Gifted Memories Faith

I chose Gifted Memories Faith because it is a small business, and I generally try to support small businesses. But, before I placed the order, as the item was for a young boy's special event. I asked for the delivery time. I was texted back to say it was between 5-7 business days (normal delivery) or overnight 'express' from the date I placed the order. I calculated I would have 8 business days for delivery, so I placed the order. A couple of days later, I received a message from Australia Post stating that my parcel would be delivered 10 days later!!! I contacted the business and was sent a link to track the order (which did not work). I then get a message fobbing me off and completely shirking their responsibility for having provided incorrect information with excuses such as -"we put a message on our website" (about the delay) and "we don't have control over Australia Post" etc etc. Are customers expected to check the provider's website regularly after placing an order??? Never head of that one before. This is disappointing for the little boy who will not receive his gift for the day, and needless to say, I will not be ordering from them again. Furthermore, it is a shame that they were too insolent to acknowledge and apologise for their error!!
