Gasmate Burner Stove Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi, I have a CS1305D 3 burner cooker. One burner is not working very well and I presume needs to be removed and cleaned. The cooker has a stainless spill tray that cannot be removed while the burners are still in. There are wires going to the lighters on each burner. I am not sure how to remove the ignition wires without wrecking the ignitor.
Can u buy a replacement pan for the gas mate butane stove with cooking pan?
Purchased a Gasmate Model 1305 three burner stove from local Op Shop. Looks pretty much in pristine condition. Possibly unused. Does not have a hose. Where & what hose do I need to buy?
Try calling Gasmate on 1300 174 876 to get a part number for hose. If a suitable hose is still manufactured, places like Bunnings have a good range. My experience with an "older" Gasmate stove was that the correct hose was no longer available but I was able to remove the gas hose fitting (silver soldered) and machine it to fit a currently available hose.---- hardly worth the time and effort.
Hi Big Kev, the hose to suit this model stove can be found at Bunnings. The model is GM40419. Please make sure you leak test the connections with soapy water before igniting it though to ensure here are no gas leaks.
Thankyou Peter & Gasmate. Very helpful answers to my query.
I have been using Gasmate two burner stoves for the past 10 years. However, my last 5 purchases have been problematic. I replaced one without returning it and had 3 exchanged and now the fifth which I purchased about 3/4 weeks ago is presenting with the same problem - the gas seems to leak out when I’ve been cooking on it about 2 - 3 minutes causing a minor explosion and then fire issuing from where the can connects to the ignition. This has happened with the last 3 purchases over a period of less than a few months. The other problems have been the lever not staying down when trying to switch on the gas stove. It would seem there is a problem with quality control?

I have had several 2 burner gasmates. Always after about 12 months the second burner furthest from the gas inlet stops working. Anyone know why??
Dear Brian, Thank you for your inquiry. It is most likely that the injectors are becoming blocked, which can prevent the burner from lighting properly. To maintain the injectors and ensure optimal performance, the best method is to remove the injector and soak it in Coca-Cola overnight. The acidity in Coca-Cola can effectively dissolve any buildup or debris.
Below are the steps for removing and maintaining the injector:
1. Undo and remove the burner screw on the underside of the body. 2. With a small shifter, remove the injector from the gas valve. 3. Soak the injector in Coca-Cola overnight. 4. Rinse the injector thoroughly with water and ensure it is completely dry before reattaching. 5. Re-attach the injector to the gas valve and then re-attach the burner.
For your reference, the instruction manual does show how to access the injector, or you are welcome to contact us for further information.
Hi I have a gasmate classic 2 burner stove, I want to connect to bayonet 3/8” caravan fitting what adapter can I purchase.
Tim
Hi Tim, thanks for checking, but unfortunately this can't be done. The classic 2 burner stove operates off high pressure, whereas the gas coming out of your caravan will already be regulated to low pressure. So if you were to connect it to a caravan bayonet, it simply won't work.
My new gasmate 2 burner stove gas very high pressure when lit,and irregular flame, should I fit a regulator
Hi Ringo, Thanks for making contact with us, your stove is actually a high pressure stove, so you definitely don't need to add a regulator. If you are concerned at all about it's performance, you are welcome to send us an image or video of the stove in operation via our inquiry form at the following link - external link . And one of our friendly team will come back to you, kind regards - The Gasmate Team.

What size o rings are required for my trusty Gasmate 1095 model? I haven’t used it for 2 years. The o rings have perished and dropped off each end of the hose fittings. It would be good to fire it up again.
Is there any way you CAN hook the 2 burner classic to a 9kg POL TYPE 21 at all. I know you can buy an adaptor, but do you need a regulator on hose. This question has been asked but with no real answer
What is the part number for the hose on the gasmate 1305 please.
Hi I have a brand new gas mate 4kg bottle and a new 2 burner, connections all seem right, all tightly screwed on etc, when I turn on the gas at the burner makes a noticeable noise like gas is coming through but the burners don’t light up, any ideas? Thanks
Hi Kelly,
Is there a red ignition button on the front of your BBQ? If not your BBQ will require manual ignition, we recommend a long match or a cigarette lighter. Please let us know if you have any further questions. kind regards Gasmate.
I purchased this stove some time back as an emergency stove. Was used once soon after I bought it and was then stored in it's box. Pulled it out last week in an emergency but was unable to use it as Gas leaked from the connection at the stove end. Went out and purchased replacement hose (presumed O ring was perished), but problem still persists. Have cleaned connection, blew compressed air through it as well. Connections are like new. Has there been any recall on this problem or have I just got a dodgy fitting.
I have the exact same problem and done the same things... still leaking
I have to tighten mine with multi grips. Hand tightening won't do.
Had same issue, tightened with multi grips but it still leaks! Not sure if it's compatible with the older style but it's not good if you have to resort to using multigrips to tighten it up.
Do we need a regulator for this stove when connecting to a 9kg cylinder
I have the same query, i have been using it on a 9 kg cylinder and sometimes it really flames up when you start it ?
In my experience this is when the thread hasn't been done up tight enough, air/water (not sure) gets in and causes the flare (my best guess). Use a pair of pliers and make sure the thread is fine up as tight as you can.
Use a spanner!
Bought the 2 Burner gasmate cooker which comes with hose, and a 2kg gasmate lpg bottle. Hose will not screw onto lpg bottle. Both say they are made for 3/8 hose fitting...
Try turning the hose fitting anticlockwise. Most gas threads are left hand thread.
I have a problem - gas doesnt seem to get past the safety valve in the hose connection to the cooker. I dont think the valve is reaching far enough into the Cooker Connection to be triggered. Can I simply adjust the valve depth by turning it (bringing it out further) so that it is triggered?
Oring might be defective
