Purchase this radio unit directly from Oricom, and discovered that it uses RJ12 plugs when I was preparing for the install by and Auto Electrician. This becomes an issue when you wish to install the unit into your car with a pass through plug in the dash. This is a standard install these days. Firstly it will need the extension cable - can be… Read more
purchased from Oricom. However Oricom do not have a solution for the pass through plug for the car dash. It is possible to find aftermarket RJ45 plugs with no issues - I could not find an RJ12 to fit the dash. Why not standardise and make the customer experience easy.
Got it all in then realised it doesn't use standard antenna, now I've got to pull my old one out and replace it with new one, not happy at all. "USE STANDARD COMPONENTS" Others use standard antenna so don't buy this uhf. Show details

Great Unit, Value for money – Very impressed with the speaker quality and build of the unit, compact and easy to install. Show details · 1
Great UHF for my car – I found the installation pretty easy in my Ford Ranger. This was helped by using 3rd party antenna mount and microphone mount brackets. A nice neat installation and the unit works just as it should Show details · 1
Easy to use, and most importantly Neat – I think it is fantastic that all the functions are on the handhold. This freed up space to put the unit, tucked away out of sight. Since then, I have been able to get a decent coverage whilst camping in the Coorong. Show details · 1
Great value for money – Great tiny unit honestly amazing value wires are super long and can’t be run nice and neat behind dash. And Because the unit was so small I could stick it behind the glovebox without it catching on anything. Show details · 1
Great price Top quality – Couldn’t beat the price and quality, clear sound, easy install. The kit includes detailed, easy to read instructions, mounting brackets for the mic and transceiver, spare screws fuses etc and wiring. Well suited to any interior and love the look in mine, mounting the transceiver out of the way in the passenger foot well. The only other thing I… Read more · 2
needed to purchase separately was a mounting bracket for the antenna on the side fender which I believe they should include with the kit as well as one for a bull bar.

Great In car UHF Unit and customer support – I purchased this unit from an authorised Oricom store. The unit is designed for ease of use and can be installed neatly. The large LSD display is very practical. I like the selectable colour illumination feature which matched the dashboard of my Pajero. The rotatory selector enables to easily change channels, volume and squelch while on the move -… Read more · 1
another great feature.
It would be nice to have all the installation instructions in one document, rather than having to read bits in component tags. Maybe an opportunity for improvement. Users intending to DIY their installation should read through all the information and plan before connecting up the components.
The Oricom customer support is also very helpful.
This unit is a great design and value for money.
Very good – I’m very happy with how this performs. It is a capable UHF. I would have liked a little more wire when installing it. Otherwise everything else works very well. Great price when I bought it on sale Show reply
Impressive!! – Have just started travelling and the 360 has been worth its weight in gold. Travelling on remote highways with the Oricom 360 has kept me safe and I've been well informed regarding wide loads and trucking movements. So glad I invested. Thank you. Show details · 1

Didn’t last long – Both mine and my wife’s uhf we got from kings are now dead, probably out of warranty, but at least my battery isn’t getting drained anymore. Show details
Annoying – Requires proprietary non industry standard cable connections. To run through a pass through to create a seemless no drill install you must buy an extra cable directly, cable can only be purchased directly from Oricom, does not elude to this on any marketing or instruction booklet, that I could find, wasted hours researching how to create a… Read more
seamless install. want a magnetic mic holder? Almost twice the price of competing leading companies, and Oricom have built the handset so you cannot use a generic or non Oricom branded mic holder. Handset feels cheap, by the time you purchase required extras it becomes close to $400 to have a cheap looking UHF that for the same money could have had a high end UHF with all the bells and whistles included. Disappointed to say the least, now need to order overpriced extras. Sleazy sales tactics, won’t return when it comes time to replace

Playing up after 5 months – Something seems to be wrong with the unit itself been sent a new mic to try and rectify the issue but I am receiving power to the unit it self with no blown fuses and only works if I jiggle the positive and negative wires Show details

Oricom helped to solve interference issues – I installed the radio, it is wired direct to the battery now because I thought the interference was possibly from the fuse box. I get interference not only when my car radio is on but when a vehicle passes me it is like I have an open squelch. I contacted customer service and they said that the interference is possibly caused because my antenna… Read more · 1
cable is bundled up. I have never had an issue with any other uhf radio. My UHF antenna is on the right front of the Bullbar, so it is nowhere near the car radio. It is so annoying that I can't listen to the car radio and uhf together or when a vehicle is beside you. After contacting Janet at Oricom and explaining what was happening she had me do a factory reset which solved all of my problems.
A great price and worked great for two years – Was a great price, very easy to install and worked great for almost two years and stopped working for no reason. Contacted customer support with a few emails and calls, they arranged a replacement, they take card details to ensure you return the faulty unit but that's no issue. while it worked was great and customer support was spot on, hoping the replacement unit works for longer!! Need it travelling in the NT – Good unit, the double sided tape doesn’t work, need to screw the bracket on. It is an unobtrusive unit that works well, sound quality just makes the grade. Overall a great unit for the price that will do the job and not let you down. Show details · 2
Perfect for my needs – Needed a smaller or remote unit due to the lack of space in my Everest for a bigger unit without breaking the bank, crystal clear and easily tucked away Great little unit Show details · 1
Excellent product – Only took 20 minutes to set up, absolutely perfect if you've never wired a uhf before.i couldn't recommend it enough if you're looking for a new uhf. Show details · 1
Nice and compact – Being so compact it's easy to mount hidden away and only have the handpiece in view mounted on drivers side of centre console.. Only had it on one trip so far and sound is OK. Great having everything on handpiece. Just wish coax unscrewed at base of aerial for easier mounting instead of having to cut a slot through side of bracket. Show details · 1
Great unit – Well made and designed. Easy to install. Operates well and is very clear. Love the new technology allowing for such a small design and controls on hand unit. I also like the choice of led display colours as I hate any colour except red when night driving. I would recommend this unit. Show details · 1
Which system to buy – Can you guys explain the difference in the 2 antennas with the anu215 and the anu240 being used with the uhf360 I’m not sure which will be best for my vehicle thanks Show reply

Great price and works well – Easy to install with zero experience Works great and the kids love listening to all the conversations going on Used in the bush and hills and reception was clear and handheld controls easy to use on the go. Show details · 1
Best in car UHF by far – Love the size of the module unit and in the Y62 have plenty of space to fit it in. Shopping on line was easy and seamless. Plus on the road, the radio works well. I have had other brands in the past and the Oricom radio would be the best by far Show details · 1
Great product – We purchased for our first off road trip to Cape York and were told it was very clear, reception was great. We only had one issue when heading into Weipa where we received a massive amount of static and noone knew how to get rid of it, it fixed itself when we left Weipa and continued north. Great little unit. Highly recommended – I recently bought one of these great little Radios to put in our family car for recreational use. I'm very happy with the package and the quality is very good. the only thing i would say is the quality of sound of the radio isn't fantastic but is very easily fixed by using a external speaker and then everything is apples. i would highly recommend this radio package to anyone in the market for a reliable good quality UHF.
