It used to be good but my last 2 annual services were the worst and I have been a customer of this dealership since 2013. Service associates - I mean those who assist when you drive in to drop your car and meant to update you with what’s happening during - useless! I have sent countless emails for updates on an existing request without response… Read more

for weeks. I filled out the post service satisfaction survey and got not just an email but a phone call at start of business the following day asking about my feedback and why I had given them such when I clearly states the reasons - very detailed- on the survey. They argued with me over the phone and blamed me for the job they have not done, yuck so unprofessional.

Last year I had to call RACQ as my car would not start and was told my battery was flat and needed to be replaced. They were shocked when I told them I only got the car serviced 4 days prior.

No problem with the sales and after sales people though. Have bought 3 brand new cars from them and had an amazing experience although I never received my referral voucher when I got my sister to buy her new car from them lol.

I would buy a new car but not go back for servicing. Sorry Aspley Mazda.

Service Center Hacks – Book car in. Get phone call at some point during the day. Service guy is just reeling off an avalanche of words most prominently phrases about "Australian Government regulations" and "tyres required by government regulation to be such and such millimeter", "your tyres do not comply", oh and your windscreen wipers need replacing and a few other… Read more

irrelevancies. Wait a minute. Government regulations? Windscreen wipers? Slow down. To cut a long story short, the hack at Mazda wants me to agree to have the service center replace my tyres. Doesn't want to inquire if I have a tyre guy or suggest I get them looked at by wherever I usually go to do my tyres. Just word vomits passive aggressive threats about government regulations. Reading between the lines he's attempting to rattle me and hard sell the Aspley Mazda service center tyres. I tell him to slow down etc. I get direct with him. Maybe even a little blunt. Much later in the day I call to see when I can pick up my car. I'm given a time. I turn up. I'm forced to wait in the lobby while scores of other people come and go. Nobody says a word to me. I wait for over an hour. The snarky, lofty staff all swan around in their fabulousness and self importance with the jungle music on the hifi speaker system, inane TV screens showing rubbish and mountains of disgusting bakery dough on a table. They, or more specifically, the hack I spoke to on the phone, is making me wait out of spite. He clearly didn't appreciate my directness earlier on the phone. So in professional Aspley Mazda form, he's taking it personally and sulking. His pettiness has me sitting there over an hour. Eventually I'm taken over to some special table where all the arrogant eftpos jockeys sit so they can rip you off. This is Aspley Mazda.

Service dept just doesn’t care - spend your money elsewhere – Brought our CX-8 through these guys and it has been serviced regularly through them. Previously I haven’t had any issues and been very happy with the service… however the latest service was a disappointment. The car was dropped off on time and when we got it back, logbook not filled in, not a receipt for the service. car was in a dirtier state… Read more

when it went to them in (oh they ‘forgot’ to mention they don’t wash the cars anymore) left with greasy handprints on the bonnet sills and side panels. They had ‘tested’ the wiper spray and left very soapy spray across the windscreen, roof and rear of the car….and left it to dry on. They were also running nearly an hr late with no apologies. When you are paying dealer premium cost for a service you’d expect premium service and pride in your product…..

Great Experience! - Purchasing a brand new 2024 Mazda 3 Hatchback – Ethan was a great saleperson, very approachable and knowlegeable both before and after sale. Recently I have taken vehicle in for the free 1000 km service, and they dropped me home and picked me up later saving me over $50 in taxi fares!

Grand Prix Caboolture and Mazda Australia rip off merchants. $1350 for a CV – The biggest piece of rubbish - designed so installing a Thermostat takes 1-2 days. have owned this piece of junk since 2013. I bought it from my sister who purchased it new from Grand Prix Mazda Aspley. It was in very good condition. Should have spent the money on a Nissan. I have done almost every service except for sending it to Grand Prix… Read more

Caboolture where it needed a computer update (not required apparently) and change of oil for over $300. Rip off so I have taken it too [Name Removed] at Narangba Valley Tyre and Mechanical and Pedder's. [Name Removed] is excellent as is his garage but is so popular that you have to book over a month ahead.

I have had to put in new shocks all round at 60,000 km when they should last 80-120 k km Put in aftermarket Monroe which are much better quality and far cheaper than Mazda crap)

Front wish bones went at 80,000 when they should last 120kms at least. Rubbish Mazda so called genuine parts again failing. Pedder's put theirs in and much much cheaper and better quality.

I change the oil and filters religiously myself. Changing the oil filter is horrible as Mazda want you to do this at their rip off dealership as the filter is in a very hard to get area by hand.

