The bench mark for soft shell rtt – Quality components and top quality workmanship. The benchmark of soft shell rtt. Had mine 3 years in the uk all weathers no problems at all. And looks the part when folded down on the roof Show details
Toughest of all the roof top tents – We’ve owned this tent for about 18 months and it’s been used on a number of extreme trips and the odd caravan park visit. The overall build quality is first class and the canvas is really durable and able to cope with crazy winds and near monsoon rains. The mattress that comes with the tent is super comfortable which makes a huge difference when… Read more
trips are over three weeks at a time. Setting it up and packing away is fast and easy and we like how it alway has tension in the walls as opposed to other ‘cheaper’ alternatives that appear to be sagging or just badly manufactured. The design aids airflow especially in summer and the inside height is a real advantage too. We have it on our rack which is higher than most vehicles and the ladder extension works really well. The service from Gordigear has been outstanding and any request has been dealt with promptly and with super efficiency. Every time we’ve parked up people have asked what type of tent it is…. Hard to fault this product.
The Best Roof Top Tent – After 12 months and a lot of research I purchased the Explorer Plus. After 5 years of heavy use I can honestly say the research was worth it. We lived in it for 6 months while we traveled for work and had a ball. The real test came in the high country when the weather turned on us. 100km hour winds and torrential rain and the Explorer Plus… Read more
performed flawlessly. I looked at a lot of reviews of the "popular" tents out there but they need to do a review of the best. Can't recommend the highly enough!
My first story Apartment – Researched RTTs for 6 months and finally decided on the Explorer plus and annex. First 5 nights in it we had gale force winds, torrential rain, and hail, tent didn't notice them. Very very happy with it. Show details
Gordigear rooftop tent is great, they have a great product with great comfort and great back-up! – After looking at many rooftop tents at various shows, comparing prices, weight and quality, we decided to buy a Gordigearrooftop tent over 6 years ago. We took it to the Flinders Ranges, West Coast of South Australia, to the Victorian Alps, through the NT and the whole length of WA. We are both close to 70 years old and we have managed to put up… Read more
the tent and have dinner ready within less than 30 minutes. Being high up, it allowed fresh air to keep us cool. During cold winter nights, sleeping high above the freezing ground allowed us to keep warm. The tent did prove to be water resistant during heavy downpours and it withstood fairly strong winds.
After more than 6 years of extensive use, we finally had to replace a zip slider. Helmut was extremely helpful in providing a prompt backup service.
We hope to be able to use it for many trips and for many years to come yet. The Gordigear rooftop tent was one of our best investments we ever made. We have also an Extension Roof Shower Skirt, a car awning and a mosquito net. These additions make longer stays in a single place a lot more comfortable.
I wish I hadn't waited this long – I've enjoyed my Gordigear rtt on 4 camping trips so far. The only negative aspect I've encountered is having to stop what I'm doing whenever someone walked by to compliment me or ask questions. I even stole the thunder from my sister-in-law and her sweet Sportsmobile van parked nearby. It's the best quality, materials and workmanship as compared… Read more
to the 3 other brands I compared. The "Ausie Alfred Hitchcock" pitchman sold me on the product through the informative video. He's great! Even better is the service provided by Mark Hickman. My awning was delivered to the wrong address, and was never located. Mark promised to send me another one, and spared me from a $400 hit. That is something that you don't experience with much frequency these days "outstanding customer service and support" great job Mark, and Gordigear. Thank you.
Excellent quality, easy up/down – We get setup very quickly, no problem with access for either of us (late 60s). With a Troopy it is good to have a full width roof rack, as access is required all the way around if you want to zipper the cover all the way around every time you pack up. We usually don't bother unless it's raining or severe dust is expected, the cover straps are… Read more
usually enough. Overall very high quality at a good price. Watch the videos so you can make an educated decision.
Great product and FANTASTIC service – Hi all. I have recently purchased a Gordigear Explorer Plus from Gordigear at the Gold Coast. The owner Helmut was very very helpful. On my initial query Helmut opened up after hours and displayed the tents for me and how they pack and unpack. Some months later, after much research, I bought one from Helmut and he helped me load it onto my… Read more · 1
Prado for the trip home. He even made sure the ropes were on tight for the trip and was very friendly.
I fitted it to my teardrop camper and it was indeed high quality. There are a lot of these style tents on the market and you can get other products a bit cheaper. I am a mechanical person and can confirm that the components used are high quality and should last a lifetime. There are lots of negative comments about other RTT's and I am glad I went with Gordigear.
Ten thumbs up! Darren Service, quality and price zip
Outstanding product and service – I think the Gordigear roof tent is a great product. Have used it countless times and has been through some heavy weather conditions without any issues. Outstanding product and service. Great service and price, easy set up Show reply
