Cavity mounted toilet cistern internals disintegrated – During a complete renovation we purchased 2 Gerberit cisterns for a concealed installation as they were recommended and suppled by Reece plumbing supplies. After about 18 months the small flush button stopped working on one of the toilets. I should have done something then but was told warranty was around 15 years for these which I thought was reasonable due to the cost so I left it go with one of those things to get around to. Eventually went to Reece to file a warranty claim which they put through only to be advised by Gerberit that the warranty was in fact for 15 years but the internal components were not covered as part of their 15 year warranty! How convenient (for them). You would expect more from the cheapest Bunnings toilet but this is supposed to be upmarket equipment Since then by investigating repair videos it appears the plastic clips disintegrate which causes the small flush to no longer work. This requires a replacement of a major part which they say requires a plumber to replace. I would not recommend this product as it breaks in an unreasonable time and is excluded from their 15 year warranty that Reece boast about.
