Genisis G70 service is almost non existent

Car keys remotes both falled (its 10 months old)the last one sat 4th March , car doors wont lock or unlock and the only way to open is through the boot once your in the car it starts and to lock you have to open the boot and push the lock button. After 6 calls and many emails they still don't have a solution. Even the sales people say the service is really poor. Show details

Puts its competitors to shame

Only had this for a month now, but having upgraded from a BMW x3, this really is a whole new level of luxury. The 2.5 is sufficient for most people as its still fast. I'd also say you're better off without the AWD unless you travel to the snow a lot. Show details

Questions & Answers

Jamie L.
Jamie L. · GV70 Petrol 2.5T AWD (2021-2024)

I have a GV70 2022 25T AWD model, after 1.5 yrs of ownership, I have suffered 3 car shutdown issues, and had 3 recalls to the manufacturer and multiple recalls, and they could not identify the issue, and wanted to return the car back to me.
Has any Genesis owner experienced Car shutdown issue?
The first incident happened whilst me driving in a car park, and the car shut down completely, We had passengers in the car and witnessed the case. Then I had another 2 incidents that car would not start.
I had 3 NRMA roadside assist techs out, and they all said its a very common issue for Genesis and Hyundai cars, they all checked the battery, and there's no issues with the battery.

They all point to the issue of Power Control Module of the car, and the guys explained in detail how the computer chip board shuts down when it could not handle the workload.

I have recorded videos and details notes from my conversations with NRMA roadside tech, and a video recorded for one of the incidents.

Keen to find out if any Genesis owners have had the same experience.
