Reliable garden line equipment experience on the blade removed by itself from the pruner saw – Satisfaction with the Garden Line pruner battery operated for most of the work on tree branches. Show details
Broke down almost immediately and burnt two of my batteries – Completely useless tool that broke down and burnt my battery on my first usage. I got it exchanged for a new one but had to buy a new battery. Worked okay for three more uses before it broke down again and burnt the new battery as well! Tried to claim the warranty as it was within the 5 years (I'd only had it for about a year) but they had a… Read more
lengthy and tedious process to try and get a replacement (including shipping the entire saw interstate for them to 'assess'). Gave up as I didn't want to spend more time and money trying to get a replacement for a saw that was probably just going to break again and burn through yet another battery.
Aldi tools might be cheap, but definitely not worth the hassle. Already spent $120 on this (would be almost $150 if I shipped it over) so definitely not worth any perceived savings.
Bad blade included – Tried the saw on a small branch, it took a long time and jumped about. Realized the blade supplied had too small teeth. Went to the tool shop and got a Bosch S1531L Blade 240mm long with 7mm teeth. Now can cut a 40mm branch in about 30 seconds. Have even cut a 200mm branch, took about 4 minutes. Great Pruning Saw now. Ver handy tool to have – I have found the saw very handy ,have even cut carcasses down the backbone with once they have set overnight also pruned my grapevines with it and many other pruning jobs around the property
Battery issue – Saw works fine but there is problem with batteries. First one lasted 6 months second one just over 12 months. I won't be purchasing any more Aldi products as customer support poor.
Cuts Well – I have the Gardenline Pruning saw purchased from ALDIand it cuts very well. One of the best tools I have bought. I am halfway through cutting back branches on a 4 metre bottlebrush and the blade cuts fine. It only starts to bounce when the battery is going flat. The only issue I have is that the battery loses its power after about 1/2 hour but not a real problem.
Aldi Pruner - Does not do the job – In theory this looked like a useful garden tool for pruning. In practice it would not cut anything. The problem is that the blade just bounces on the branches rather than cutting into the branches. Does not matter whether they are 2 mm thick or 10mm thick. Very disappointing. Took it back next day for a refund and the Aldi staff person said that other pruners of this model had already been returned for the same reason.
