there were any updates, and was informed that delivery would be in April. Essentially I was lied to in order to get the sale (the consultant was very pushy to begin with) and they had no intention in fulfilling the early January timeline.

I despise being lied to, and going by other reviewers, this is a common practice for this company. Got a refund, but only because I threatened them with consumer affairs. Dodgy and dishonest. Avoid.

Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. 22 October and my phone calls and emails were only responded with empty promises. Each time I call they will say they will look into it. So no product after 6 months paying for my fridge and customer service is a joke.

One of the worst companies for customer services. We purchased a Rockpool Black XL 6B package. The lights inside the hooid have never worked, the electronic ignition is faulty, the fridge only goes down to about 10 degrees and the stone sides have fallen off. so did not work with the chair. Driver - easy going, said just call the company, well they don't have a proper direct phone, just a call service. When emailing, they force you to fill out a warranty claim, like anyone has time for that nonsense. Don't go to them, they're TERRIBLE!

I was second guessing whether to buy from grill king once reading all the negative reveiws. But I am so glad I did product arrived in a reasonable time frame and looks awesome. The delivery guy was the best so helpful and friendly. Overall very happy.

An excellent product, good quality at a very fair price point. I write reviews when I feel there are too many negative reviews without context - especially when my experience does not support the negativity. Don't listen to the haters. Grill King were easy to deal with. I'm very pleased with the end product and the BBQ is worth the spend. Highly recommended and will buy from them again.

to arrive. Installation manual for bbq don’t actually show the correct measurements. I highly recommend NOT to use these guys. Customer service is horrendous.

 Follow-up  · The fridge was damaged they dropped it. They told me they could only give me $150 back for the fridge. Iv requested a straight swap they apparently don’t have another fridge in till march this back in December the told me this. So I will wait and see. While the company may be Australian-owned, like many businesses with Australian ABNs, I can almost guarantee that when the product eventually arrives it will be manufactured in China. There is nothing wrong with products made in China—I am quite happy to purchase them—but this is not the same as being Australian-made, and the distinction feels misleading.

For future purchases, clear and honest communication about stock availability is essential. If an item is on back order, this should be disclosed upfront so customers are not left chasing information after the fact.

 Follow-up  · Communication is poor. Rang 4 times, 3 advising someone will call me back. 4th time I acted like I wanted to buy something from the sales team and got a call back within 30mins. General customer service enquires is pretty much a zero.

This site feels and acts like a scam. Was promised 4-5 week delivery actually took 16weeks. I called almost every week and could not get a return call or email. Then they did not deliver what was ordered and demanded an additional $1800 for delivery of the missing sidewalk. Would NOT recommend. Show details

 Follow-up  · Item never arrived and they wanted another $1700 to have it delivered. It was the second wall of the pergola (extra wall to the standard one wall) I originally ordered the extra two walls (including a follow up call because the website was so hard to use) - but eventually gave up after chasing them for nearly 17weeks with almost no responses from them. Absolutely do NOT recommend.

The team at the Auburn store were absolute legends especially the lady at the front. I popped in for a look and ended up walking out with a massive discount, so I couldn’t say no and bought it that day. It arrived just before Christmas which was perfect. I’ve had BBQs from other big name brands before, but honestly this one is on another level. The quality and value don’t even compare. :)

Was sceptical at first, but went ahead and purchased the outdoor setting. Was told the truck was loading that day and I would get delivery the next day, I received my outdoor lounge around 1pm the next day. Supper stocked and it looks amazing. Ordered a bbq module unit on 10/10/25. Was told 50% deposit was required which was paid. It does say 8-12 weeks for delivery. I was told at the time that everything was in the country. about delivery until I have asked a couple of times about it. I received an email on 3/12/25 stating they will sms the day before delivery. No update on timeframe or that full payment was due before delivery. At 4.26pm I get a call asking for full payment by end of day or it won’t be delivered. Oh but by the way, it won’t come in full. Missing a sink and still no idea how long that will take. It just gave me an ick vibe. Now my issue is… we were told, pay the deposit and rest on delivery. So I asked to pay only for what was coming. I’ll pay for sink when it’s coming. I was told via text after 5pm that if I do not pay right away and balanced cleared then my order will not be delivered. How do I pay after 5pm. Told them I’ll transfer money. Not good enough. They want the money right now. Was told manager will call at 8am for payment as a bank transfer with receipt isn’t good enough. Still waiting for that call at 9.15am the next day. Then I call them. I’m told no one around to take my call. But then I get a text saying I’m too late. Delivery has left. No update on new delivery date.

My issue here is that in all the emails they have never stated the full payment prior. I’m more than happy to pay when I see the items delivered safely. Now I know you generally would always pay prior to delivery but I know those stores. Harvey Norman etc. but I don’t know these guys and most of their reviews state getting damaged or broken items delivered and then no response to replace. When I mentioned a refund if we can’t sort this out, I was told no. We will keep all your deposit as part of terms and conditions. This is all via text after 5pm. Text included below. It also states that if I refuse the delivery that they may keep the deposit and cancel the order. Remember this is all after 5pm. Just text. No one has actually reached out to me. The only calls they make or answer is for money. I’m sorry but I’m just getting scam feelings here. I’m not saying they are or will but the professionalism shown by them just gives off a bad vibe.

