By far the best phone i've had – I've had my phone since July 2019 and it has been an absolute workhorse for me. I needed a phone with a large screen and decent processing power as I run multiple businesses and need multiple apps running simultaneously, in addition to my personal apps. The interaction with other Google apps and smart devices (Chromecast, mini, home etc.) has been… Read more
fantastic - Bluetooth connection to non-Google devices has also been reliable.
I very rarely have any issues with lag, the phone freezing or needing to restart it. The phone has never heated up while I've used it and with the regular software updates it has remained extremely reliable. The only drawback is that the phone battery will not last more than a day with constant usage (I went on a camping trip recently and barely used it, except to play music, and managed to get two days worth of battery). If I don't charge it throughout the day the battery will run out before I get to bed - luckily I don't work too far from a computer or power socket. One huge plus is that if you use the default USB-C charger, the phone will charge extremely quickly.
Highly recommend the phone.
Best Android phone I have ever owned – Wow, where do I start, Google you have sold me on your abilities on creating an impressive phone, I was in the market for a new phone, read some reviews out there and decide to take a gamble and try a Google phone, I couldn't afford the latest flagship Google phone (Pixel 4 XL) so bought this instead as it was within my budget. It's fast, display… Read more
is clear, speakers are loud, the camera is very impressive and most of all it just works and works well. Video quality is great and Pictures taken with this phone are amazing, some people complain about the notch at the top, it does not bother me in the slightest to be perfectly honest and if I must say, I kinda like it's unique look. I love that I can zoom videos or pics to fill the screen into the notch area whenever I feel I need bigger picture, Apps load super fast and games load pretty quickly too, I haven't tried it yet but apparently this phone is waterproof, people actually take underwater photos with this phone, it has a fingerprint scanner, NFC and just has a huge array of features, the Google assistant can be activated by simply giving you phone a slight squeeze on the sides and the Google assistant works very well, what else can I say, this phone is just a great all rounder, I must say im very happy with this phone, looking forward to upgrading in future to a newer Google phone, however this will do for another year or however long I can hold out before upgrading. Hehe.
Great Phone and an amazing camera! – I have been using the Google Pixel 3 XL for 6 months now, I've been on Android since 2005. I'm only going on perception, not stats, numbers, cm/mm measurements. This is just how I have experienced the phone in the last 6 months. The bad: My previous Android had a slightly better battery life - the battery life was the main selling point of my… Read more
previous phone Google Assistant is still not great - while I love the functionality of telling Google to make animal noises and to confirm some trivia, occasionally it will ask me read and accept some terms when I've asked it to GPS me somewhere while I drive. Speakers are nothing notable. Yes you can put someone on speaker and they will play music, neither function is performed above mediocrity.
The good: The camera is best of any phone camera on the market (maybe Pixel 4 is an improvement). The reason I say this is the optical stabilization used in videos. It is unreal. Videos look almost unnatural because they are so steady. Photos are great too but that's pretty standard on any phone above $600. The OS is clean and responsive. One of the big sellers for Google phones is the lack of 3rd party OS. If you haven't tried a Pixel, get a Pixel 2 or 3... its fantastic.
Wife got one after seeing mine as did my brother and his wife. Unfortunately mum continues to stick with Galaxy phones (which aren't bad) but she is forever envious of our cameras.
It's fantastic phone, they go for around $600 to $700 now that the Pixel 4 is out and Googles warranty is top notch.
Enjoy.

