GorenjeW9865E Front load Washer Great machine – I have just purchased this model washer and find it is a terrific machine. The comments I have for Gorenje would be to look at the wording in the user manual as it needs to be read 3 or 4 times to understand what ir says.. I would also like to see suggested cycle times included in the manual under the program information. Apart from the above 2 options I was pleasantly surprised to see it connects with 2 hot water hoses and not just one, this means that the full use of solar hot water can be made and power is not used to heat the water when hot water is available. The machine is fairly quiet and has a wide mouth door so large items such as blankets can be added easily for washing. When the wash cycle is complete there is a message informing you and a light comes on in the drum so you can easily see your washing. There is also a drum sterilisation cycle as well. All in all it appears to be a solid great machine

Great washer with great features! – After a lot of research, I finally decided to abandon my search for a top load machine and looked into front loaders. The differences come down to personal preference. I chose less water and power usage with longer wash times, over high water and power usage and shorter wash times. 4.5 stars for water and power plus a 75% score (for a lower model) from Australia's top consumer magazine, coupled with Gorenje's reputation in Europe and Appliancesonline.com.au having an extra 3 years warranty, convinced me to buy this machine. It only arrived yesterday but I've already put 5 loads through it including one heavily soiled load, and everything is coming out fresh and clean, no stains or bad odours. The spin dry cycle at 1600rpm reduces the time in the dryer. The lower models have only a cold water hose, but this model has both hot and cold connections plus the smart heating, which ensures that the temperatures are correct, with minimum power usage to achieve it.

Will write again in a few months when I have more experience with the machine but I'm loving it so far. There's even a light inside the barrel to assist loading and unloading.

Still loving this washing machine. It cleans well - I'm using BioZet front and top loader powder. It's quiet except for the fast spin dry, which is a bit more noticeable, understandably. I washed two blankets and after the cycle finished, I pulled one out of the washer and it was almost dry just from the spin cycle, which means less time in the dryer. Great!

In the first couple of weeks, I noticed that the spin cycle sometimes didn't happen. I thought it was a fault with the machine, but upon reading the troubleshooting guide in the manual, I realised that the load just wasn't balanced - I had washed a fleecy lined jacket by itself - so the machine doesn't do the spin, to protect the balance of the drum. I added more clothes and ran the cycle again, achieving a complete cycle that was close to bone dry. Thumbs up again!

If you're looking for a good washing machine that does a thorough job and has 4.5 stars for both power and water usage, the Gorenje won't disappoint you.
