Google Pixel 9a 128GB (2025)

As a cyclist using a Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headset to listen to radio, podcasts or music on a 1.5 hour commute, outbound and return, 14 out of 15 work days, with my phone protected in the rear pocket of my vest, there is NOTHING more annoying than google's system UI "Volume lowered to a safer level" intervention. The "lowered volume" is completely inaudible and headset controls cannot be used to bring it back up. I thus need to stop, often from a reasonable speed (above 30kph), safely, (it's particulalry dangerous coming off a path onto grass) then reach behind my back to get the phone, unwrap it, turn up the brightness, hope the notificaton is still showing then snooze this UTTERLY RIDICULOUS function for 2 hours. Google has still not shipped its "Hearing Wellness menu" to enable control of this ludicrous and, for me, danger creating feature that is very likely to become a source of future litigation due to personal injury. My advice, don't touch Pixel phones with a bargepole, DON'T EVEN BEGIN TO THINK ABOUT BUYING ONE.
Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $700.
Switched from an old 2019 second hand Samsung and while the Pixel 9a (128mb storage) has good features and long battery life I was very disappointed with the phone's reception. Internet drops out regularly and you can't make calls until it comes back. Didn't have this problem with older phone. I'm not in remote area, I'm in Sydney. After googling this issue it seems it's a problem with many because Google used outdated software instead of the better stuff they used in Google 9 phone. I expected better from a mid range phone.
