Substandard – Initially, this was a great drill but very quickly the batteries failed to live up to expectations. Within a year, they wouldn’t recharge- which was incredibly frustrating for the money spent. A dud product. Consumers deserve so much better than wasting money on such substandard products. Great Drill, shame about the battery – Not sure when I bought it, probably 10 years ago, possibly more. I always found it a great drill but was let down by the batteries which lasted no time. The original company went into receivership in 2008 so unable to get a replacement battery I bought 15 new cells off eBay and have repacked the battery myself. A bit fiddly but now I've done one I'll make a better job of repacking the second.  Show details

Drill was ok. Batteries terrible – The drill itself, although heavy, was actually quite good and robust allowing me to drill holes in concrete with the hammer function as well as all other projects that required a drill. one would expect, and when recharging, you had to make sure you remembered to unplug it after 5 hours because it didn't have an auto cut off or over charge protection. That's all pretty moot now though, because I went to get the drill out to use it the other day. The battery was flat, I plugged it in to charge and got nothing. It's stuffed. Now I have a perfectly good drill that I have to throw out because the flimsiest part has died. Pretty pathetic really.

Can't recommend – Poor poor batteries! Even thought it comes with two batteries (Ni-Cad) both of them are now dead, I have hardly used the product though I now have had the product for at approx 6 years. Wish i could purchase better quality batteries. As it stands it looks like the product will go to waste since i'll have to purchase a new cordless drill.

Battery – The batterise are terrible with these. They dont last long at all. I will never buy another one of their products due to the fact that they must think people have money to burn by throwing it out when the battery goes.I can imagine the pile of gmc drills in the garbage because of poor batteries Looks good the Battery

OK – Not a bad buy. Wish I could buy a better charger and new batteries. Battled to get through to helpline. Says the number is disconnected. The hammer function is really good, the drive is read smooth, adding to the control The battery does not seem to last very long, and needs regular charging. Huge power loss when it looses battery power