Price and Performance – Great price arrived in perfect condition and I love the product best phone I have had.It is fastest phone I have used runs like clockwork also charges fast and the camera is first class
Easily the best mobile phone I have ever owned – Fantastic large display, great sound, takes a great photo, great operating system. It is, however, perhaps the most expensive phone I have ever bought, but it's coming up for two year old now, and I have no intention of upgrading just yet. To this day it does everything I want in spades. Great work Google. You should be proud. When I do upgrade, it will be to another Google phone. Show details
Good value – The battery drains really fast although I disabled all background usage. It doesn't work very well with other languages rather than English. The Chinese characters are way too small compared to English letters, it's really hard to read Chinese on it. Besidess those, I think it's all good. Show details
Perfect phone and perfect camera – I think I liked most about 3XL is the camera and it is superb. I owned a Samsung galaxy S8 prior to purchasing this phone and I was always disappointed that when I tried to take pictures. I do not have that problem with this phone. Smooth and supportive. I wish i didn't buy it. I was amazed by the Pixel 2 for 2 years of usage and this one for $1000 was a regretful buy – Great camera, great screen, amazing software. But that's where it all ends. The mobile phone was overpriced (even for a special price of $999) a year ago Battery is really bad, and comparing it to the current pixel 4 it's the same, really bad. Show details
Worst Phone I've ever owned!!! – Sure you get a pure Android experience but it just can't get you past the horrid battery life, slow interface, constant Bluetooth errors (making phone unusable) and the pathetic customer support. For a flagship model I could not be more under impressed for the problems experienced for the large price tag with not even 1 years use. This phone alone… Read more
has me considering moving over to the dark side and joining apple for a look... DON'T BUY GOOGLE if you want any sort of support in future...
Do NOT BUY – This phone is a piece of garbage. Google support is useless. Worst phone I've ever had, and I owned a $65 Alcatel before this. Stay away. Doesn't sync with Bluetooth, auxillary blah blah blah Show details
Best Phone I've owned – The camera takes beautiful crisp photos even in the harshest of conditions. I do not have to stress about it being too dark or the camera shaking too much. The display being AMOLED is very rich and vibrant with the blacks being true black and the brightness is more than enough. I use phone a lot for social networking and productivity reasons… Read more
and have no issues. Have tried large games before and had no stuttering.
The while phone feels smooth when scrolling and is great with stock android
Love this phone – Takes fantastic photos, great sound quality and runs so quickly. I've never had a phone that goes through the startup process do quickly. Google command is awesome as well and works great. Will probably update my plan to the updated version soon! Show details
Love this phone! – Absolute love this phone. Best I have ever had pictures are such high quality. Has so many features to love. Large screen is perfect for reading and watching anything. No issues with any app I want to download and use. Great battery life 9+ hours even with regular use. Show details

Good Phone – This was my second-pixel phone, I like Pixel 2XL than that of 3XL. The 3XL had good cameras, weird speakers, software lag, clean design, and interface. I would say decent phone but yeah not very amazing. The Pixel 2XL was amazing at its time. Show details
Such an amazing phone – Such an amazing phone! I love it's camera quality and the different accesabilities eg nightsight. Watching high quality videos on it is amazing and life-like. Games run smoothly and it's stereo speakers call for an incredible sound. Best phone I've had by far! Show details
Excellent Phone – Very satisfied with this phone, camera is awesome especially the portrait mode, performance is great - very fast and the fact that it runs on vanilla android is really a big plus.
Amazing! – Switched to Google Pixel as I wasn’t fond of bixby on Samsung. Camera quality isn’t the best but it’s not a negative factor. The battery life is excellent & the phone is lightening fast. It keeps up in quality regardless of if I’m playing games or using social media. Apps run smoothly & I love the custom options with different types of… Read more
launchers. I also noticed I tend to get updates for both apps & software sooner than friends who have Samsung devices. Super easy to use & transition to from an Android phone. Highly recommend.
Worst customer support ever & Phone doesn't deserve premium tag either – I purchased Pixel 3XL from Harvey Norman. Choose this over iPhone and I regret that decision soon after 6 months of use. After 6 months phone started having issues such as heating up while charging and draining the battery quickly. I didn’t report to goggle as I considered its normal for Pixel and hard to justify as a fault to google support.… Read more
after a month of this issue, one-day phone shutting it down itself every 5 min.
Contacted google support asked me to send a faulty unit and once it received by google they normally ship replacement unit. After 2 weeks of the whole process, I got a replacement unit as NOT SO PINK instead of my original Black. I called them/Google on why they sent different color units and an excuse was it is not in stock and offered me 20$ google play store credit. which I rejected.
