I have given one star only because I have to. Don’t waste your money. This is not fit for purpose. Firstly a nightmare to assemble, not one written instruction, only pictures which needed to be mulled over for ages in order to ascertain their meaning. You have to work out a lot on your own. Materials are flimsy and don’t withstand the weather.… Read more

Assembling it didn’t make it any sturdier, The first strong gust of wind lifted the roof windows (even though they were latched) and blew them, as well as several sheets of roofing material off, as well as bending one of the uprights. Can’t wait till we have a real storm. I have already spent over $200.00 on extra bracing and a will probably be spending more. I bought this about 20 months ago but it remained boxed until now. Should have left it boxed.

Don’t waste your money. Clips don’t keep covers on. First bit of wind blew our coverings all over the place. Took one person all week to put two large green houses up just to have a bit of wind blow it to pieces. Very disappointed. Very dangerous in winds. Can cause serious injury to someone. Should not be aloud to sell this product if it can’t do… Read more

the job it’s suppose to do. What a waste of time and money. I placed a complaint and received a full refund.

Oh and I forgot to mention parts were also missing. Brackets & bolts. We ended up making more brackets etc ourselves

I purchased the greenhouse via a major online store. I bought the "Green Fingers Greenhouse Polycarbonate House Garden Shed Walk-in Gardening Supplies Plant Stand Storage, 2.48M x 1.89M Aluminium Frame with Lockable Door, Gutter System and Opening Roof Vents" (no affiliation with supplier) Wow, what a fantastic value for money greenhouse. It is… Read more ·  1

lightweight and reasonably easy to build if you can follow picture instructions. I made a few mistakes in the building of it but sure enough when I checked the instructions, I hadn't followed them as shown. I found the building of this a good challenge but easily doable. The design of the aluminium pieces are perfect for fitting the parts together. I was able to grab a second person near the end of the build to hold bits while I worked but you can do it yourself if you are patient. The second person was used to hold the frame square while I tightened up some nuts and bolts. You know its not quite square when the roof sheets wont sit in straight. I have since placed the greenhouse on a wooden plinth and screwed it down with screws and washers. Feels sturdy enough. note: only 1 roof vent supplied, not 2 as stated in features and specs and one wall panel warped but useable. I recommend and would buy these type of greenhouses again for the value for money, might go bigger in size next time. (All brands look similar). Most complaints I read online were from people with no patience or ability to work out simple problems . When it comes together you think, ah that was easy in the end once I stop to think.

Had one for a few months and it was ok until we encountered gale force winds recently and it blew a number of the polycarbonate sheets out, actually lost one completely. They need to have a lot of additional re-inforceing added which is what we had done using 20mm x 3mm alloy bar screwed into the frames. Certainly bcheap. Show details

Follow-up  · I appear to have been blocked from the screen "write a follow-up". However I will add the following comments with this reply: 1. Adding the Alloy bars has made the unit appear stronger. Actual frame is quite good, but instructions lack any supporting notes. I had some difficulty fitting the door! 2. The alloy bars were fitted by placing them… Read more

I selected this cheap greenhouse, because I couldn’t buy the materials for the price. It is a bargain at half the price of other cheap kits. The assembly instructions were quite good, but be warned this is a complex structure of precision, and it is easy to make mistakes with many many fiddly connections. Read the entire manual multiple times and… Read more

check the purpose of every pre-loaded bolt to avoid rework. On that point there were so many components; there was no easy way to verify the delivery was complete which came in two packages not one. (That was after Big W systems decided to override my delivery address with an old address from eight years before!) I was disappointed by the sliding door. It has no latch and is so flimsy it could separate in a robust puff of wind or two. Extra bracing and lots of silicone is a must for such a light structure. Two people are required for assembly. Working as a team which cooperates on deciphering the misalignments due to the the sagging of the ridge (before bracing) and twisting of the supporting structure. It takes many days not one. See https://www.thegardenerscottage.online/2025/07/10/a-new-greenhouse/ for more details of the adventure.

