I guess you can't expect better from Gardenline. I've had two of their multi nozzle garden hose fittings and both ceased turning off when you release the handle after about 14 months. The spring release jambs open and they're built so you can't dissemble, clear or repair. Soaking in vinegar or CLR is a waste of time as well. Show details
Not even worth the price – The sprayer leaked where the brass nut screwed into the plastic body and broke away completely after less than 4 or 5 short uses, not repairable so yes it's junk. Show details
Absolute load of crap – Broke within 10 - 12 weeks, it has been used just 5 times, to wash our car! Now the trigger leaks water and will not shut the water off properly. Aldi will not replace it or refund us as I cant find the receipt but it was bought along with all our other shopping, and no, I didnt keep the receipt as I expected it to at least last the summer out. Avoid this load of crap and get yourself to Lidl, they sell something very similar Show details

It's just more of Aldi's disposable garbage just to make sales – Quite Angry about this - so bullet points we go. 1. TWO nozzles for $10 - yeah... they look OK. I need some and I will give these a go. 2. First problem - the couplings that connect into the hose, they pop out as soon as water is turned on, to the hose. (I replaced the coupling) It turns out that they are dimensionally very different to every… Read more
other hose makers product on the market and they just do not click and lock into the other fittings. It's the grey plastic connector in the photo. I used a decent brass one as a comparison.
2. The thumb based flow rate lever is very hard to move, and sort of needs twisting with pliers. The design is a flat tab and not an upright lever. This is purely rotten design.
3. The other bit is the trigger handle has snapped off the body. Now I am pretty careful and try not to walk on things, and I have no honest or clear recollection of standing on the hose fitting and breaking the lever off. That being said, I also hook the nozzle over rails / side of ute tray etc., to hang it there, and it may have been broken there.
BUT the plastic that the trigger handle mounts onto is so thin, that it may have even cracked and broken off, with normal use and pulling on the hose etc..
I think because the design is so poor, that it's just broken from pulling on the trigger...
It's a very brittle plastic, it's a VERY POOR design - it's just not strong enough, and it's very very thin - so who knows.
It really is like using two or three strands of Gladwrap as a tow rope - it's at that level of inadequate.
I am rather sick of Aldi's collectively selling cheap product that is clearly not fit for putpose, that is designed to make sales and just go almost straight to landfill.
They don't care enough to test their products prior to them purchasing it - and then dumping things that even the Chinese won't buy, onto the Australian market.
These triggered garden hose nozzles are just garbage.
AND ------- Hysterically Angry HERE.
After reading all the reviews here:
https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/gardenline-aldi-garden-spray-nozzle
Everyone else who has reviewed similar units to mine have ALL reported the exact same faults.
All of them.
Just beside myself.
Really tired of the management of Aldi selling products that empties cash from our pockets at the till, and then goes straight to landfill.
Pacific Nightmare – The condition of the book was fine, delivery was very good (got it within a week)- however I was extremely disappointed by the "Story line/Subject matter" - now this was a step outside of the authors usual type of books many of which I have read and loved but this was just a boring work of fiction and should have been not written - "Simon" stick with what you do best.
Utter junk from the get go - don’t bother – The middle nozzle vigorously leaked from the moment I switched it on. Manufacturing of this garbage should be illegal given it needs to be thrown straight in the bin. No stars.
RUBBISH – When I picked it up from aldi shop, the nozzle looked strong compared other plastic material. I used a few times ,fist time leaks and handle snapped next day. I prefer donate 10 bucks to charity and not buying a piece of crap. Now I have to drive 100km back and forth to the rubbish tip with this rubbish. Show details
watering nozzel – I only used it twice which after the trigger failed to stop the water I thought the metal construction was good but I presume the internal components failed to work
Poor product – This 8 Pattern Spray Nozzle is not functional. It leaks water from the seam around the spray head, which results in the user becoming very wet. Doesn't perform its intended function. Show details
Lasted. A couple of weeks – Used it before winter for a couple of weeks. Now when I went to use it again. Leaks out of top and will not build up pressure to spray will not buy again
Multiple units leak – Spray part leaks (within a week’s use), previous one developed a leak at the join. Will not get a third one, truly an example of you get what you pay for.
I have bought two and they leak – When they are working they are perfect, but they quickly leak and become an annoyance and waste allot of water. I can purposely make them fail, this is how. Use the nozzle normally, it's perfect! I use it inside a shed, it waters perfectly, then when you release the trigger it close off with absolutely no continuos drips. However, when I empty the… Read more
hose to move it, I empty the hose and I leave the nozzle in the open position. When I return from a few hours and place water in it and use it, it leaks. Note there no debri in the line.
I have had them replaced twice from local Aldi (no problems there). If don't remove the line pressure, it never fails and lasts for months, but if I take pressure out of the system and leave the valve open, it leaks on reuse. Again there is no debri in the line, I think it may be the quality of the seal and what happens to it in a relaxed state ( valve open, dry with no water pressure for a short period of time)
Waste of money – This is a solid item but sadly it is a unit that cannot be dismantled for repair. Within weeks the stream function didn't exist and then it jammed on the open full stream position, rendering the trigger useless - the on/off trigger being the usual reason such items like this are bought. For $9.99 there are much better ones out there - even from Woolies
Sadly not fit for purpose – Hi Readers, today's review is timely because the product is up for sale at Aldi again. The nozzle is fine when new but it's performance deteriorates quickly with use over time. The first issue is the spray pattern, the second and worst issue is the trigger failure. The third issue is it's non-serviceability. The unit currently lists for $9.99… Read more
which is very reasonable for a nozzle that would last for a couple years (which this didn't sadly). The best thing about it is it's solidly built and easy to operate. There is a large collet to adjust the spray pattern and the trigger has gradients so you can meter the water output from the nozzle. Regarding the spray pattern, the nozzle creates a poor straight stream compared to others I have and it's not predictable in it's pattern. The trigger unfortunately began jamming in the on position and would require full water pressure and tapping on a hard surface to release/stop. It's now permanently in the on position. It's not able to be dismantled or serviced to fix this issue. In summary, great concept, poor execution from Gardenline. I don't recommend the product.
