Greater Gold Coast Removals

Atrocious Removal Company - Totally unprofessional – Atrocious. After waiting an extra 1/2 hr late, I got a call. I had actually booked another company (First Choice Removals that the depot was in my suburb) and got a call saying it was offloaded to them and they were 2 min away (actually 25 min), then tried to charge $220 an hour plus an extra hour round trip depot transfer (I had a $160+gst quote from First Choice.) Then after I asked them to take any large items from the ground floor out the back sliding door and down the path (as stucco is harder to damage than dry wall), they took the large rowing machine inside down the hall, but rammed into the wall (see photo of damage), they admitted damaging it. Then tilted my long otterman that had wooden legs upward, when taking it down the stairs (I have never had anything up that high, and when I originally got it, I had moved it in a box, flat, sliding it up the stairs, so never any damage.) I pointed out the damage upstairs and one of the guys said "You are just making up damage now" and pointed to a dent in another door saying "that was there already." To which I replied yes it was, showing my integrity. They also scrapped another wall but their repair guy refused to fix it, saying there is no proof, it was already there before. After the first damage one of the guys proceeded to take the large coffee table down the hall inside, instead of out the back sliding door. I asked him, reminding him what I politely asked all of them to take big items out the back. He got an aggressive tone and said "I am the professional, why do I have to take it out the back? You do it next time yourself!!" They agreed to fix the damage. My property manager whom had recently inspected just prior to the move told their manager the damage, including upstairs was not there before. When I asked the manager to check the truck for something I couldn't find he refused, and said "We fixed the damage, including the damage YOU CAUSED upstairs, I am not going to look." I asked the guy that was so unprofessional on the day for an apology and he said "It is unprofessional of you to ask me for an apology; How bout this for an apology, I don't apologize." Then he threw his rubbish in my front garden to make his point. I didn't choose them, and I never will again. They can't argue with photos. I also got one guy on video saying they caused them and will fix them.