Piece of crap – Bought a 16x8 greenhouse comes in two boxes , god what a piece of junk. They didn’t want to hear anything just ask me to send pictures and details of what’s wrong. I will tell you what is wrong with your product . It’s a cheap and flimsy framing (green) you would need a group of a least 5 to 6 people to help you to put it up . I spend nearly a… Read more

$1000 on my base and the same for that piece of junk . That’s going straight in the bin . I’m building it myself with proper timber that would last. If you guys is looking to buy something like that is up to you . I been in the building industry for a long time to see that sort of junk them selling to people . Good luck think twice before buying .

You get what you pay for – Received the 4.2x2.5x2.25M polycarbonate house for about $650AU landed I knew it wasn't going to be a Jem. First impression as a semi-retired tradie with a builder's ticket and 30 years on the tools was the pissant little box I could lift with my d!ck best i bust out the swear jar. Lets get to it, flimsy would be a compliment if you haven't a… Read more

concrete or block footing to fix base to forget it.

Lay it all out and make sure you have the parts before you start.

Get a tech gun with 10mm socket for the nuts and hoop iron or something similar and tech screws for extra bracing trust me you'll know what i mean through the build.

Get at least two tubes silicone i use roof and gutter external or if your brave use sikaflex

Not a lazy afternoon job allow the weekend and any mates with a temper leave them at home!

Follow the instructions if you have to drill holes you've done something wrong, I can see how this happens as things are reversed! yes i said it BEST TIP when looking at drawings it's from an internal view looking out that bit of info is crucial as I've read in reviews holes were 20mm out and that's the reason. If this happens crack a beer and rethink it out it works!

Don't EXTRA brace anything unless your confident with a level or at least have your panels in remember when building something square if you start off crook there's no coming back

Pick a day with no wind to put in panels dry fit! Remove then go to town with silicone everywhere all it takes is one panel to blow out in a storm and all-over red rover that goes without saying.

I braced with extra hoop iron held with tech screws for extra strength internally

Get two extra latches for the vents to close you'll see what i mean. All in all, the Australian 6mm panel kits were 3.5K but 650 bucks is 650 bucks, and I could have done a lot better building from scratch, personally I think in a storm this thing is a sitting duck being 4mm time will tell. Hope this helps good luck

If you value your mental health stay clear – The so called instructions are ridiculous. It tells you to put 19 & 20 on Wall & roof supports then 3 pages later it tells you you should have put extra bolts in the tracks for the brackets You can not understand how hard it is to assemble a 6 mtr glass house with backwards instructions I bought it for a birthday present for my son aged 32 and… Read more

we are both mechanics he said he’d give me the money I paid for it and throw it in the scrap bin. We have spent more then 18 hrs on assembling this thing and still not finished because you have to re do everything 2 or 3 times

Good for the price – I bought the 3.7m by 2.5m greenhouse through “ozsale”. Advert said 5 working days delivery. It arrived 6 weeks later after I emailed them. Box’s were light so I got worried and read the reviews. Then I got very worried. But I can honestly say I didn’t have any of the issues I read about in the negative reviews. Yes the instructions aren’t great… Read more

but if you’re not a handy person you probably shouldn’t be trying to build a greenhouse kit. All my parts arrived unlike I read in some reviews. My screw holes were all in line and every part went together correctly. I think if your holes weren’t in line, you’ve not put it together correctly. The panels are thin but the clips hold them well and I used a lot of silicone to help. The vents are a bit “flappy” but I reinforced them also. I built mine on a raised limestone base so it gives me extra height. Mine is in a fairly sheltered spot, but we live close to the beach so it gets very windy. We had a storm recently and it’s held up ok so far. I think people need to understand a high quality greenhouse the same size as mine is around $6000. I paid under $600 for mine, so overall I’m pretty happy with the product. My only issue was the courier company that Ozsale used.

