So our $1300 haier stove was BUILT in October 2003 and is just over 3 years old but it has been leaving fine rust power in the bottom of thebpven for a few months now. Today I discovered that the rust is all over the INSIDE of the rear fan housing because they only put the enamel on the visible surfaces! Absolutely poor quality (same with our haier washing machine but that's a whole separate story)

I'll NEVER ever buy another haier low quality product!

Purchased for $1,300.

This oven / cooktop is not made to last. It may be well designed, but it seems quite poorly constructed. We have been using this oven / cooktop for only a year or so. Several issues may be mentioned. Firstly, the knobs controlling the heat of the top elements do not always turn on, but need to be jiggled a bit in certain positions. Fortunately there are the little red lights that tell you if the elements are actually on or not. Secondly, one of the lights that warn that one part of the stove top is still warm now remains on permanently. Thirdly, the timer no longer works properly and often sticks. This is unfortunate, as the oven will not heat up unless the timer is on. When it sticks, the oven will remain on far longer than planned. Fourthly, the fan at the back of the stove, after only one year of typical household use, has decided to shoot out sparks. I've no idea if the oven still works if the fan isn't engaged, but this is not the sort of behaviour that one expects from a year-old oven. I can't recommend this product at all. My only consolation is that I'm renting, and it's not me that will be paying for repairs, or a replacement.

Great little budget oven – We bought this little oven on a budget and were pleasantly surprised! Not only does it look stylish but it’s easy to clean, bakes, roasts and grills perfectly. Brownie points for seperate grill with pull out draw. The only reason I’ve deducted a point is due to the knobs feeling a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the unit.