I have gone through the same process for requesting Black instead of NO SO PINK. after 2 weeks of the process, I got a Black unit and it was faulty. The phone speaker had micro noise keeps buzzing when I place the phone next to ear and it's irritating when I had long duration calls.
So again 2 weeks of the process I sent back unit back, now I got a replacement unit which is NOT so PINK again. Seriously... now they offering me 20$ google play credit. I am out of my main phone and surviving on my old iPhone 4 for the last 2 months.
Worst customer support.
Camera can't be beat, clear display, but a tad slow – I switched from an iPhone to the pixel last year, my first android phone ever. It's a good phone for most, but for heavy users or people who want a lot out of their phone, maybe look elsewhere. The camera is outstanding, even in very low light. The quality of the photos, even when zoomed right in, is phenomenal. However, the camera app does take… Read more
a bit of time to get started, a drawback if you want to take a photo very quickly.
The overall speed of the phone could be better. This is due to the smaller amount of RAM, I believe. Very occasionally, I'll have an app crash because the phone can't handle it. This seems to have improved since the latest software update, however.
Battery life is, frankly, pretty bad. It's offset somewhat by the rapid charging (which is actually very fast, compared to my previous iPhone). But videos and games tend to drain the battery faster than what's acceptable in a phone nowadays.
Ease of use is quite good, all things considered. Even coming from an iPhone I picked up how to use the phone quite quickly. Most people should have no problem navigating it within a few days.
The phone best camera ever – There is no USB cable in the box and when even a high-quality cable is attached to a high-quality charging port, there's no rapid charging. Cases almost impossible to find Show details
Can’t ask for more – Great photo quality and the new night mode features are quite brilliant. I have accidently dropped my phone few times but no harm done. The size of the phone is ideal for easy handling and occasional reading of PDF document. Google assistant can be reached in just a squeeze on the sides and the best features I adore is flip to silent the phone &… Read more

Love the switch to android, couple of bugs very rarely but really good otherwise – Camera is incredible in all conditions, display is of pristine quality, I use it for everything! My business and personal use. Occasionally apps bug out, but that's likely the app not the phone Show details

Best phone I have had yet – Over the years I have been through many phones including iPhones and Samsungs and even Sonys. This is my second Google Pixel and it is my favorite phone yet. The camera is better then i have ever seen at day, could be better at night. Display is really good at all light levels. I use the phone for playing games and social media constantly, and it… Read more
runs smoothly 95% of the time. The only downfall is the battery now only lasts 5 hours in normal mode and 16 hours in battery save mode. I have had the phone for 8-9 months so far.
Fantastic Google phone but – So I've had the pixel 3 xl as my daily driver for almost 1yr and it's been great but. The reason to go down the pixel rabbit hole was made on the back of Samsung and their in ability to forward the latest Android updates frequently enough. Along came Google with their stock android experience! The updates are every month and never miss a beat. … Read more
The issue lies with what Google has released in America and what Australia get. Call screen feature that Google was selling quite strongly never made it too Australia even though it's software, there was no mention of it not coming they just never made it available and this was a massive drive for me buying the device.
Apart from some gloss in the software section the phone is great. You won't be disappointed.
Great phone but some things to work on – The camera quality is amazing. The portrait mode really let's you play with the depth of field. The night sight is amazing! Taking photos at night time is great! The photos look like there's tonnes of light. Only issues are. 1. Call quality - I always have issues with the other person not being able to hear me properly. 2. The phone itself… Read more
doesn't always run smoothly when opening apps. But I would still go with the pixel if I had to choose again!
