Experienced and caring agency – Since 2012 Gittoes have been caring for our property at Gosford - in that time there has never been a vacancy between lettings and the tenants have been perfect. Caring and professional, always there for us and the tenants. Never had a problem in 13 years.

No help and no response – I tried enquiring about land with an agent. I left voice mails then called the office. The office had no clue about the property and said I had to call the agent. Agents like that give the real estate industry a bad name and that reflects on the brand who employ them.

Rude, self boasting & misleading – Arrogant agents who are very misleading thank god we woke up before signing anything last agents I would trust to sell our home need to act towards people more professionally and with respect like other agents in the area do; and not live on past reputations

Landlords Beware – My rental property managed by Gittoes was left smelling of Dog Urine on brand new carpets despite a strict no pets request. Property manager was unprofessional and argumentative, missed inspections and justified dogs in the house as an oversight on their part. Did not put a hold on the bond until the matter was settled and wont return calls or emails. Thank-you for leaving my investment smelling like a dogs bathroom.

Never use Gittoes – They are very rude and use abusive words.If the tenant is trying to call the property manager they simply won’t pick up no matter how many times you call them.We had 2 major pipe line breaking and flood issues while being there.They refused to reduce rent or pay for compensation.Whenever we tried to call them they even blocked our calls.They talk… Read more

Please avoid these guys!They make you depressed.

Pathetic – They think they are great. that is a lie. they are rude. sales men are rude and unhelpful. do not make you feel welcomed. they laugh at you and ridicule you. it is a joke. yes, we were not wanting to buy the most expensive property, maybe that is why they did not take us seriously or care to treat us with any dignity. thought it was a local family run real estate so they would be at least a little curteous.

Terrible – Remember that good old fashion service you got some years ago from the best of real estate agents? You have better forget it! Gittoes changed its name from 'starr partners' -they still exist, across the road from gittoes....- to 'gittoes' and got rid in the process of that good service we were used to with 'starr partners', shame, shame, shame!!!… Read more

I was told that they prefer listings in the poshy parts of town (mansions + acreages in holgate , etc...)Where people can afford to spend some money upfront (or do they? I am sure the owners of those mansions have some brains...). Now, if you sell an 'ordinary' piece of real estate and won't spend any money upfront, relying to pay your real estate agent on the juicy commission he will eventually pocket, go somewhere else, i will not recommend 'gittoes' this poshy and well dressed real estate agent in east gosford. Cannot think of a single thing i like about Gittoes in East Gosford, the principal wears a nice suit and tie, perhaps? But I would still prefer he returned my calls! In it for the $, nothing wrong with that, one is in business to make a profit, but it is now not enough to be given exclusivity & making a mozza when selling your place, they want your $ 'prior' now, to capture you & your support for a loooong time to come, when you have spent $ for the ads in the local rag -& the internet they told me-, you wont want to lose those $ by going somewhere else, will you? I call that a 'mcgrath' act, yes, 'gittoes' is emulating mcgrath by asking you some money upfront if you want your place sold! Real estate agents will never be 'up there' on the scale of popularity, with, lets say, the nurses, they use tricks and are far from being ethical. Now, myself, since i refused to spend a cent upfront, & despite the exclusivity i gave them, i did not get a sngle inspection of my place over three months, that is 'gittoes' for you, beware!

this is all completely true and I am appaled.

I was heavily pregnant when I was dealing with Gittoes, they organised to take my deposit on a weekend for a place (rental), then because the communication in the office broke down, the property manager told me I needed to pay the money immediately, on that very same day, contrary to what the receptionist had told me. They very abusive and disgusting, threatened me, and then kicked me out of their office and gave the house to someone else, just because they couldn't wait one single day for me to get the money to them. Apparently we all carry hundreds of dollars cash in our wallets just incase we unexpectedly get approved for a house.... Never again!

Rude, unhelpful, condescending, nasty, agressive, backstabbing, theiving and very poorly organised with the worst communication you could imagine.
