- Forerunner 245
Great sports watch below average instruction guide
I really like the quality and functionality of the Garmin device. I have had a few Polar products and generally they are a bit quirky, so it is great to find Garmin and it just works and the connectivity and syncing is hassle free, thank heavens! I find it a comfortable watch to wear, great functionality, great ability to customise to your needs. I do find that the manual is poorly written, hard to follow, lacks details and generally lets the product down. I am still finding month after buying functionality I didn't know that was there!

Great potential, poor execution
Bought this fitness wearable so I could download and listen to music/pods while out exercising (and leave the phone at home). Have had it for a couple of months now and, boy, is this thing frustrating. It started off well, having set up Garmin Connect and linked it to my Spotify account. Was able to download my pod playlists and listen on the go. Now, while it still sees the playlist, it either partially downloads the playlist or downloads nothing. Have deleted the playlists and tried starting again, but no joy. It will be going back from whence it came.

Great all rounder smart watch/sports tracker
Picking a sports watch or smart watch is hard these days with so many brands competing for your money.
So when this Garmin Forerunner 245 Music came up on sale for half price I looked into its specs and it rated well in reviews on youtube so I went and got one.
Pros. It's the perfect size for most people. Light and not bulky like so many other such devices are.
It plays all your music and streams music via the phone so its handy to have.
It gets the main messages on the display which is handy when on the run and no time to check the phone ...

Great watch extremely fragile
I really like this watch but after 4 days of use I noticed the glass had a crack right across the face, the only bump was brushing a wooden door frame as I walked past. Supposed to be gorilla glass more like baby chimpanzee, lucky I hadn't gone mountain biking. Off course not covered by warranty so no swimming, showering or any activity where the watch may get wet. Battery life for the first two recharges has been phenomenal 12 days with watch down to 9% each time. If it wasn't for the dodgy glass I would give it 5 stars but unfortunately its use is now limited, never had such a delicate watch. Extremely disappointed.
