I used to use the regular haakaa to catch the drip on one side while breast feeding, but after needing to use a firm feeding pillow there wasn't enough room for it to fit. I read reviews and was unsure about how effective this would be. It works great! I was worried it wouldn't be suctioned enough to catch what I needed for a top up bottle compared to the normal haakaa. It catches nearly the same amount as I get from the regular haakaa (50-70ml). Honestly the ladybug feels a lot more comfortable to wear as well. Also I have no problems cleaning mine or trouble with it staying on.

Not worth it – The ladybug is definitely not as discrete as is made out. It doesn’t suction well to the breast and it’s not clear how often you should be emptying it- can be dangerous if the unrefrigerated milk is kept in it too long. Would be good for those who have big letdowns and wear loose clothing to conceal it but I wouldn’t bother with it otherwise

Wearing at night – These are way better than regular shells that have zero suction. I'm not using these to pump, but rather wearing them in my sports bra to bed. They don't leak like regular shells, and they have the attached plug so I can't lose it! I find that the suction is not really so much for sucking milk out, but they do help them stay in place when I'm rolling around or active through the day. The suction is soft enough to be comfortable, and the material that touches my skin is extremely soft. I really like them, but they are not a replacement for my regular haakaa silicone pumps. When I get up to feed my LO I just take off the ladybugs and attach my regular haakaa for collection. I pour that and anything the ladybugs have collected in my kiinde bag and then back to sleep. If you're looking for a replacement for your haakas this is not it. But if you're looking for an amazing replacement for your standard breast shells, this is for sure way better.

So disappointing in terms of suction – Being a massive fan of the Haakaa silicone breast pumps, I was incredibly excited with the release of the milk collector to collect milk on-the-go. The design is cute with safety and health being up to Haakaa's usual standard of 100% food grade silicone. However that is about all that is positive about this product. The suction is incredibly weak, even when as much air as possible it expelled out of it prior to application. The Haakaa pumps can stand up to a strong kick from baby, but the milk collector can literally be flicked off with a finger. It is designed to fit inside your bra, but not being flat means that it requires extra room. Once the air is squeezed out, it also means that it squishes the nipple completely, which is counterintuitive to milk flow. It claims that it can also be used as a breast pump, but I find that it barely has even one tenth the suction power of the actual pump.
