GME GX700B

Have found that the handpiece does not work – After lots of trial and error I have discovered that the handpiece is NOT waterproof and if water or dew even gets on it it will not transmit rendering the unit useless. Submitted complaint to GME no response. Show details

Disappointed...again – Replaced a previous GME 700 that failed to transmit with the same for convenience of existing mount, etc. New unit has lasted 2.5yrs and will not TX, adjust the volume or change channel through the mic. Reception is fine. Where to from here? Won't bag GME as I've had them with great service right back to the old Seaphone days. Show details

RUBBISH – bought a NEW GME GX700 from Whitworths , they told me it was a great easy to use VHF , so I connected it up and installed a NEW Arial went to log on - NOTHING changed back to the old Ariel - NOTHING power is OK and BOTH Ariels works on other equipment but not the GME GX700 I bought, It's not what you expect from a piece of "safety Gear" Show details

Faulty from start – BCF had a sale on a marine radio and my previous GME worked for 8 years. Purchased in December went up the coast to where the boat is stored launched boat went to log in before we run a bar and nothing. electrician who said replace the new aerial which I did and retested nothing. Finally purchased a different brand radio works on all aerials. So not only was the radio faulty but the service department are liars. Will repeat this message at every opportunity and every fishing diving and boating site as it now is out of its 12 month warranty.
