Gasmate Butane Portable Cooker PC-1070 Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have a Gasmaster Portable cooker PC107OK. I bought it a few years back for emergency black outs. Finally needed to use it recently in QLD. Aust. My question is what to do with half used cartridge?? I also have 4 more full cartridges I purchased when I bought cooker. Are they still safe to keep??
Check on the canister to see if there is a use-by date. If not, check with Gasmate. I have canisters over a year old and still use them. They are in perfect condition. If they were damaged or rusty I would dispose of them at a suitable disposal facility.
It seems this cooker has been discontinued. I have had it for many years unopened along with 4 canisters. Can anyone tell me if it would be safe to use the cooker and the canisters???
I would personally not advise you to, but if you must, only start up outside, think of a turbine engine, have a fire extinguisher handy, keep the kids away from it.
Has this product been recalled
Not that I am aware of. I haven't been advised by my retailer, and they have my contact details as a club member.

I have a gasmate cooker, model CS401, recently purchased from Bunnings. Is this the same as the model PC1070 that I believe has been recalled from use?
I would take it that the model that you have purchased is the new upgraded model. My problem with Gasmate was that they didn't want to acknowledge the fact that the old model had a problem. Hopefully the newer ones are ok.
