I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience following the purchase of the latest iPhone and Apple Watch Series 10 around two months ago from JB Hi-Fi. At the time of purchase, I followed the staff’s recommendation and also bought a cover for the Apple Watch. I take great care of my devices, and the watch has been well protected… Read more
throughout. Recently, when I removed the cover to change the watch band, I noticed that the watch skin had peeled off. There was no dust, sand, or external factors behind the cover that could have caused this issue.
I visited both JB Hi-Fi and the Apple Store (Penrith branch) to report the issue, accompanied by [Name Removed]. Unfortunately, both stores told me that since the damage is considered "cosmetic" it’s not covered under warranty, and I would need to pay for the repair or replacement myself. This was frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the short time I’ve had the watch.
I previously used Android and Samsung devices and made the switch to Apple based on the reputation for excellent customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has not lived up to those expectations.
Now I’m left with a brand-new Apple Watch, just two months old, showing damage that I did not cause and that neither Apple nor JB Hi-Fi is willing to take responsibility for. This is not the level of quality or service I expected from Apple or its retail partners.
I upgraded to this watch in October 2024. It literally powered off and would not turn back on in January, 2025. I took it to Optus, where it was sent off under warranty and never even got a reason it stopped working. However, since day dot, I have had issues with the cellular connectivity. I pay extra for this service and my ENTIRE reason for… Read more
the upgrade is to do my running challenges without carrying a phone. I live and work in a 5G network, yet the cellular switch to my watch from the phone stops playing on the watch. Or, it simply won't connect at all. This is also inconvenient when I've left my phone behind while going for a walk. It'll switch over and play then stop streaming halfway through a workout away from my mobile.
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
WORST INVESTMENT THAT I'M BOUND BY CONTRACT TO WITH OPTUS.
And yes, even Optus and Apple can't work it out :-(
The best watch for your home – I purchased an Apple Watch Series 10 Silver Aluminium State Milanese Loop 42MM GPS so I can text and talk with this using my Mobile Phone and track my steps and monitor my heart rate. It also chargers much faster and the battery last way longer than the Apple Watch Series 7. Show details
Apple Watch – As much as i love Apple products my Husband and i have recently bought new Apple Watches and we were amazed that they only had 1 watch band, the store was obviously not aware of this and we both ended up with a small watch band. That was fine for me but we then had to scramble to find a band to fit my husband. I got one from Amazon but they too… Read more
sent one that was too small and not what i ordered but lucky it only just fit…It would have been nice if we were made aware that the new Apple Watch only has 1 watch band…I have bought SOOOOO many Apple products and am really very disappointed about Apple being cheap about the watch bands that comes with these VERY expensive watches.
Unmatched UX and amazing build quality – I didn't want to like the Apple Watch. It seemed pretentious and too expensive. I had a Garmin that was fantastic and I preferred the round face shape. However, after receiving an Apple Watch 10 as a gift I'm converted. The integration with other Apple products is seamless. I love the way it automatically unlocks my Mac and works together with… Read more
the iPhone. The interface is intuitive and consistent with the Apple aesthetic. It's comfortable to wear and the display is responsive to touch and stunning to look at. The on screen keyboard is tiny, but surprisingly accurate and functional when writing short messages. I haven't given it a real workout in the gym yet, but so far the fitness and activity tracking seems on par with the Garmin but easier to access and manage. I was concerned about battery life initially but in reality I get through a full day and it's not even close to flat. I'm writing this at about 4pm after wearing the Apple Watch for about 10 hours and it's still on 75% battery. Charging is fast anyway. My only complaint is Siri. In a world of ChatGPT and ever improving AI, Siri is very dated. Hopefully Apple's upcoming AI updates will address that. I still think Apple is overpriced but the Watch is a very slick device.