Don't buy a Google Pixel – I purchased a Google Pixel 3xl and have had nothing but issues since. Although I love the camera, size and functionality of the phone it has had nothing but problems. - Myself along with many others have phone call issues. Static, drop outs etc. And when transferring the SIM to a different phone it works fine, so it is a phone issue. - Laggy and clunky interface with delays and issues - Battery life not great Show details
Great camera, terrible phone – I've had this phone 2 months. I love the camera and that's about it. Having used the latest Samsung and iPhones a lot in the last 5 years I'm very disappointed with the pixel 3xl. You can't hear or feel the phone ringing on a quiet street, let alone a bar, even while holding it. I've workshopped and trouble shooted for hours with their tech… Read more
support to up the volumue and vibrate (who were really lovely and tried really hard to make it work, it still doesnt) I've missed countless important calls these last 8 weeks. It's made me obsessively check my phone to see what I may have missed, which sucks! I don't want to have to check my phone unless I need to. The sound for calls is tinny and eccoy 40% of the time. I often have people tell me they can't hear me properly. It doesn't come with any apps. No headphone jack! This has caused all sorts of sorrow at parties and out doing life things. Not to mention my headphones need an adaptor to work, which I lost last week. It's really hard to change the ring tones, also impossible to change the new messanger app tone TADA! (ironically the only tone you can hear when the phone wants to let you know you should check it) It doesn't display messages on the lock screen, but it will display emails!? It constantly gives me notifications that I have new emails, which I've already read.
I have left it on battery saver it's whole life and it manages to make it thru 24 ok. In the last week, the phone being 8 weeks old, all the apps have started being sluggish, the screen isn't responding to pressing keys and buttons as quickly as it did and apps are crashing mid use. I'm taking this back tomorrow.
Amazing screen and camera, but battery performance is so poor – Amazing phone which is plagued by software and hardware issues. After 2 replacements (process of which is clean but onerous in packing and returning old phone etc), I have decided to give one more shot at this phone. But overall disappointed at this phone. Great price point but doesnt match performance of the Samsung or Apple in terms of battery. Show details
Great phone with the best Camera – Excellent Camera Quality with the portrait mode. It has the best camera among the smart phones. The operating system is a bit slower than others in its price range. But overall it is good. Show details
Best pure Google phone out there – My first new phone since a nexus 6 in 2014, I've been extremely happy with my pixel. Camera has fantastic range in the dark, no more over exposed from the flash. I may of been lucky and not had any of the problems some are suffering I'm not sure. So far I'm happy. I would of liked more RAM but with nothing on top of the google OS, it will suffice Show details
Terrible – Don't bother with this phone, not because I had a problem but because of the way they deal with the replacement. 1 week in a notice a problem with the phone, I can't sms. Phone drops from 4g to h+(what ever that is) The phone is sluggish with intermittent faults. Have to reconfigure the Bluetooth every time I enter my cars. The reason you… Read more
shoulnd't get this is because if you have a fault and with a new phone, it will take 15 days to get it replaced. See the major problem is, the store can't do a swap for you. It has to be sent away, when they recieve it.....then they send you another phone.
So if you are reading this, Don't get this phone. Get an Iphone.
Great camera have had issues with calls and now battery life – Camera is amazing. Couldn't be happier. But is the only thing I'm happy with. Since the start I had issues with phone calls. Could not hear people on calls. They would go robotic and break out. I bought this phone to go overseas. This was very frustrating as I could not make calls home. Paying 1k for a phone I expected it to work from the get go.… Read more
Came home and had to google how to fix apparently lots of others had the same issues. I have better things to do but spent time had to to update. It is working OK atm. Sometimes it breaks out but at least not 100 percent of the time like before. Decided to make the change from iPhone to Android. Now wish I hadn't. My battery life is draining very quickly. Like how my iPhone did at the 2 year mark. I'm very disappointed and have had to read up articles on how to make this phone work better. Keyboard is also an issue as it's difficult to type. The space bar just hits itself even when I am nowhere near it. Friends raved on about pixel 1 and 2 now I find out that the manufacturers changed for 3. Which might explain all these issues I'm getting which they did not.
Waste of money and effort. Bad experience.
Love my Pixel 3 XL – Have recently moved to a Pixel 3 and love it, i had heard that some of the older pixels had issues but i have had none it also has a great screen, and excellent battery life. I really love the fact that the OS has no bloatware and lots of extras and Topshot and caller ID is great. Show details
Really Happy Thus Far – I use this for work and home having previously had a Samsung S7 Edge. I like the size of the Pixel. Also really like that it doesn't bombard me with all the Samsung apps that you can't delete and need constant updating. Nice integration with standard Google functions too. All up I'm happy.
