This Is A Perfect Piece Of Rubbish! – I guess I don't need to type too much more because everyone here just mentioned all the problem. I got this machine when I bought the house. I guess the previous owner gave up on using it and went back to hand wash. Noisy like a steam train at your kitchen, upper spin arm cracked and leaked, dirt too easy to accumulate at the door seal, 50% of times it leave dirty dishes. Take forever to run. Move on, get something better for you money.

Disastrous! Run a mile! – This machine is brand new and has already cost us a lot of trouble and money. We bought it to go into a new kitchen. After the plumber had installed it, he ran a short cycle. No problem. A few days later, I ran a normal program. No problem. Three days later, our painters who were finishing off the new kitchen reported significant water damage that… Read more

had ruined their new work and swollen the timber work around our double sliding glass doors.

The Haier technician took a video of a leaking tap (that hadn't been leaking when we reported the damage) and claimed that the flooding was due to the "suddsing" if the dishwashing product is used with the "wrong" cycle. In our case, we only ran 1 cycle - the normal one - using the product supplied with the dishwasher. Buy anything else.

Nobody wants to fix it – what a bargain we thought, tent sale at Harvey Norman in Oxley ran well for the first couple of months, then it started to smell, washed with dishwasher cleaner as directed, ok for a week then same thing.looked into it a little further and found that the sludge under yes under the door seal was to blame. then a few months ago it started stopping… Read more

in mid cycle, that mystically stopped, then it wasn't drying the dishes and last night turned it on and it turned itself off after 20 seconds tried again, same result. opened it up to find that it had not previously emptied. took it too Two local repairers one said it wasn't worth the effort , the second agreed with me that the board had probably blown and it would be cheaper to go and buy a new dishlex as they were far more reliable and a better buy for your buck

Will not buy one of these again, what worries me is that i was informed that this company had been purchased by Fisher and Pykle stainless steel finish bottom shelf contiuouly falling off runners. sludge build up at base of door seal

Never again – Wish I knew about this website 2 years ago. I look at our Haier monstrosity every day wishing it to die. It's so noisy I wait until we go out to turn it on. Even then it's basically a waste of time since it pretty much only steams the dishes instead of washing them as it's title implies. It takes 1.5 hours for a normal cycle. It doesn't have a… Read more

pause option. Dishwashing powder sticks and turns solid in the dispenser. The only good thing about it is that it has served as the prime example of what not to buy and what I should be looking for next time.

Everything is wrong with it.

waste of money – Installed a Haier HDW100SCT dishwasher two years ago work. It performed ok for first 6 -12 months. Over the last 12 months its perforamced has detoriated and over teh last 6 months it has been far less than satsifactory. We have now tired of rewashing most items that were washed by the Haier and no longer use and it now it just takes up space. I… Read more

Terrible – I have owned and used many dishwashers but this one is by far the worst. Moved into an apartment which had a brand new one, but it is slow and does not wash or dry well. Even coffee cups come out with marks still in them. I would not recommend it. I'm sure it's cheap but it's worth spending more on a better make. Looks quite neat Cheaply made, takes 1h30m for a normal wash and still doesn't wash or dry satisfactorily.

OK – I bought this about 3 years ago. It's still going but a few times I have thought it was ready for the dump. The first problem I had was the top washing arm had a little bit of plastic break off it resulting in it leaking water in the wrong place and not turning. I rang to get a replacement but was told the thing would be over $80, for a bit of… Read more

plastic. I used a twisty tie and fixed it myself. It's been working good since.

The next problem was water wasn't draining. I thought the pump was gone but after days and days of putting hot water, vinegar and baking soda through it seemed to come back to normal. Must have clogged somewhere.

The most recent problem was after the Brisbane floods. The dishwasher didn't go under water but upon returning home after 10 days the 'flood switch' had activated. It wouldn't work and started tripping the mains power safety switch. After searching on the net and asking around it was suggested I tip the thing on it's side to get the water out and it will reset. I tipped it about 45dgrees to the left and water came out. After that it worked fine again, YIPPEEE

A lot of people have mentioned all the plastic corroding and falling apart. I haven't had this problem. The whole time I have never used the chemical dishwashing detergents. I have tried the more natural ones. Most don't work well in this dishwasher but the two brands that really clean well in this dishwasher is Method brand dishwasher tablets (Woolworths only) and Coles Green choice tablets. I most always us the heavy cycle for a better clean.

Yes, the cycle takes forever to end.

I have never had a new dishwasher before so can't compare it to any. Before this I only ever used an 80's dishlex dishwasher. I think they washed better because this used more water.

The Haier is very noisy. We have a small open plan house so we have to tun up the TV to hear it when the dishwsher is on. Cheapest in the shops, light wieght. Noisy, long cycle, parts are super expensive.

