VERY DISAPPOINTED – I purchaed this machine new in March 2018 and it has worked quite well. Not perfect as the door needs an extra push to get the machine to start. I am singe and do on average two loads a week. However in macrh this year it started to make a lot of noise on spin. Being an ex appliance repairman I knew that the problem was main bearing failure. pulling it down to replace the bearings and seal I found that the surface that the waterseal runs against had a split right through the stainless steel surface from back to front. This had to be a manufacturing fault. Nothing else would creat this problem. A stainless steel does not just split. I believe that as I have used the machine so little, maybe 500 cycles over its life (the average family with children would probabaly do more than 2500 loads in 5years) the manufacturer should at least supply the parts required at no charge. I would cover the labour involved in fitting of the parts. No go with Haier. A washing machine should last 10 years plus with no major faults. Obviously the quality control by Haier is not up to standard as the split in the s/steel surface should have been picked up during the manufacturing assembly of the machine
Unfortunately another landfill product – It was good while it lasted. And it lasted mere 4 years. About 18 months ago machine started showing FA error code intermittently. It would happen every 8-10 or so washes. Unplugging the machine from power and leaving it off for a few hours would usually make the code go away. Over time the frequency of FA code increased. FA error indicated faulty… Read more
water level sensor which was replaced about 8 weeks ago. The FA errors started again last week and now they won't even go away. Haier quoted $150 for inspection by technician plus any parts and labour needed. Replacement main electronic board is $220 + $15 for shipping. At this point it is not viable to throw any more money at this machine.
Can't fault this machine – After a couple of months we can't be more happy with this unit. You can barely hear it in operation. So far so good. Does everything promised and clothes are cleaned and dried to anyone's standard. One review said it was noisy but it must have been a one off. Show details
A Ripper – Price is what you pay and values what you get, this machine is great value! Does a great job washing clothes and its fairly quiet. I like how it remembers your load type when you turn it on (eg temp, spin, cycle) so its kinda set and forget plus it switches itself off when its finished. It is super heavy and a little tricky to get perfect leg… Read more
adjustment to get it balanced.
If you're considering a fuss free front loader I'd check this one out. Front loaders are like business class, once you've had a taste its hard to go back to economy.
Excellent machine for the price – This machine does a phenomenal job at cleaning clothes. With a 1400rpm spin the clothes come out very dry, which cuts down drying time. It has a good selection of cycles and temperatures, and cycle times are comparable to the new "high efficiency" top loaders. Negatives: It is almost impossible to get the balancing right, and the machine tends to walk around the laundry. The spin cycle is a little noisy as well. Show details
Best 8.5kg for the price – The Haier 8.5kg washing machine does everything you need it to do. High quality finishes and everything feels solid. Bought at JBHIFI Home for $496. Pros Affordable front load washing machine Large 8.5kg capacity High quality brand Con Doesnt get thing as clean as some more exoensive models Power button did get stuck in at one point as it sticks out from the front Show details
Excellent value – 2 months into the purchase and the machine is proving that you don't have to spend the large amounts of money which some may suggest. The simple design and easy functions make it easier enough for the kids to use, let alone the husband. The quick 1 hour wash works really well. We purchased this to replace a 7 year old expensive LG Steam… Read more
washing machine (two pumps and a solenoid replaced). We find the Haier cleans the clothes better than the LG and in much less time.
Is it noisy? I guess it is, but no more noisy than any other machine spinning clothes at 1400 rpm
As for the looks.........its a white washing machine. Probably won't cut the mustard for our hipster friends out there to complete their perfect laundry.
Quiet and efficient – This washing machine is great value for money. I bought it on sale for half of what a bosch would cost. It operates quiet and surprisingly it's quieter than than Bosch I own, especially with the spin cycle. It has large capacity which I love the most. 16 washing program is great and versatile. The machine itself is lighter than the bosch I have… Read more
which makes it easy to install. It has a power efficient function, it shuts off automatically to save power when it's done washing.
Great value. Does everything asked of it – Bought this because it was the cheapest front load washer Jb Hi-Fi had with good reviews. The machine looks really nice and modern, it does a good job washing, a great job rinsing but it is a little louder than previous machines. For the price though I really can't complain. Not so sure about reliability but so far so good. 2-year warranty makes it a no-brainer! Show details
It's amazing. Easy to use – It has several modes to choose that you can clean and rinse your clothes different types. It's almost doesn't wear-out my clothes. It's a little bit noise especially when it was spinning. I think my favourite features are daily mode and strong mode. No doubt it's a very famous brand in China. Show details
Great value washing machine! – This is a fantastic washing machine in all regards. It is quiet, offers a bunch of different operating modes to suit any washing and is quite good with water and energy efficiency. It is not too noisy and stays stationary while in use without much vibration. For the price, you won't find a better 8.5kg washing machine. Show details