Another chinese product destined for landfill in Australia – Purchase this product through Marketplace, so no warranty. It was still wrapped and hadn't been erected. About 1/3 the way through assemble I realise that I may have to cut my losses and go and buy timber framing and do my own design. After two days of trying to follow the inadequate drawing/instructions, I'm afraid that when completed it will… Read more

still need additional bracing of adequate size and about $200 worth of Sikaflex to stop it falling apart. This product and company should not be allowed to sell on the Australian Market.

Garbage – Purchased a 4.7M x 2.5M greenhouse. All the predrilled holes for the panel supports were approx 20mm off. This caused a very sloppy panel fit. Panels would fall out at the slightest breeze. Started at one end re-drilling every hole to get a tight panel fit. Needless to say the last panel will have to be a custom width. Garbage Show details

Big price tag for a product barely fit for purpose – This greenhouse looks absolutely beautiful in the pictures, but the actual product has a fundamentally flawed design and employs the bare minimum material quality to the job. My first impressions when the parcel arrived was "gee this feels so light", and things only went downhill from that point. The machining of the aluminium framing was poor;… Read more

bolt holes misaligned resulting in me having to re-drill to assemble. The aluminium is so thin I could literally bend it with my fingers. Once assembled I had what looked reasonable, but I found it to be less impressive even from day 1.

What the seller's pics don't really convey is the height of the greenhouse, which is really only suitable for dwarves. Plants on shelving hit the roof and you can really only stand up in the very centre. That aside (dimensions are provided in the description) the biggest issue is the way the poly sheeting is held in place. After less than a week I came out to find several sheets of poly blown around the garden. I checked my weather station and the wind had not exceeded 25mkh. This was a worry for me. Looking carefully I assessed that the cause of the issue is the top vents which do not close well and as a result allow the inside to pressurise and blow the sheets outwards. I modified the vents latches to improve this. Also the ridge support is made in 3 parts which join poorly causing the roof to 'belly'. This distorts all the framing resulting in less that perfect frame support for the sheeting. After a few weeks I found the vents completely ripped off and many sheets blown out again. The sheet edges were damaged and it became harder to repair.

After 18 months the greenhouse is as you will observe in my pic. I increased the height to make the product more usable and drape shadecloth over it as needed. I am very suspicious that the polycarbonate sheeting is not polycarbonate. Polycarb is what laserlight roofing is made from. It is indestructible, whereas these sheets are brittle and tear and break easily. I cannot adequately convey my disappointment with this product and my annoyance at the nearly $1000 I wasted. Zero stars and a report to consumer affairs is more my feeling.

Solid structure but customer service issues – I bought this through Kogan at $630. It arrived in 2 long boxes, one for the aluminium structure and one for the polycarbonate panels. It is a seriously solid structure. It looks good and I am totally happy with the end result. However, there are some issues. 1. The manual is mostly only illustrations with no explanation. One of the numbered items… Read more

was not in the box so I tried to contact them (in the end I realised the design had changed and I didn't need it). The listed contact number AND address was a small restaurant on a beach in NSW (they were surprised their details had been used). I believe that the company is based in China and doesn't seem to have a rep in Australia??? So, I was unable to make contact. I think they may be using the name of another, reputable Greenfingers site?? Don't know??

2. Two holes were in the wrong places so I had to redrill them.

One month after I purchased my credit card was debited $3,700! (2 transactions listed as ATO and Attorney General). I have no idea whether it was that my new Apple laptop didn't yet have antivirus, that the website I used with Kogan was dodgy or what. CBA said they will reimburse thankfully, but a very unpleasant experience there.

This greenhouse was obviously designed and cut by computers as it fit together really well otherwise. All parts were included. Great end result, just contact the vendor before you buy to establish a complaints avenue should you need it. Perhaps buy with PayPal??
