We purchased our 13Plus Talisman Island in November 2024 from Rockhampton. The staff were amazing and very easy to deal with especially Mark. We are so happy with our van and would highly recommend SUV Guardian Rockhampton. Show details
Indifference from Guardian Campers with major brake problem – We brought a new 2017 SUV forward fold Grand Dulux Camper from the Caboolture Dealership. The staff were friendly and helpful right up to taking delivery and when there were problems. We noticed that the camper was leaking water inside even when standing packed up and there was mould. Also when towing in the rain. Caboolture Dealer said I would… Read more
have to buy 2 tubes of silicon and seal all the gaps myself. On a hilly trip I noticed that the camper brakes didn't seem to work. Because of this down hill I had trouble slowing and soon smoke was coming off my front vehicle disc brakes. I had burned out my front brakes. I was only doing 40km/h and have the whole incident on dash camera. I upgraded the front brakes on my vehicle with slotted disks, high quality braking pads and braided hoses fitted. I got the brake workshop to check my trailer brakes. They said they work okay. Guardian Caboolture told me they are electric and they work or not at all. And told me there was noting else they could do. Even though they didn't on hills. Okay slowing on the flat roads. It seamed that anything that went wrong was my fault when dealing with Guardian. I got the electrician who fitted brake controller to my vehicle to check their work. Tested okay. I then took the camper to a local brake specialist who also said camper brakes are working. Not happy with these four businesses findings I got a mobile caravan service man to check the camper brakes. Shame I didn't get this man first and save heartache and expense. He jacked up the offside camper wheel and removed the wheel and inspected the brakes. There was a lot of brake dust. Then he rotated that wheel and told me to press vehicle brakes. That camper wheel then stopped. He then repeated same of the nearside wheel. Finding zero brake dust in that drum brake and when braking with that wheel rotating the wheel didn't stop. So camper only had one side braking explaining my findings. I then had to take the camper to repair caravan place also at my expense. They could not find what was wrong so the mechanic open the wire controller under the camper and found it was dusty. This was a sealed unit the best on the market he said. Leaving the most logical explanation was probably from manufacture. He blew the dust out then the brakes worked correctly for the first time since I brought the camper. I contacted all the businesses and told them but was not given even a sorry or a refund and I am out of pocket solving this dangerous flaw and gross indifference by guardian.
Disappointing Service – We purchased a brand new Tallisman Island from Guardian Campers in Rockhampton and collected on the 17.5.24 and have no end of issues since. There was damage to the outside of the van, several items not installed or working correctly, internal fit out not completed and some items given to us in bubble wrap to fit ourselves. We have taken the van… Read more
back on 2 occasions as our list of approx. 25 items needed to be fixed/rectified to work correctly. Still waiting approx 6 weeks for the damage to the outside of the van to be completed but they keep coming up with new excuses. Paid $75k so definitely NOT good enough. We have fixed the majority of things ourselves but really disheartened with the whole experience through Rockhampton branch

Happy with advertised product – We purchased the GT Mega back in June 22. When towing husband says it feels great. The trailer has done just over 7000 kilometres since then. We have driven on sealed and corrugated unsealed roads with no problems. Used aircon in Broken Hill and heating in Canberra with no issues. The air annex goes up like a dream. The shower annex is great and… Read more
gives good water pressure. The touring annex is quick to set up for overnight stops.
After service has been very satisfying.
Fantastic Camper trailer – From the moment we first walked into Guardian Campers we were looked after service wise. From the initial walk through, answering all our questions promptly and professionally, made the buying process easy and comfortable. Very thorough in demonstrating on how to setup and pack up. They're after sales service had exceeded my expectations,… Read more
especially Andrew, who helped us along the entire process. There were a few minor incidents but the staff went out of there way to make sure these problems were rectified promptly. They have certainly looked after us and we will be buying our next camper/caravan from them.
2016 rear fold camper secondhand – Poor design of putout kitchen and stove just glued in and soon vibrate loose. Fold out bench weak and reduces access to the stove. Unable to access nuts to replace water filler. Battery enclosure tight and not easy to get battery in and out. Show details

