Great oven but dont clean it – This oven is great in every way except for ease of cleaning. I purchased this about 2 months ago, and couldnt be happier. Then I had the misfortune of needing to clean the oven. I consulted the handbook, which recommend Mr Muscle.... but it doesnt tell you not to get the Mr Muscle anywhere near the aluminium or the rubber seals. Now anyone that… Read more

has ever cleaned an oven will know that cleaning it without touching the seals is probably impossible, and also the same could be said of the door. The black coating has now come off the aluminium, the rubber seals have lost all their colour, and the pan drawer below has terrible run stains where the Mr Muscle has dripped down on to it. Glem do not want to know about this.... even to prevent it happening to someone else. Great oven, but shockingly poor customer service. I would not recommend this oven as it is too difficult to clean without ruining it.

Decent Oven - Cooks well, great for my rental property – Purchased this because I needed a small stove with a gas oven, so far the tenants have mentioned it cooks evenly, its easy to use and the cast trivets stop all the pots and pans from sliding everywhere. Very happy with it so far. The oven does need a 10 amp plug for the grill, fan, light and ignition but that's not really an issue if you have a powerpoint somewhere close!  Show details

Lightweight – Parts no longer available for my old oven so purchased this oven on the advice from our gasfitter/oven installer...while it does the job (for now) and is better than no oven, there are a lot of things not to like about it. I certainly won't be buying another GLEM anything - ever.  Show details

Overall - pretty pleased with this product! – Whilst I agree with a previous reviewer about the gas jet being at the bottom of the oven and in the middle, thereby cooking the bottom of the food too quickly, I have since been advised by our wonderful repair man Michael, to cook on the second shelf rather than the bottom. This has improved the problem somewhat. I have had great difficulty with… Read more ·  1

the timer, but with perseverance both on my part and on the part of the repairers, it was finally fixed to my satisfaction. Apparently the problem with it was that when the oven was hot, somehow the metal in the timer expanded, thereby making the timer stop short of the expected time. Kudos to both Sarah from GlemGas and Michael from Roshad. Admittedly I wasn't going to be put off, but they kept 'listening' to me and it was finally resolved just last week. Great professionalism. So it's great to be able to rely on the timer now when cooking. I would like to know the best product to clean the stainless steel because we're not having much luck in that department.

disappointing – we bought this stove, being of Italian design, thinking it would be great.bit of a let down.although at the lower end of the price scale,it should be a lot better.Gas jet for oven is in the middle of bottom plate.this cooks the food very badly and tends to over cook the bottom of food.Oven igniter is a pain and will not light first time unless you… Read more

hold the knob for at least a minute.Same goes for stove top igniters.Gas knobs get extremely hot and can barely touch them.electric grill is ok,but cant be used when oven is on.Would spend a bit more on better model.oven gas jet is not a favourite given its location.thumbs down on this one.

Buyers beware – Just had this cooker installed only to find it is worthless junk, I wanted a gas cooker to replace the old one, the Glem gl53gi fitted the bill, so I thought till it was fitted and found the duel fuel was more than just the fan and light, it is also fitted with a stupid electric grill, why would anyone wreck a gas cooker by putting an electric… Read more

grill in it, if I wanted electric I would have bought electric, now we have a stove with a useless grill what a waste of money, the grill will never be used and I have had to go and buy a separate gas grill, there was nothing written on the box or anywhere saying it had an electric grill, not even the salesman new, and as far as the operating instructions well you have to figure out how to use the thing yourself, it looks like you can turn the electric grill on or off but no other settings to control it, so as I said even if we did try to use it its unusable, this junk was nearly double the price of others, and its a quarter of the quality, as for the buttons to turn the light fan and grill on, you have to push them right in. If you have large fingers you have to get a pencil or the like to turn them on yes you have to push them that far in. I am now saving to buy a new decent cooker, like the old chef we had should have had it fixed instead.