The car has been running rough and I have nutted it down to the thermostat being old and affecting the ECU. No worries I thought. Thermostat was old and did last but is a absolute nightmare to install

I decided to order in a genuine thermo from overseas at a price a lot less than Mazda Australia rip off priced.

I also online ordered a million radiator hoses and a high quality better than Genuine Mazda water pump from Repco. The current one was still good but at 190,000 I was always going to replace it.

Mazda make the changing of the Thermostat a nightmare job as the hoses are a nightmare to get off with the Mazda clamps cheap and nasty and very very difficult to remove as there is no room to remove with the engine clutter and the radiator fan almost needing to be removed. Had to remove all of the underneath cheap plastic shroud where rusty bolts break off etc. Very low-quality bolts and fittings.

Took me over 1 1/2 days to change hoses and fit the water pump which was easy after almost removing the motor to get at it due to the design of the motor cheap plastic parts.

Did the change of the auto transmission filter and fluids. Quite easy and allowed me to settle down over Mazda design of the motor and bay causing you to always go to a garage preferably theirs's.

I noticed the right front CV drive shaft was leaking and therefore I needed to replace both. Not an easy job but a home handyman can do it after following Youtube ways. Youtube has saaved me thousands of dollars.

I knew Mazda Caboolture price on genuine Mazda 2006 BK sedan front CVs would be expensive. I rang Mazda Caboolture and was told by a very nice sales assistant that one was $1,3050 approx. EACH. I kid you not. 3-year warranty and 60,000km apparently. I did ask this sales assistant why he/she would work for an unscrupulous company like Mazda. Loves cars apparently and this person is looking at his/her options. I would be too. Talk about Mazda Caboolture and Mazda Aust price gouging to the extreme.

I was able to purchase two very high quality above OEM from Repco North Lakes who can be expensive for a total of $580 for a pair. Better quality than Mazda and had them in one day.

I could not get over the low plastic quality of this Mazda 3.

Sitting next to is my original 1996 GQ Patrol that takes 20 minutes for a new thermostat and which I always buy from PartSonq overseas along with genuine water pump etc. I can still get many hundreds of genuine Patrol parts from Partsonq and have them in 3 days from Saudi by air. Genuine. The plastics are so much better than Mazda.

I was so angry with this Mazda and Mazda's attitude that I am purchasing a near new Nissan Xtrail 4 x 4 and have laid down the deposit. I have since purchased the 4 x 4 Xtrail and it is very high quality. I will not be touching this myself except when my daughter cannot afford simple oil and filter changes but will otherwise book it in to Narangba Valley Mechanical weeks ahead. I very safe hands and also will book into Village Motors North Lakes who have very reasonable logbook servicing.

I rang Mazda Australia and told them of the debacle, and they did not want to know much except the overseas assistant just wrote down my complaint.

Mazda you have lost me and any future sales for my wife and I and two daughters. I normally buy the cars, and I will never advise my daughters to even consider Mazda.

I will buy anything except Mazda and Toyota and they both have massive technical design and quality faults.

All manufactures including Nissan inbuild the design of the cars etc. to ensure that you have to go to their workshops. Imagine electric cars where only the manufacturer can deal with it not the great mechanics outside the dealers. Electric will die as the resale is pathetic, battery replacement at 4-5 years at about $20,000, insurance through the roof as repairers add on the danger and new technology and scarcity of parts and prices etc. That is why Telsa have hundreds or thousands of electric cars sitting in yards in Melbourne and Sydney. The head of the British Auto Body stated that electrics are an interim idea as hydrogen is coming on stream, is safe, very readily available and allows long distance travel. Battery cars will never take off unless you have money to throw away. Battery will be a thing of the past as will the cars be remembered as a failure of an idea. Lithium batteries have almost gone as far as they can.

I now must attach an outboard motor onto the Mazda 3 BK and drive it into Moreton Bay

Goodbye Mazda

Purchased in Jan 2013 for $9,000.

A credit to the company – Went to see about possibly buying a new CX30. Ethan the salesman promptly came out from the showroom to see us. Over the next hour he took us through a comprehensive examination and test drive. He also provided trade in details and priced any accessories we asked to be included. Although we decided to purchase a larger vehicle elsewhere we were… Read more

extremely impressed with Ethan’s friendliness and nothing was too much trouble. In our searching for a car he was a standout salesman and a very genuine, non pushy person.