Good trailer and easy to set up – Easy to erect air annex, comfortable king sized bed, roomy and good kitchen and stove. Good air conditioning and lead crystal batteries, The BIG winner with this camper is the ease of set up with the Air Annex. We dont carry the touring annex as it takes longer to set up and unecessary room. Learn to attach the annex as you open the trailer (NOT… Read more
LIKE IN THE VIDEO). been to 1770, Facing Island, Yeppoon, Stoney Creek, Gladstone. Travels OK on the road off road and beach. Your regular 4WD car jack will not do the job. heaps of room inside. We ditched the air ensuite for a double easy to erect pole ensuite that can be placed where you want it.
Great Campers! – I purchased a grand mega in 2020, my husband and I took the camper away for 5 weeks travelling to Cairns, Rollingstone, Atherton. It was great to have a double bed to sleep on, I did put a super sleeper pro to add to the comfort level, I hate sleeping bags so used fitted sheets, really comfy. The other great thing you can leave the bed made up… Read more
just strap mattress down and fold up camper. I loved the outdoor kitchen, no cooking smells inside. Big 4 burner hobb, fridge and freeza, The air annex was pretty easy to set up, allowed for more space outside. The ensuite shower was an added bonus pretty good water pressure and room to move. Aircon was a bonus especially on a hot night. Would have liked more storage cupboards but was able to put plastic box’s inside so no drama. I had never towed in my life, found it super easy to tow, just need to learn to back.
Would definitely recommend SUV/Guardian campers
Best camper i have ever owned, reliable and company was great to deal with – I looked at the Brisbane caravan show year ago at some of there campers and the quality build took my eye. I seen the air annex and how easy it was to put up and that sold it to me along with the features this camper has, my wife wanted the airconditioner so we had a win win , we are loving it and thank you to the team at caboolture for the great service , we are very happy with our purchase. Absolutely disgusting customer service – Picked up brand new camper, meant to be registered. But 2 months later still no registration. Get ignored by company. Show details
Terrible – inquired about a camper at the start of February 2021, contacted them again mid February to enquirer about the delivery time if I ordered one. Were told the delivery at that time was 8 to 10 weeks but they could not confirm any more accurately until I paid the deposit as the campers were located on a first in first served basis once the deposit is… Read more
paid. I paid the deposit mid February and then tried to get a confirmation of the delivery date, after 3 phone calls over 3 weeks and 3 times they avoid giving me a straight answer, we were then finally told they were hoping to deliver the camper in October (8 months from deposit paid) but it might be as late as February 2022 (1 year from deposit paid/ordering). They outright [Content Removed] when we ordered the camper just to get the deposit. We are still waiting for the delivery and are very annoyed and what makes it worse is it appears they don't care in any way at all about what they have done and they have ignored all attempts I have made to get any more accurate commitment from them as to when the camper will be delivered. I am starting to suspect we may never see our camper or deposit My advise - think twice before placing your order, if they don't have it in stock for immediate delivery then don't trust their advise on expected delivery time

Basically fell to pieces and after sales non existent – Basically fell to pieces on first real trip, after sales service is non existent and can’t find parts outside of Guardian SUV Centre, flog it while under warranty is my advice but then good luck getting your claim through, you will be ignored and need to be vigilant in your attempts. My first hand advice is go somewhere else !! Show details
Bad After Sale Service – Purchased my Guardian camper 16 months ago. Cheap Chinese AM/FM radio stopped working on first trip out. I replaced the radio with a Kenwood stereo.I was remunerated $80. The Nylon tow hitch cracked to bits on our last trip 17/7/20. Three of the four cheap Chinese shocks started leaking oil after approx 50hrs of road use. Dust ingress due to bad… Read more
rubber seals and poor internal sealing is an issue. Paint and finish on close inspection is questionable. Contacted them with my issues to see if they could work with me to resolve the issues ( Tow Hitch and Shockers.) and after initial contact have heard nothing back.
