I've been using For Sale by Owner for several years now, both as a seller and to promote rental property and have found in general that the team at FSBO have been helpful and diligent in their processes and hope to continue using the service in the future. I highly recommend FSBO to other sellers as a purposeful method to utilize when selling property and when faced with the increasing costs of selling property via agents.

Have successfully sold two properties using ForSaleByOwner, both within just a couple of months advertising, one for a higher price than the real estate agents suggested they could achieve, and the other for the median of the range quoted. Experienced and responsive team provide guidance, the online platform is easy to use- I uploaded my own photos and video- and the signage arrived promptly. Thanks again, ForSaleByOwner.

there even a conveyancer if you don't have one.. Any problems they are very approacable and vailable 24/7 .. any enquiries are directed straight to your phone or email... Be prepared for Agents to jump in and tell you they can do this, (they don't like us selling our own property) the ol spiel, they know the clientele and have a list waiting to buy your property... They told us we had too much on our property by $25-30k sold it 2mths later $10k less than asking price... With FSBO you have a choice of using their photographer, (way cheaper than Agents) and you can have either just the For Sale sign or a photo board (highly recommend), you pick the photos to go on it...Also great to do as you arrange the times with potential buyers to view the property that suit you both, no third party involvement... And who knows your property better... Highly recommend and you'll wish you did it sooner saving you heaps in Real Estate commissions.only advantage they have is the list I mentioned, thats all .. the rest is easy....

Also there is absolutely ZERO support for paperwork, so you need to buy your offer contracts or whatever and however you are going to do offers, contracts, etc. This is a legal contracting process, so you either need to know what you are doing, or ensure you have that support in place and ready to go. But if you have no issues with taking full responsibility (legal, ethical, and physical) and have half a clue and are prepped and have the time, this is a great experience and you do not have to deal with real estate agents.

function. I found him authentic and comfortable to deal with. FSBO also provides fair and transparent pricing, without pushy upselling. I must admit that I am an experienced real estate agent, now retired, so knew what I needed for the market I would be advertising in. FSBO didn't disappoint. Their systems and software are easy to use and the resulting advertising is of a standard comparable with big players in the industry. You choose the level of marketing. I chose to do my own copy and arrange for my photos but FSBO can provide these services, which many sellers avail themselves of.  To work with you when selling your property, you will need a conveyancer/solicitor. They will prepare the Seller's Disclosure which you are required  to give to prospective buyers, and certainly in order to go to contract. Between the conveyancer and FSBO you will have the tools you need to successfully sell your own home. A smile and a pleasant manner during viewings helps too! No-one who attended our open home seemed at all concerned that there wasn't an agent present as we managed the open just as an agent would, with a person doing the greeting and another in the home answering questions and pointing out the features of the home. To make the open home process professional and streamlined, I recommend the use of a QR code which works with Google Forms to capture contact data as prospective buyers enter. It saves buyers milling around while they complete paper contact forms. You can then email the Seller's Disclosure and an offer form to the people who viewed.

All in all. a very productive and enjoyable process selling our home.

