to 10-15km (approx) uninterupted line of site. Battery has lasted 10 or 12 hrs with the unit turned up loud on hi power (3 watt) almost all day. Very happy with performance and durability. I would definately recommend this unit to anyone wanting a good quality hand held uhf! Easy to use. Loud. Battery lasts a long time. great reception for such a small antenna. Nothing yet!
