had a bad experience with this product and wouldn't invest any money buying this product again. I think that this company is trying to make a good product and from the other review, seems like I have been the only one with a dodgy bottle. When I do get to the actual cream, it is a nice consistency-maybe a bit thick as the water… Read more

has separated-but easy to apply. I like the bottle, and the product looks like it is a good company. I was given the one with Lavender and calendula. There is no use-by-date, so I don't even know if this product is old. Maybe that is why the cream has separated? The bottle that I was given was not mixed well and for the first 5 applications water poured out all over me, my baby and the change table! There seemed to be pockets of water, then the product would come out, then water...very frustrating!

Excellent – I loved that it is natural and that it worked on my daughters cradle cap. I had used every other balm that you could think of. It also works well on stings or bites. It worked great on my daughters cradle cap. It smells nice. It's all natural so no harmful chemicals like other known brands It didn't work very well on my other daughters eczema. It… Read more

is a very thick white cream and doesn't spread too easily if you are wanting to use it as an all over body moisturiser.

OK – I'll keep it in my travel bag and use it up over short periods but I will use other products at home. Smells lovely. After using this for a few days I noticed dry patches on my baby's skin - I don't think the product caused them, it just didn't moisturise as well as other products had. The smell was really nice (mostly lavender) but I thought it was a bit too strong to use on my baby's face.

Bad – I bought this lotion at a baby expo because it was recommended by the stall holders for my daughters skin (she suffers from eczema). After using the product for several weeks I didn't notice much of a difference. It doesn't absorb well so the skin still feels dry. It also didn't help with the redness or itchiness. When you get about halfway… Read more

through the bottle it is almost impossible to squeeze the lotion out. It is not a bad product when used as a nappy lotion. Nice smell Doesn't absorb nicely into the skin. Didn't help my daughters eczema
