Only Pretendeds To Spin Dry – I should have done a search of reviews for this machine before buying. I fully understand why this and the previous model are discontinued. I did work well for a while but then started going out of balance and leaving clothes wet after pretending to spin. I note the previous model had the same problem. I even goes out of balance when empty of… Read more
clothes. As this is my spare machine only used occasionaly I did not get around to looking for repair and have now realised the warranty has expired. Not happy Jan!
Don't buy this machine – We bought this washer on recommendation from sales staff, but quickly had problems with it. When spinning clothes (with very reasonably sized loads) it would shudder and jump around the laundry. This required 2 separate visits from technicians to repair within the first 6 weeks. At 2 months old, it then unexpectedly overflowed with water half way… Read more
through a regular cycle, flooding our laundry and kitchen. We called Fisher & Paykel (parent company) for a refund since the last technician said if there were any more issues they would replace the machine. After several transfers through their call centre, we were told that a return would be approved and the return paperwork would be sent back to the retailer by email the next day. The return advice was not there for the following 3-4 days and both the retail staff and I could not get through to the F&P service number, often waiting in cue for 45 mins before being abruptly hung up on. Chasing it further, I got in contact with them a week later and they apologised that someone was "off work," and they claimed to have "escalated this issue to the team and will have it processed asap." 2 days after this, an email was sent to the retailer, but to the wrong email address. Because I, as the customer, sat through further phone calls to call centres, I was able to get the right information to the retailer to find the return authorisation email, 12 days in total after I was told it should be there. This represents a colossal failure from both the performance of the machine itself, but also the service from the manufacturer. It was really poor service that cost me a lot of time to resolve. Before buying this brand, I was sceptical because the price was cheaper than competitors and I didn't have any personal experience with their products. Now that I've had such a bad run, I'll never buy Haier or Fisher & Paykel again.
