Budget value-for-money over-ear headphones – The sound quality is quite good, but possibly due to the the open-back design, the bass is not as serious as you might find in other enclosed headphones. The open-back design means you can hear ambient noise around you (at a somewhat attenuated level) which is positive or negative depending on your preference. The included male-to-male cable is around 3 metres long, which gives some flexibility when moving around near a computer, or being able to plug the headphones into a hard-to-reach audio jack that requires extra length. This cable with gold-plated tips may be taken out of the headphones and used as a standalone male-to-male audio cable for other equipment you have. The soft pleather ear pads and top head pad are comfortable. I find that after about an hour the top head pad feels a little uncomfortable, but a slight shift of position on my head seems to fix that. The side ear swivels have an excellent range of motion. However, these headphones should not be considered very portable. You cannot swivel the ear pieces "flat", but this is to be expected for the budget price. I have owned these for 5 years, taken good care of them, used them around once per fortnight, and there are no signs of wear on any part of the headphone (including the pleather ear and head pads). These headphones can be summarised as excellent value-for-money for the low price, but an audio enthusiast would probably desire better quality sound.