There were no annoying calls, no aggressive sales tactics and no strict deadlines to meet just to push through a sale. I was able to take my time, carefully evaluate offers and negotiate directly with buyers. This flexibility removed so much of the typical stress associated with selling a home. Additionally, the For Sale By Owner website made it easy to list my property, with all the necessary tools and resources (such as a well-designed interface and the ability to quickly update my contact details when my email malfunctioned during a flood of buyer inquiries). I felt confident in managing the listing, handling inquiries and ultimately negotiating a deal that worked best for me, all without the pressure or hassle of a real estate agent trying to close a deal quickly. If you’re someone who values having control over the sale of your property and enjoys the flexibility of a self-guided process, I highly recommend using For Sale By Owner. It’s an unbeatable option for anyone looking to sell without the high commissions and unwanted stress that often comes with agents. I will definitely consider using it again for any future sales! As a suggestion, I’d love to see FSBO add a member feature where new users can gain tips and insights from those who have successfully sold their properties using the platform. myself: 1) I didn’t have as much interest as I had hoped for – perhaps because I was too honest and advertised the property closer to its actual price range rather than underquoting like an agent would. 2) The standard ad size is also small so doesn’t stand out as much. Upgrading to a large ad on realestate costs upwards of $4000 and this isn’t the fault of forsalebyowner. Any DIY mob will charge this much because that’s the rip off price charged by realestate.com.au. 3) The person who ultimately purchased my property admitted that they initially thought it was a scam as they had never seen someone selling their own house before. I had to deal with a few dodgy enquiries that were clearly family/friends of the buyer trying to suss me out, but so be it. Most people probably aren’t that suspicious. 4) I had to sift through and deal with a few obvious tyre-kickers or dodgy enquiries. They’re not that hard to spot and again, the effort wasn’t worth the cost of a new first car for an agent’s kid! I also had some no-shows, but you get around that by combining multiple pre-arranged viewings to a single day and advertising early for any general Open For Inspections you're planning. The forsalebyowner interface is generally pretty good and intuitive. It worked without any glitches. Updates throughout my marketing campaign were generally uploaded to the main websites within an hour. The price I paid for the service was competitive, and there is some customer appreciation shown with a 10% discount offered for any subsequent listings I want to put up. No dodgy surprises like card payment surcharges either. When I needed it, support and assistance from the forsalebyowner team was good and generally prompt. I don’t often assign 5 stars to my reviews. Sadly it’s getting harder and harder to find services/businesses and people who know what they’re doing, take pride in their work, and get things right the first time. On this occasion, forsalebyowner.com.au stood out in these respects. If you’re comfortable talking to people, conducting an informed negotiation yourself (and knowing when "that's my best price" really isn't someone's best price!), responding to enquiries and keeping on top of things then I can recommend forsalebyowner.com.au. I’d happily use their services again and will also likely use their platform when I need to advertise for a tenant. Just make sure you get a good conveyancer to complement your campaign – one who will prepare contracts based on your individual circumstances and who has an authorised and legal trust account to deal in the sale proceeds for you. That's probably the only thing an agent can do that you can't! Thanks to the forsalebyowner team – best of luck for the future!

I used FSBO to sell a property for higher than the estate agent's highest range ($1.7m). i just now used FSBO to lease a high spec architectural investment property in Melbourne (I found that agents letting property didn't really help much). Same FSBO website functionality for both sale and rental, very easy to use. Highly recommend both.

removed early and ended up being displayed on just one site - Realcommercial.com.au. This experience was very misleading and felt dishonest. The company claims that your property will be listed on Realcommercial.com.au, Commercialrealestate.com.au, Propertyinvestor.com.au, and Commercialpropertyguide.com.au, but that was not the case for us, nor was it maintained for the duration promised. Customer support was also poor - phone calls were disconnected, and online chat requests went unanswered. There are other advertising platforms that offer better service and results for about half the cost. Overall, I would strongly advise against using ‘For Sale By Owner’ for commercial property listings.

This company is predominantly a site to sell property. I wouldn't bother listing your business for sale. I got 4 'enquiries' in 12 months and to be honest, I felt like they were just taking my money. I didn't really get much support and the time I did reach out, either no response or very short on the phone.

messages took ages to be answered and when our listing first went live it was in the wrong suburb and took 2 days to be rectified due to technical support being so slow....this lost us our first days as a New listing on the internet. Our first and only offer (We're now 5 weeks in) was lost by the conveyancer as she was extremely rigid with the conditions of contract and it scared the purchaseroff. This conveyancer was highly recommended by For Sale By Owner. All extremely disappointing and frustrating as have spent thousands and don't really know what do now. Oh and to top it off....our listing size will default back to a tiny ad in 10 days as the $1500 upgrade we bought only lasts 30 days.....complete joke.

Eventually sold the property.It was a long journey. FSBO worked and we saved a bundle in commissions(2.2%) and marketing expenses which generally accounts to 0.5% to 1.0% of the selling price.Conveyancing was a nightmare with the introduction of 10% Foreign Resident Capital Gains Withholding Tax as of 1/01/25.Days of DIY conveyancing kit have gone.