Super little package – It has worked like a dream since it was purchased. Never a problem, has had hundreds of loads for our family of six and not missed a beat. Had a flood switch issue once but tilt to left it's great. Only thing is it is on the noisy side. overall very good though, very glad we got it. Reliable. inexpensive. heaps of variations available in load distribution Noisier than other models Show reply

Terrible – Consumer affairs shouldn't allow this machine to be sold in Australia. Calling this thing a 'dishwasher' is stretching the truth. I have given it one star because there isn't the option of negative stars, and I wanted to make sure my rating showed how dismal this machine is. Thank-you productreview.com.au. than 'Choice'. I bought my Bosch washing machine based on the reviews here and it has been fantastic. I put this review in to do my part for what I think is a great consumer service you are offering. Gave me wisdom to cancel my 'Choice' membership. After feeling very pleased with myself for saving about $600 buying this machine based on a positive 'Choice' review, I decided 'Choice' reviews are worthless. This machine was rated better than our previous Dishlex - um - not so!!! Everything. Dishracks are clunky and keep slipping out of place. Nothing comes out clean and this diswasher completely trashed my Rayco cookware and scratched my glassware. My dishlex washed these for years, mostly perfectly clean and never damaged a thing. It is easier to handwash stuff INSTEAD of putting it through this dishwasher as the grit this machine magically applies to stuff in the upper rack is much more difficult to wash than regular dirty dishes. The reason I say 'magically' is because I can't find where the 'grit' is coming from - I have cleaned every accessable mm of this machine, put in clean glassware to test and it has still come out dirty.

Terrible – After reading Haier reviews both in Aus and the UK I'm thinking that we were lucky getting 4 years use out of it. You do get what you pay for (or don't get what you don't pay for is probably more apt). The dishwasher died during the week, basically melting itself from the inside, and if our smoke alarm didn't detect the melting plastics then I… Read more

think it might have taken out the whole house. The toxic smoke billowing through the house was disgusting. Every item that was in the dishwasher at the time has to be thrown out as it was all covered in a plastic film that couldn't be removed and was possibly hazardous to health. So we lost the money we threw at the dishwasher, servicing and about that again on new crockery and cutlery. Last year I had to have it serviced because the hinges on the door broke - after 3 service calls (or should I call them episodes of Fawlty Towers) I ended up fixing it myself! My advice - stay away from Haier - considering the life of their products and issues with service they are in fact very expensive products. Not a lot to say here. It was cheap and worked for a few years. After sales service is non-existent. Cheaply made. Gave out a burning chemical smell for the first 2 months. After 4 years it died a spectacular death nearly burning my house down!

Good – It cleans better than my previous top brand dishwasher, and the cycle is shorter too. I load it with really dirty dishes and pans and it does a great job. I recommend it to anyone who wants a basic dishwasher without any frills that cleans well and is simple to operate. Good value for money. Washes well and cleans everything without pre-rinsing. Simple to operate and had a cancel program mode, which is very useful. It's a bit noisy.

Terrible – Worst heap of crap and the 1300 number is the same and the warranty is not worth having always read the fine print.I will never purchase this brand again. The Price is the only good thing about this unit I useed it 10 about ten times and it broke down and you guessed it try and talk to the service people is like talking to the dead.

Terrible – If i really hated someone I would give the dishwasher to them and go buy a dishwasher from a decent retailer. may have gone with Barry's redcliffe if they were half decent. Less than half decent, they will never see me again. Do not under any circumstance deal with Barry' Redcliffe and do not buy a Haier/Gianni product unless you like products that don't work and won't fix a problem or refund your money. It looks ok, but is a little cheap looking There is litterally nothing to like...loud as hell, no delay funcion, cyles last forever, the dishes are not washed or dried propery even after a cyle that lasts for over 2 hours.

*Light wash or glass wash only leaves things looking spotty or milky.

*Suddenly stopped working after 9 months with 3 beeps, a pause then 3 beeps, another pause etc ....looked it up in the manual and it says the problem is a kinked drain hose or the hose is too high. Rubbish! The hose worked just fine in its current position for 9 months, how can it suddenly be too high?!

*The problem seems to be a blockage but I was on hold with customer care for 20 minutes, and then the call reset and the voice prompts began all over again asking me what service I wanted.

Absolute rubbish product with unaccaptable customer service.

Bad – We are in the older age bracket therefore could not afford an expensive dishwasher. We purchased extra warranty to have it covered for 5 years all up. "Service" from haier is an absolute joke. They give you the run around, the phone drops out, no responses to emails.

I finally spoke to the new "customer care" manager, still no apology about the fire, he has offered a refund of purchase price, I asked for a replacement machine, apparently there are no dishwashers in the warehouse in Australia!! He said they would rather replace due to losing money on refund. I suggested to him the only one who is out of pocket is me, extended warranty (waste of money) delivery fee, now times 2, about 6 hours dealing with repairer, builders to replace burnt kitchen benches and waiting on the phone and insurance excess. No care and no interest is the response from haier. Do not deal with them.