I don’t like that they have one number and email for Melbourne. It means I can’t speck to the Sydney shop directly as that’s where we went to see the units. The unit we looked at was all busted and damaged on show. Which had me some what alarmed. I had sales people hang up on me when I was asking questions on the units due to the fact the website isn’t up to speed with what they have in store and lacks some info on size and dimensions etc. I think he got bored of answering questions. When I call I always get told there isn’t anyone to take my call. They hang up and I’m lucky if I get a call back.

I’m not saying don’t order from them but I’ll keep you posted if I receive my bbq unit. I just wish the process was more enjoyable. I’ve paid $3998.50 as off 10/10/25. Just be careful. Hopefully a more positive update soon.

Current update. 23/01/26 I paid the balance. Got mucked around a few more times about delivery. Eventually came a few days before Christmas. Delivery guys did not want to carry any further then the garage and did not want to take the rubbish. Said they weren’t told anything about rubbish removal. Showed them the invoice and they then took it. One guy did help me move it the 15m to my alfresco.

I upgraded to cast iron grill plates. They did not send them with the bbq. Took 2 weeks to get the cast iron grill plates. But they sent the wrong size. So now we need to swap them over.

As off the 23/1/26 I’m still waiting on the sink to be delivered. I have called 3 times since Christmas. 3 different responses as to where the sink is. Last conversation said they have it and they would deliver this week. It’s now fri sooo I’m guessing not this week.

Total waste of time dealing with these guys. Safe yourself the time and energy. Order elsewhere. If this is there customer service when purchasing then I can only imagine there warranty service.

since my purchase, over double the timeframe I was guaranteed, and I still have not received the product.

Despite multiple attempts to get an update, the customer service has been extremely poor: • No delivery date provided for months • No tracking number or confirmation that the product even exists in transit • Repeated requests ignored • No proof of shipping, despite me specifically asking for documentation • They eventually sent me a promised delivery date of 19 November 2025, which has now come and gone with no delivery and no explanation

After that date passed, I contacted them again — and once again received no reply.

At this point, the lack of communication and failure to meet basic obligations reflects unacceptable business practices. I have now had to request a full refund and prepare to escalate the matter through Fair Trading, the ACCC, and other consumer protection channels, as the company has not fulfilled the contract or provided adequate customer service.

I strongly recommend avoiding this company unless you are prepared for extremely long delays, no communication, and the possibility of not receiving your product at all.

customers (just like the reviews say) do not purchase anything from these guys. It is now my duty to post messages like this until I get my full refund for products I haven’t received in almost 6 months. I have just recently submitted my complaint to fair trading and this will be my duty to make sure this company learns from this and that I can save someone else from being extorted. Do your self a favour and save yourself the pain. Shop elsewhere. Do not buy anything and read previous reviews. pizza oven, and bar fridge. Unfortunately, the pizza oven warped and buckled after its very first use.

I submitted a warranty claim, but it was left unaddressed, and I had to chase them repeatedly over months, sometimes sending multiple follow ups per week, before receiving any response. When they finally replied, their responses were dismissive and inconsistent. First, they claimed the damage was caused by excessive heat - how ironic, given the purpose of this unit is to reach high temperatures. When I rejected this explanation, as I had followed all instructions and kept temperatures well below the stated maximum, they then dismissed the defect as “quite common with outdoor pizza ovens after initial use.”

Their next recommendation was to “knock it back” into shape, and suggested I could “improve the appearance” by letting the oven cool completely and using a rubber mallet to tap the area back into alignment. This is completely unacceptable. A brand new $2,000 pizza oven should withstand its intended use without structural deformation, and using a mallet to “fix” a manufacturing defect is not a solution especially when it is physically not possible to rectify this way.

After many months, their final offer was insulting, a $50 partial refund or the option to purchase a new unit at a small discount, leaving me thousands out of pocket. I rejected this and am now compelled to leave this review to warn others.

Their customer service has been slow, evasive, and dismissive throughout. There were countless unanswered messages, delayed responses, and repeated attempts to downplay the defect and shift responsibility onto me.

While their products may look attractive, the reality is that their warranty support is non existent, and their customer service is deeply unreliable. If anything goes wrong, you will face months of frustration, delays, and stress just trying to get them to acknowledge the problem.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Grill King Outdoor BBQ Kitchens. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from them to carefully consider the risks before buying, especially if you are investing in multiple high value items.

On a positive note, experiences like this highlight the value of companies that provide quality products and reliable service, and I will make more of an effort to promote them. By contrast, if this is how the bad behaves, it really highlights the difference. Grill King Outdoor BBQ Kitchens clearly falls into the “bad” category.

The communication from this company has been extremely poor. We ordered a BBQ package months ago and paid the final deposit three weeks ago after being told it was due to be shipped that week. However, it still has not arrived. Each time I call for an update, I am directed to a call centre where I’m assured I’ll receive a call back — but no one ever follows up.

international call center who pick up the line and give you the same response. I find it hard to believe the positive 5 star reviews are true reviews and not fake posts from the company. We have been waiting for 3 months now. I have called 5 times this week, and emailed twice, no reply or update. I am currently in the process of lodging a claim/ dispute with American Express and the ACCC.