New car great service vs. older car worst service – Always excellent service on my new Mazda but taking my son’s older Mazda for a service, or checkup is a different story. They literally forget about the car, and when I phone get the run around being passed to different “service managers” till eventually being told they “ran out of time” and need to keep the car overnight. This has happened twice now. Will rather take the older Mazda somewhere else for a service in future.

Worst place to get your car serviced – Took my well functioning car for usual servicing and with summer coming asked them to look into my air con. The aircon suddenly stopped working after that they never acknowledged it. Also i still have the rear view l mirror damaged from whatever chemical they used, its left a permanent finger marks in it

Bad experience - Overcharged prices – I wouldn't recommend Grand Prix Aspley to anyone. Had the car for 10 hours for a noise in motor and service. Had to pay an extra $1000.00 over quote and they didn't do the service. We are pensioners. Show details

Grand Prix Motors - not a good experience – I had been looking for a van and saw one in Grand Prix used cars at Aspley. I had a fair idea what it was worth as I did my homework. A salesman fronted and we took it for a test drive. I noticed it did not go into second gear easily. I made the sales guy an offer, he was back and forth to his sales manager.I would not budge on the offer price.… Read more

Myself, the salesman and the sales manager all sat in his office and after much haggling the sales manager agreed to the offered price. I mentioned that I would like their workshop to check out the problem of getting it into second gear. The sales manager promptly stated that it had been through the workshop. He then came the high pressure!! You made us an offer and now you are reneging on it stated the sales manager. Without a word,I got up stated that I was wasting my time there and walked out of the office and off the premises. The sales manager is high pressure. When this sales manager tried the high pressure sell, the hackles on the back of my neck rose!! Not doing business with you. I returned home and later received a phone call from the principal trying to salvage the sale. He was a gentleman compared to his hard sell manager. I advised the principal that I did not need what he had, but he needed what I had which was cash to buy the vehicle. In the meantime I privately purchased a Toyota hi ace van, better condition, lower mileage and air conditioning. The same company has a Hyundai dealership. I wanted to purchase a new I30 for my Daughter, paying cash. This company were not even in the race with their attitude and the way they do business. I phoned Zupps across the road from Grand Prix, spoke to the Manager on the phone, did a deal and purchased the vehicle on my credit card; pleasant, good service and a good attitude.

When will these sales people learn how to handle Customers and realize that the high pressure, hard sell is not the way to do business. It certainly will not get them any return business.

Awesome experience buying a car – Trevor was awesome to deal with and made buying a car a fun experience. I live in FNQ and flew down, was picked up at the airport saving the extra cost. I really can’t fault the team. What a pleasure buying from them. Show details

salesman asking for a deposit and commitment to buy before allowed to test drive – We visited this dealership for the first time and for my first experience with Grand Prix Mazda it was very DISAPPOINTING! I was expecting the “friendly” service and treatment that is portrayed in the advertisements and social media. Unfortunately, the experience provided to us reflected that of a struggling second hand used car yard. I was… Read more

shocked, that the salesman assigned to us wasn’t well equipped to handle the basic fundamentals of “common courtesy” e.i; “introduction”..”Hi, my name is” That aside, he displayed, limited product knowledge, no enthusiasm, lazynesses, not to mention he was very arrogant. Simply put, he was not interested in working for the sale.

We were there to check out the new Mazda 3 and to test drive it. The salesman, was not bothered to provide information between the models and their predecessors. Instead, he focused on pre qualifying questions and not facilitating “customer service”. In other words, “what can I get out of the customer” rather “how can I help the customer”.

BUT, what I found the most appalling was... that he had the audacity to ask us for a deposit before taking a test drive! This is a deseparete salesman tactic, AND an old one. There is no need to ask for a deposit when going for a test drive! This is why you have insurance. But, his short sightedness and arrogance made him lose two car deals. I personally don’t buy a car without test driving it, I don’t know any private buyer that does. Another Mazda dealer were more than happy for us to take a test drive. Toyota even offered 24 hour test drive after hearing of our experience with Grand Prix Mazda!

Prospective customers should not have to be coerced to agree into any negotiations that puts you into a binding contract with respect to a simple test drive. That’s a good way to be excluded for consideration and to keep the current slum of mazda 3 sales on the decline. The treatment from this dealership devalues the car and brand. I certainly won’t be going back there.

Greedy – Was very interested in purchasing a Mazda 6 Wagon and was ready to buy. They didn't have one to test drive but I was still ready to buy. The salesmen had to keep running to the boss to get a decision. We agreed a price but when going to sign they has added another $250. After much argument I walked away and bought a Holden and am very glad I did.
