GMC 500W Multi-purpose Saw NELMS

Take a guess – Haha this is nuts! My blade holder broke as I was cutting a med sized branch. I used it well & had it over 10 years! I am looking for a replacement... Has anyone used the Black and Decker one?

Blade holder broke – Brand new never used, had sat in my shed as a gift for 14 years, and first time used it last week with wood saw blade the saw holder snapped. Hope to locate a spare or maybe another brand 's part that is compatible. Show details

Same issue as previous revue – The blade holder on my broke yesterday..after it sat in garage for 5 years... Sadly no parts to replace it with. I had hoped that somewhere there would be spare parts... Maybe the Arlec one might have parts. Maybe someone has one with a broken motor. that I can use for spare parts  Show details

Blade holder broke! – When sawing a branch the blade became unstable and vibrated. Checked it out and saw that the blade holder had broken. Had it 10 years, but really the part was made of white metal and should have been steel. I guess it gave 10+ years of service, so can't complain too much.  Show details

The blade holder was broken unexpectedly – My blade holder broke as I was cutting a 5 cm wood. I had expect the saw blade to break but I am surprised that the holder broke instead. I am looking for the spare part. That's why I see this review comment. Hopefully I can get the spare part otherwise I have to buy a new one.

500 W Multipurpose saw – Today i was using to cut a bloke of wood and it suddenly blade holder broke.I look the broken part of the saw which looks very weak.I asked with the repairer and he advised that this part can not be replaced,.I have to buy new one to complete the job.This saw not used much and its looks very new. I have to throw in the bin . It is good weight wise and safety switch the blade holder got broke and can't fix it.

L0L i have the same problem just happend to me like 5 min ago – My star rating is based on before it broke. A spare would be really nice but i dont see it happening Cheap easy to use Vibrates a lot and makes your hands sore and numb

Terrible – Not much point buying a unit which cannot be repaired. Waste of money if spares are not available. Not recommended Great idea, light & easy to use, very versatile cuts well, power adequate. Part which holds blade broke off & unable to get replacement part as Company in receivership.
