Wouldn’t have purchased if I knew I couldn’t plug an external speaker into it – As above, if I knew the plug for the microphone was the way it was and you couldn’t plug in an external speaker I wouldn’t have purchased. I am partially deaf in my left ear and really need the external speaker to be able to hear anything over the pathetic speakers they have in the unit, Guess I’ll be keeping my uniden uhf and flogging this one off on marketplace
Purchased in at Repco Physical store for $259.
TX3120S kit – For what comes in the kit and the performance it provides it's pretty good. If you don't like the range you can add a better aerial. The unit is designed to be portable so yes some compromises have to be made. There is no squelch control but the unit does well to eliminate this. If you want more features buy a unit that has better features. Yes it's expensive but the portability of the unit pays for itself when you habe multiple cars to use this unit in.

Good compact UHF cb – The gme 3120s is a good compact UHF cb in the menu set up it has a mic gain 0 to 9 setting but nothing written about mic gain in the user manual. Plenty of user friendly function in this radio. The only thing that needs improving the recieve audio is very tiny and become very annoying after long periods of listening . There's no option for an external speaker
