Simple uncomplicated functional dryer – Purchased for my new house. Recommended by JBHiFi as an affordable easy to use dryer. Comes with a sticker that shows instructions if you choose to use dryer upside down on wall ie. so your instructions aren’t upside down. ( see photo). I will put mine on top of front loader before I start using regularly, as I’m a tall person. Maybe a bit louder than I’m used to but for the money, it does a good job. No complaints.

Avoid buying - not a great product by most definitions – Was convinced by salesman a few years ago to geta Haier washing machine - it's terrible, but does the job. I've gotten used to how average it is, and only remember and realise when I wash my kids clothes in an emergency at my parents/in-laws house. I had to replace my dryer and, shame on me, got the Haier. I won't make the same mistake again. For a brand new dryer, it's terrible. I have a family with 4 kids and two adults, and regularly use the dryer when I need to get ahead on the washing. This thing isn't up to the job. It takes hours to even make a dent on wet clothes, and condensation leaks out of the front door and where the exhaust port is. This pools up on the floor. There's also a burning smell that comes out of it when it's in operation.

I'm not going you waste any more time: just avoid Haier and don't listen when they tell you that "they have Fisher and Paykel internals. I'm going to avoid Fisher and Paykel for the rest of my natural life, too. This dryer is trash, and I'm convinced they anything else you buy, from a reputable brand, will be better.

Problems aren't responded to by Haier – Dryer works well as far as drying clothes goes; however it also leaves black marks on the clothes as well. Had a Haier technician come and look at it, he didn't think it was fixable and tried contacting Haier about it - 4 months later he still has had no response despite repeated enquiries. Meanwhile I have gone back to line drying most items so they don't get ruined.

Excellent Dryer – I needed to upgrade our dryer and I wanted to buy absolutely the best. The idea was to purchase a Heat Pump model but I found out that Heat Pump and Condenser Dryer cannot be hanged on the wall upside-down and in my laundry I do not have room on the floor. So I did some researches online to find out the best Vented Dryer and I ended up purchasing the Haier Sensor Vented Dryer HDV70E1. This dryer is really great. Thanks to its sensor it dry up clothes very quickly and perfectly. So far I am very happy. The only negative comment I have to make is that the manual tells you to attach the reverse panel (provided) but it does not explains how to remove the control knob. If there is a screw to remove or if you just have to pull hard. I tried pulling but it was very hard and I was concerned to break the actual controller. So, I called technical support for assistance. They told me that the technician was not available at the time. They took my details and say that somebody would get back to me soon. A couple of days later they contacted me to confirm that I had just to pull the knob hard. It was too hard to remove by pulling it bare hands so I used two small 90 degrees angled brackets to apply force simultaneously to the left and right of the knob and I was so able to easily remove it without damaging the controller.
