Grant Walker Parts

AVOID this Supplier !! – I collected the parcel from Aust. Post last Thursday for the replacement of a clients Hyundai Ignition Block Assembly which was purchased from Grant Walker Parts in Melbourne. .. When the part arrived in Perth WA, it was obvious that the packaging was a disaster. .. The ignition key was left in the ignition barrel (for no good reason) and ended up damaged, as did the electrical connector to an ignition block solenoid... .. Simply wrapping the whole ignition lock assembly in an airtight bag offered zero protection to vulnerable parts... An improvement is a simple as using bubble-wrap and some polystyrene peanut beads... As they say: ''It's not rocket science !!'' .. Basically the item that Grant Walker Parts supplied was just flopping around inside the cardboard box... That's a 1.5kg part crushing itself and being bumped around by Australia Post !! .. Our client was under enormous pressure to get her vehicle back on the road, and due to the utterly incompetent attempt at packaging of the item we were forced to spend an extra $100 to replace the damaged Fob Key !!... .. The damage to, and serviceability of, the solenoid connector is still under review while the car is being driven .. To be blunt, whoever was responsible for the packaging needs to find another job... It's a disgrace in this day and age.
