No, it doesn’t.
what maps and able to be upgraded
Doesn't Garmin have much support? I noticed all the Navman queries were responded to by Navman support staff, whereas I don't see any Garmin staff responses to the Garmin queries. This is worrying.... may help me in deciding my next gps I think.
I recently updated my Garmin 42LM. Have both the Australian and New Zealand maps been updated?
I believe both countries are updated.
As far as I am aware Aus is updated, but the problem I previously reported has not been fixed in the latest update.
Where can I get a battery for my Garmin 65aLMT?
Sorry, I have no idea.
Can I buy maps for UK to download on my australia New Zealand Navi 67LMT?
I'm sorry I don't know.
how do you turn it on?
Along the top of the GPS, closer to the left side, there is a small button cut out of the case. It appears to be part of the case. I find it very hard to turn on and off but that is where it is. It is the same color as the GPS case. You have to hold it down just right in order for it to work. And don't be impatient. Hold it down until the device comes on. I hope this helps you. Constance
Does the nuvi40 has life time maps?
I'm sorry. I don't know the answer. My Garmin is 55 or 50 and has been discontinued. I have not bought another one. Mine was supposed to have lifetime maps. Here's the website address for Garmin product support in Australia: external link I hope it helps.
how do you connect windscreen suction mount to holder
I'm very sorry but I don't know the answer to this. I have my Garmin sitting on top of the dashboard. Constance

Sorry Graeme, I really don't know.
I'm trying to enter a destination in another town but it keeps telling me to put in correct address, I know I entered correct address. Any ideas?
Hi Carol, my wife is the GPS expert. I drive, she navigates me. She told me that on this model she tried first with the smart find mode by typing the entire address. If this didn't work, she tried to go by separate entries... like city, street, number, etc. In the case of a big city, eg Brisbane, at times the street is listed in adjacent suburb.
Thanks I did all that but it didn't work. But I'm stubborn & refuse to be beaten by technology, so I hooked it back up to the computer & it worked when I entered address after that. Go figure. Just hoping it behaves when we head to Melbourne, fingers crossed.
Can this gps have truck mode?
Sorry but I'm not sure what truck mode is.
I don't think so
Garmin dezl 7" 770LMT Trucking GPS I have the old one and it is great
Is there any update and traffic report?
All GPS units have about 3 or 4 map updates a year to download. The traffic reports come from the transport authority and inform you of accidents or road blocks which are ahead on your route, and are live in real time.
Does it accurately show your speed?
Yes. The speed shown is very accurate and calculated from several satellites.
Will it have sufficient capacity for me to load a US map?
If you bought the unit in Aus you'll get Aus & NZ based maps as part of the update deal & if you've used the unit for any period of time you'll have found out that the map updates are pretty average. Any other country in the world will cost a motzah to buy.
Both the 42 & 52 have a micro SD card slot (I've now got a US based 52) Buy a 2G micro SD from Aldi or wherever you get the best deal.
Go to external link & down load the appropriate country/area map you need. Select 'Generic Routable (new style)' & then the places you think you'll be going using the 'Enable manual tile selection' - click on the areas you want. Put in your email address & then follow the prompts.
Once you get the maps downloaded you unzip them, label them so you can understand what you're looking at & load them on to the micro SD & plug it into your unit.
These maps are updated almost monthly so are pretty damn good. Has pros & cons but infinitely better than the Garmin deal.
How do you find the CBD of a town when you don't know any streets or numbers?
Brian, To find a town I use the "Towns" option. From the main menu select "Where To?" option then press down arrow then select "Town" option. Press "Spell" then enter the town you want to navigate to. I have found that using the Town search option in most cases gets me to the town centre.
Hope this helps, sorry for the delayed response.
How much are Hawaii maps? Garmin website won't tell me. They seem to want you to already own a unit, plug it in and order before they tell you how much something is - not conducive to buying something when an extra cost is a (probably nasty) surprise.
No idea re Hawaii maps Kaluah, sorry but I'm in Aus. Maps and updates here were part of the deal at purchase.
Sorry, as previous answer, can't help as I'm also in Oz and got the same map and update deal with the purchase.
How do you turn turn on voice for speed limits?
Gary, I've got the 4LM. I didn't get a 'voice' for the speed limits I get a 'ping' alarm every time I entered a speed zone or near a speed camera area. Go to 'Settings>Proximity Points' The alert function is around here.
The vehicle indicated speed goes RED when you go over the nominated GPS speed & pings.
Hope that's what you were after.
Have several Garmin GPS in the Household and am considering taking the 40 on overseas vacation. Where/how do I put in the overseas maps for each country area. There seems to be a small slot but it is not the same as the card holders on the 660 or 765.
As far as know, the last time I updated, you have to use their software (supplied CD or downloaded) while your GPS with the micro SD or memory connected and follow the instruction.
Hope this helps.
