Income Protection Insurance with First State Super – Don't do it. These people are not accountable or transparent. Not only do they not answer your letters but when they do reject your claim you are none the wiser. I received a letter with typing errors and when I asked for a review (while still laughing at their poorly written letter) nothing happened. I have now been waiting six months for a… Read more
simple review of an increase in cover. Their service is not just bad it is unbelievable.
Gian Bhogal (NB. Hopefully they will now look me up on their system and actually do something.)
Poor Service – Took nearly 4 months, 2 letters, 3 calls, and numerous calls from my accountant to get things sorted. The worst service of all time. Their web page is nearly as bad. Half the time you cannot even log on. You cannot see your personal contributions, only employer contributions. I thought things may improve after change over and merger, but no… Read more
still the same very poor service. If you wonder why people choose to leave your fund may I suggest you read some of the feedback on this site. You can spread your money around a bit better these days Poor service - it is not service orientated at all
Bad – if this fund really was for my benefit, they would have advised me -a woman with low super close to retirement- to move my fund into the low risk area while the current crisis continues. It also costs me over $500.00 in annual fees, so not cheap. Advice to stop personal contributions would also have been appropriate during this time that it is an… Read more
industry fund they are not proactive in getting best outcome for individuals, with regard to age and levels of super
Terrible – you get hit by a car and health super doesn't want to know you. i was unable to work for 9 months. the TAC payments barely kept me afloat. so what's the point of having income protection if they don't honor a legitimate claim?? evil corporate blood suckers! i'd suggest looking elsewhere for a super fund, god knows i will be. in general the staff… Read more
i've spoken to have been rude and un-helpful!!! i've had nothing but drama trying to lodge an income protection form. now, over one year later they're saying because i received TAC payments i'm entitled to 0% income protection.
Terrible – This company is ineffective, uncommunicative and unprofessional. They are happy to take your money, lose some for you and lavish a bit more on their fund managers. Do yourself a favour and set up your own SMS, take your own responsibility for your own hard earned funds and perhaps one day enjoy the fruits of your hard work, not to donate it to… Read more
those who don't care about who you are, how much you've sacrificed nor that their inefficient bumbling causes you to require a government nursing home bed because you can't afford to support your lifestyle in older age..
Health super are inefficient and uncommunicative.
They bundgled my super selection when I turned 50 & having self-selected into my investment product, their 'system' automatically defaults to a product that due to the GFC exposed my funds unessarily and I lost more money than I should have.
Now that I have set up my own SMS they 'oops' neglected to advise that one piece of ID having been certified didn't have a date. This has now prevented me from taking up a good investment offer that closes tomorrow.
These frauds cannot be trusted – There is only one honest employee - Jackie Lees. The rest of them are liars, cheats and frauds who use the name of [name removed] who is not a current employee (she does not exist) to fraudulently dupe members. My lung collapsed twice since the first of June 2008 and these employees, deliberately misinformed me and delayed my claim to the extent… Read more
I almost lost my house due to financial crisis.
[2] Informed me I had Any Occupation cover in regard to Disability cover, and when my 2 year income only period expired, then told me I did not have it. The was directly the opposite to when I took out the cover & was advised on two separate occasions by so called managers.
[3] HealthSuper also go through a fraudulent process with AIA where they eventually submit the documents for Income Protection Insurance and wait for Medicare to supply your medical history and with full awareness of a minimum 8 week delay so they can attract interest on your benefits.
[4] There was no PDS supplied that actually applied to the period when the cover was first taken out.
[5] One employee via HealthSuper and working for AIA, Informed me when I explained about the likelihood of losing my house said; "Thats not my [censored word removed] problem."
I warn anyone considering this company - they are as legitimate as a three dollar note & cannot tell the truth. One employee was honest in all her dealings Even their Chief Financial Officer avoided me when it became clear they would not pay out
